Read everless probably 2 years ago so I didn’t remember much anything and therefore didn’t really enjoy this book

I will admit that I was excited to get to the conclusion of this duology after reading Everless。 However， this book was lacking something。 It almost felt too rushed to reach a conclusion to me。 The heart-breaking twist was a neat addition that I was not expecting which did help save the fast ending。

Wow what an ending！ Stunning twists and writing！ Never thought it would end this way and although the ending again （like the first book） seemed a bit rushed， it was powerful and unlike any other book。 A masterpiece of a book to end the series。

La sensación que se me queda después de la lectura es que si 'Everless: la hechicera y el alquimista' hubiese sido un libro más largo y mejor aprovechado， no habría sido necesario este， sobre todo con el final que tiene la bilogía。 Dos libros completos dando vueltas sobre lo mismo para que la solución sea （view spoiler）[la bóveda de los Gerling （hide spoiler）]。 Me parece una decepción porque la historia tenía mucho más potencial que este。 La trama podría haber tenido más contenido y no ser tanta La sensación que se me queda después de la lectura es que si 'Everless: la hechicera y el alquimista' hubiese sido un libro más largo y mejor aprovechado， no habría sido necesario este， sobre todo con el final que tiene la bilogía。 Dos libros completos dando vueltas sobre lo mismo para que la solución sea （view spoiler）[la bóveda de los Gerling （hide spoiler）]。 Me parece una decepción porque la historia tenía mucho más potencial que este。 La trama podría haber tenido más contenido y no ser tanta queja constante de Jules ni tanto desgaste de Liam por intentar que ella entienda ciertas cosas。 Esta segunda parte la aguanta Caro con mucha diferencia sobre el resto de personajes。 Ella se fortalece， monta toda la narrativa para dejar a Jules a los pies de los caballos y se protege a ella misma utilizando a Ina como escudo。 El punto por el que Jules "gana" y con el que creo que Caro no contaba es este último。 Yo no me esperaba que （view spoiler）[Ina creyera realmente a Jules y la ayudara a que entrara en el castillo。 Eso para mí fue una gran sorpresa。 Es el punto débil de Caro y el que la hace claudicar finalmente。 （hide spoiler）]（view spoiler）[El final de Caro es precioso y duro al mismo tiempo。 Me da rabia que quede abierto， que la autora deje a entender que Caro volverá siendo buena。 Con que supiéramos que Caro se arrepentía y entendía el por qué Jules hizo lo que hizo era suficiente。 （hide spoiler）]No me gustó como se desarrolló a Liam en esta parte。 Me gusta que se muestre el carácter pero Jules lo marea demasiado y lo acaba machacando。 Parte de eso es responsabilidad de él pero la autora podría haber tenido más cuidado en ese sentido。 Me quedo con el Liam de la primera parte。 Jules es para dar de comer aparte。 No se puede ser más terca y más cansina。 Todo el rato apartando a todo el mundo， discutiendo con quien quiere protegerla。 No le hace ningún favor a nadie。Hay un detalle que me pareció raro de narices y es cuando （view spoiler）[Stef le devuelve el diario a Jules y no le pregunta en el momento a esta si lo ha leído。 ¿No tiene curiosidad？ ¿Le da igual？ Después Stef le dice que no leyó nada。 Su familia defendió al alquimista durante un tiempo， tienes su diario y， ¿no lo lees？ No me parece coherente。 （hide spoiler）]El cierre de la bilogía podría haber tenido un final mucho más digno y con más fuerza。 。。。more

Este libro se me hizo más intrigante que el primero ， pero siento que su inicio hasta más o menos la mitad me ha llegado a aburrir 。 El libro en si no tiene casi romance ， por lo que lo recomiendo un montón para niños de más de 12 años a delante 。 Eso sí ， su final es impactante y abierto ， por lo que me hace replantearme si no habrá una tercera parte ， y tiene pinta de ser épica 。

A perfect contrast to the first book。 I did not enjoy most of the storyline up until the ending。 The ending is really what saved the book from a three star review。 Before that， the main character was very shy and timid and always making the wrong move but I was glad to see her become what she needed to be。 I like that the author set up the option to write a third book without making it a necessity。

I wish Holland would have kept this duology as one book instead。 It could have easily been wrapped up in Everless。My main irk about these two books is the lack of relationship building。 Like。。。 WHY did Jules fall in love with Liam so dang fast？ There wasn’t really a turning point in their relationship， she just fell head over heels without a reason。 The last two chapters saved this entire book。 I really did like the ending honestly。 Just kind of dragged through the first 30 chapters 🤦🏼♀️

I really liked this book series！！ I have to admit， it wasn’t the best plot， but it still was entertaining to read。 Also- Liam and Jules are goals！！ 10/10 would recommend！！
