I can see why people might not enjoy this， but I absolutely loved it。 I love how the book switches between classic narrative and extracts from articles， court records etc to build a full picture and extend the story beyond the basic plot line。

I really enjoyed the story！ The inserts of all the articles and research documents and post event interviews were a little distracting at times though。 Not my favorite but definitely still good。

Parte 1 - ok， meio parado。Parte 2 - já achei mais legal。Eu gostei do livro。 A leitura acabou não me prendendo tanto e realmente demorei mais do que eu esperava， mas entendo que talvez seja porque eu já conhecia a história e sabia o que ia acontecer。

I have， of course， seen the movie long ago。 And of course， the book is much better than I remember the movie being。 I had Sissy Soacek in my mind when I started reading， but that image was quickly replaced by King’s description of Carrie。 I found the lives of the other characters interesting， in how they related to Carrie， particularly Sue， Tommy， and the school administrators。 The portrait of a young woman who has lived a life filled with ridicule and bullying was interesting， but more interest I have， of course， seen the movie long ago。 And of course， the book is much better than I remember the movie being。 I had Sissy Soacek in my mind when I started reading， but that image was quickly replaced by King’s description of Carrie。 I found the lives of the other characters interesting， in how they related to Carrie， particularly Sue， Tommy， and the school administrators。 The portrait of a young woman who has lived a life filled with ridicule and bullying was interesting， but more interesting were those who were able to show some decency towards her， despite being part of the problem。Carrie’s mother was a character I had no sympathy for， nor do I think we were meant to sympathize with her。 Poor Carrie。。。she tried to assert herself， but it came too late。 Ultimately， I really enjoyed this book。 I didn’t care for the parenthetical interruptions， but that’s just one of those things along does。 。。。more
