On 10 August 2021, Lionel Messi's beautiful Barcelona fairy tale came to an end as he completed a dramatic move to Paris Saint-Germain。 Despite flourishing in the blue and white of the national side, delivering Argentina their first silverware in twenty-eight years - beating Brazil on their home soil to win the Copa América - Messi endured a difficult first season in Paris。

I think the secret about why messi was so good was how much effort and hours he put into it and his natural talent。 I think he would have trained on average 3 – 4 hours a day as a kid。 The downfall to Messi’s career so far is how many injuries he had received and I don’t think that he looked after his body that well although he is very good and I admire him very greatly。 Food was important to messi because it prevented injuries most of the time and he was fit to play。 。。。more

“Messi is a poster, Maradona is a flag” This has to be right up there as one of the best biographies that I have ever read of a professional footballer。 Messy without a shadow of a doubt is one of the greatest footballers if not the greatest of our generation。 Personally I would rank him behind Maradona Zidane and Pele。 Argentina got to the final of the World Cup in Brazil 2014 so the stage was set for him to cause damage and for one reason or another he wasn’t really able to take the game by th “Messi is a poster, Maradona is a flag” This has to be right up there as one of the best biographies that I have ever read of a professional footballer。 Messy without a shadow of a doubt is one of the greatest footballers if not the greatest of our generation。 Personally I would rank him behind Maradona Zidane and Pele。 Argentina got to the final of the World Cup in Brazil 2014 so the stage was set for him to cause damage and for one reason or another he wasn’t really able to take the game by the scruff of the neck。 The detail in this book is immaculate both from a historical perspective because it tracks me Leos footballing career from historical perspective from his simple starts in Rosario Argentina right through to the Imperial Heights he has reached as a elite and freakish almost professional footballer。 This summer the World Cup in Russia will be another key moment in his life where he has the opportunity to put a stake in the ground and proclaim himself to be one of the greatest of all time。Personally I’m not sure if he will be able to do it。 There is a clear humbleness that comes through in the book about his character and if you look at some of the greatest players in the world I believe they had many different characteristics but humility probably wasn’t right up there with all of them。 It would’ve been interesting for me to see what Leos career and trajectory would’ve been like had he had that streak of arrogance that Ronaldo or Ibrahimović clearly have。 I could go on and on and on talking about the little flea or the leper as his team was called in Argentina (newells) but enough has been said about Leo from an amateur perspective like mine。 I think this biography had so many interesting parts to it that that had me annotating the book on multiple occasions。 Here are some of my favourite bits:Someone bought messy a kilo of oranges And some tennis balls。 They asked him to practice with them for a week seven days later the recorded the tape but showed him making 113 touches with an orange。 With a tennis ball it was easier 140 touches。 There was a table tennis ball lying around。 Give it to Leo they gave it to him。 29 touches in a row with the table tennis ball。 You try it。 See if you can reach three。 This Leo had an advantage over you he spent all day every day with the ball between games during the game at home in the school yard every blessed day。 And it was there that they would finish what they started another game of first to six goals。 Once more giving it their all。 Four hours of non-stop football sometimes more。Football is life in rosario and life is football。And to that end the spirit of the city is appropriately reflected in one goal in particular according to the Guinness book of records the most celebrated goal in history。 It happened on 19 December 1971 in a match played in the suffocating heat in Buenos Aires in Argentina。 It was the semifinals of the national championship and the only time the two clubs newells and Central Add face teacher other in the country’s capital。 Neither side was able to find the oppositions nets in a match that was taken up with the battle to win control。 Then 13 minutes from time there was a foul close to one of the penalty areas。 Aldo Pedro Poy the rosario  central striker made his way into the area 。 As he did so he called out to one of the camerman。 What was it? A premonition a prediction? Call it what you will。 Get your cameras ready this one is going in he said。 And so it happened。 The goal scorer jostling with his marker before getting away from him soared into the air with his body arched his arms extended and hit a flying header into the goal。 So what if the ball had brushed the stomach of the central defender and wrongfooted the goalkeeper? It was a goal and a definitive one so the eternal rival had been knocked out in the semifinals。 Central went on to win the final and the first title they had one in the history but that was not as celebrated as that strikers diving header。 The ambitiously titled organizacion canalla for Latin America as for the past three decades met every 19th December on the pitch at the central stadium: on this day someone crosses the ball and Poy Reenacts the diving header。 Lately however the problem as the striker himself says is not so much making the dive but getting up again afterwards :-)In life there are three elements: mission vision and values as the prestigious Argentinian sport psychologist Liliana grabbin。 The legs you inherit from your father is the way he walks the path the values he transmits。 Leo carries with him the strong personality of his mother and the calmness tolerance and forbearance of his father: strange combination: yinyang I suppose。 But he also passed on to him humility self-sacrifice and tenacity。 But the son is also the result of his fathers vision。 Jorge Once said that to her your name being chanted is the greatest thing that can happen to a human being。Alfredo Distefano played in the same Riverside if only as a replacement for Adolfo pedernera。 The blonde arrow as he is now in Spain adapted to the style of play wherever he went to both as a player and coach。 at Espanyol tired of seeing the ball flying over the heads of the players Distefano stoped the training mid session and asked what is the ball made out of? Leather they answered。 Where do you get leather from。 From A cow And what does the cow eat?。 Grass they said : to which Distefano replied right so play the ball on the grass then。;)Arsène Wenger Says to get the highest level you need to believe in yourself to a greater  degree that can be logically justified。 All great sportsmen have this capacity for a logical optimism。 Not a single athlete has ever reached its maximum potential without the ability to eliminate from his mind any shadow of a doubt。Leo’s first position following a pass saw him increased the speed of the game。 This is one of Leo’s first games for the Barcelona men’s team and within seconds of receiving the ball he changed the dynamic and acceleration of the entire game。 Never underestimate what you can do as an individual player on the football pitch。Sometimes Leo would eat at La Massia with the Barcelona B team and then later on again in one of the Argentinian restaurants in Barcelona。 The usual menu day would consist of a couple of pies always meat。 Then a scallope Milanese 。 He was so fond of the 200 g of meat dipped in egg and breadcrumbs with tomato sauce with ham and cheese cooked in the oven always with chips and always without salad that in the restaurant see frequented it was known as La Milamessi。 And to finish his meal he would have ice cream made with sweetened milk and chocolate。 Occasionally he would vary the food with a plate of meat ravioli。 Always washed down with water or Coca-Cola。 He didn’t touch alcohol。 The waiter used to joke with him about a bit of fish which would do him good to which she would answer yuck fishes are for the water。 If fish or meat wholesalers happened to offer him a case of Argentinian King prawns as a gift Leo insisted that they give them to his father but they should bring him some Argentinian meat next time。 On occasions he would go to the restaurant to eat on Sundays at midday and go on there from there to the ground especially when Rijkaard in his last monthsAt the club allowed players to arrive at the stadium just for the games by the time I get there I would’ve digested all the food Leo would say to him self。 If there wasn’t a game after training he would have a long siesta wake up at about four and eat a pizza if he was thirsty he would drink a litre and a half of Coca-Cola。 A complete lack of nutritional control。 He lived the life of a student and it showed on some of the injuries that he’d started to pick up in his early part of his career at Barcelona。Leo had learned many lessons in his professional life。 One of those was losing the championship in the game against Espanyol。 Leo lost possession and didn’t TrackBack to recover the ball。 He doesn’t make that mistake any more。 In that Barcelona Derby Leo scored both goals in 2-2 draw including one with his hand to make it 1-1。 He jumped to head the ball and beat the goalkeeper to it by using his left-hand。 A little bit like what Magherdonnagh did against England in the World Cup in 1986。 Moral judgement of the goal draws different conclusions depending on which hemisphere you come from。 For better or for worse guile is considered part of the Latin game And the Latin gene, something that will never be understood by Anglo-Saxon sensibilities。Rijkaard was In charge at the club at one of the most difficult moments in its history and managed to bring Barcelona back to the position and standing that they deserved。 The people in charge of the team management opted for a long lasting football model and the final downward spiral led by a number of bad decisions was ultimately the consequence of success。 Often sadly that is more difficult to digest。 This reminds me of the saying nothing fails like success。 Two years later he was a man。 The number 10 fitted him like a glove。 You won’t seem training in the gym or doing many extra hours But he carried with him the one thing that is so hard to time: can you that it was his time and he grabbed it with both hands。The late actor Kristen Reeves who knew more than most about the highs and lows the triumphs and the pain said that many dreams appear impossible at first later improbable and finally when we set our minds to it they become inevitable。The following are the 10 most important things that you need to become a professional footballer according to this authorFamily and football and contextRestlessness and motivationAmbition competitiveness and focusConsistencyCommitment and sacrificeHumility (I disagree with this one to a certain extent)Emotional intelligence and its benefits which are adaptation and a control of emotionsEnjoymentGeneticsWhen someone is motivated principally for themselves rather than financial rewards or social standing is they acquire a long list of psychological benefits: the struggle is less hard : persistence is then a pleasure。His focus the sports psychologist say is absolute centred。 Many of those who stand out in science culture or sport have the same vision; they say that Archimedes remained focused on an experiment while syracuse the city he was in was being invaded: the order had been given that the inventor an astronomer should not be harmed but archimedes Sat concentrating on what he was doing Unti he noticed the soldier。 don’t mess up my circles he told the soldier as he sat drawing in the sand。 The Roman killed him with a single blow。Mozart explains syed had 3500 hours of practice by the time he was six and studied music for 18 years before writing his first great work his piano Concerto No。 9 at the age of 21。Van Gogh: Neither did he have an inmate gift for painting。 He was not an instant genius but tireless technician who to learn his craft to understand the mechanics and the use of colour copied out then 197 illustrations for a drawing manual by Charles Barrow neither did he have an innate gift the painting。 He was not an instant genius but tireless technician who had to learn his craft to understand the mechanics。 He did all this once no not once but three times。 For that reason we need to proceed with care to classify a youngster as a natural talent is to potentially overshadow the struggle and sacrifices you need to make to develop that talent further; if he thinks he’s born like this he can begin to think that he has no need to put in any effort whatsoever。 Leo has a tolerance to pain makes him get up soon as he Is kicked。 This is something he has had since he was very small bead through intuition or training he has the capacity to deal with the pain of a kick in the shortest possible time。 Even though the rival has probably done it on purpose to stop it is only thought was of the next move。Technique has its limits and that is given by coordination says Quique Dominguez。 Everything else can be taught everything can be learnt but you need to go beyond the technical level to be a great: Leo gives you a handshake and talks to you but you can see that secretly is looking for the ball you have to have that passion you have to have that commitment。Leos legs move faster than any other footballer I have seen in this gives him an advantage: the rhythm in his stride which is essentially natural is also unique: 4。5 strides per secondWhich is better than the 4。4 strides per second of asafa  powell The Jamaican sprinter broke the hundred metres world record in 2007。 The skill to carry out the smoothest of touches one after the other assisted by this gestural speed gives him another advantage。 And the ability to turn at full speed a mixture of coordination and speed is another physical attributes that helps him shake off his opponents。Being the best is not enough to be considered the best。 Messy is a poster, Maradona is a flag。 Wrote an Argentine writer: being the best is not enough to be considered the best。 Perfection reiterated isn’t perfection。 Messy is a poster, Magherdonnagh is a flag。 Wrote Argentine writer hugo ashe in an article ironically entitled messy the foreigner。 Magherdonnagh displays the characteristics of an astute streetwise Latin。 Messi also scored a goal with his hand。 With the ball like Diego he always has a trick up a sleeve but messi does not look to bend the rules to his own advantage。 Messy is too correct and proper in a country that is attracted to and even demands the incorrect away。Has an interesting question: put a 25-year-old Maradonna in the Barcelona team of pep Guardiola。 Where would Magherdonnagh play? Xavi or even Leo now occupy the space taken out by the number 10 of yesteryear。 Diego had in explosiveness and skill that would love him to play further up the pitch。 He would bang in the goals these days please cover many more miles than in his era and given his tendency to let himself go physically he could find it difficult to keep up with the demanding rhythm of the whole season。 Now imagine messy in Maradonnas Napoli shirt。 Against those tough defences that opted for man marking his intelligence and efficiency will make him the start of the side but the space the tactics even the ball is different and heavier he may well have found it difficult to lose his arrival。Pep gladiola he would demand that we concentrate on to 3 details that he had prepared for that particular day。 He wanted us to end up doing those things subconsciously and that is why the first sessions were somewhat repetitive: about the positions we had to take up or if the opponents at the ball how the attackers have to press lots of little things sadly after 2/3 weeks he no longer had to shout when you instinctively what was expected of us。don’t drive yourself mad only make the necessary runs listen to yourself your body will tell you if you notice anything raise your hand footballers have to follow much more than tactical instructions。Cristiano Ronaldo:。regularly does 3000 situps he systematically gets eight hours sleep every night and has extraordinary mental strength。 The thousands of hours with the ball allow him to make decisions un onsciously and to know the permutations of the game without thinking: he dribbles at full speed looking at his opponents feet he can dribble around 13 cones in eight seconds。 He anticipates opponents presence and the amount of Available and necessary space; and he senses whether The ball is going to fall even in the darkness as he has demonstrated in the film exercise which is available on YouTube in which she was asked to shoot with the light switched off just as a cross was put in。 He scored on both occasions and his reaction time was 300 ms。 He Even scored when the shot left the foot of the crosser after the lights were off。 His shot the famous tomahawk that sees the balls rise and fall like a missile is the consequence of practising 25 to 33 free kicks every day。 Xavi and iniesta were able to excellently “slowly cook” the moves which meant that the team didn’t need to run up and down the pitches as much and as fast。 Messi needed periods in the game in which he could recuperate。 。。。more
