Ever since he saw the legendary player known as “the Little Giant” compete at the national volleyball finals， Shoyo Hinata has been aiming to be the best volleyball player ever！ Who says you need to be tall to play volleyball when you can jump higher than anyone else？

Karasuno has qualified for the Spring Tournament！ The team buckles down to practice harder than ever， but Takeda immediately rushes in to announce that Kageyama is invited to participate in the All-Japan Under 19 Youth Training Camp， while Tsukishima is invited to the Miyagi Prefecture Rookie Camp！ Overflowing with jealousy and inspired by an offhanded comment made by Yamaguchi， Hinata takes it upon himself to get in on the action and crash the rookie training camp！

I got a lot of second hand embarrassment from Hinata's parts but it made me feel like I could relate to the characters more。 It was nice to see characters that other fans of the manga have as their favourite even if they didn't appear much。 The art remains amazing as always with key moments illustrated beautifully。 It was also good to see other characters return from earlier on in the series as well。 Although it is more of a build up to nationals， the volume is still as fun and inspiring as all I got a lot of second hand embarrassment from Hinata's parts but it made me feel like I could relate to the characters more。 It was nice to see characters that other fans of the manga have as their favourite even if they didn't appear much。 The art remains amazing as always with key moments illustrated beautifully。 It was also good to see other characters return from earlier on in the series as well。 Although it is more of a build up to nationals， the volume is still as fun and inspiring as all the others。 Haikyuu still remains one of the greatest sports manga's I have ever read， it's really inspiring and relatable especially for those who've ever been involved in team sports。 。。。more

8。71I loved Hinata’s growth in this one。 He really just looked at what others where doing and realised that he needed to take time to analyse his skills and take tips from people。 He definitely feels a lot more grown up。

Training camp arc！ Sometimes， these are even better than the matches themselves。 And damn do I really like this。 We get to see a variety of players from other teams （some we've met before， some we haven't）， and how their various styles and strengths/weaknesses clash with each other。 I love that Hinata is such a blank slate， with so little knowledge of volleyball， that even just learning fundamentals is a major improvement for him with his athletic prowess。 There's some big changes starting for b Training camp arc！ Sometimes， these are even better than the matches themselves。 And damn do I really like this。 We get to see a variety of players from other teams （some we've met before， some we haven't）， and how their various styles and strengths/weaknesses clash with each other。 I love that Hinata is such a blank slate， with so little knowledge of volleyball， that even just learning fundamentals is a major improvement for him with his athletic prowess。 There's some big changes starting for both Hinata and Kageyama， with a hint of what other players are doing too。 。。。more

It took me a considerable amount of time to bring myself to finish reading this one。 Why？ Three words:Second-hand embarrassment！I mean I knew it was coming， because I'd seen it in the anime （and believe me， it was hard enough to get through it then）， but somehow that didn't really help。 Some people might think of Hinata deciding to crash the special training camp at Shiratorizawa as being ballsy， or brave， or otherwise admirable。 Not me。 I found it so awkward， to the point where it was actually It took me a considerable amount of time to bring myself to finish reading this one。 Why？ Three words:Second-hand embarrassment！I mean I knew it was coming， because I'd seen it in the anime （and believe me， it was hard enough to get through it then）， but somehow that didn't really help。 Some people might think of Hinata deciding to crash the special training camp at Shiratorizawa as being ballsy， or brave， or otherwise admirable。 Not me。 I found it so awkward， to the point where it was actually a little uncomfortable to watch/read about。 And it may have all worked out for him in the end， but that doesn't stop the situation from being absolutely cringeworthy。I'd have given this volume a lower rating for that alone， but on reflection that didn't really seem fair。 After all， once I was done cringing I still enjoyed this volume as much as I've been enjoying the others。 。。。more

How is it possible to have some many characters in one series with such diverse personalities that I instantly fall in love with？！ Seriously， Hoshiumi was JUST introduced this volume， and I already FUCKING ADORE HIM！ I can't wait to see more of him， especially if he and Hinata end up facing off！Speaking of Hinata， he got some incredible character growth this volume and I am so damn proud of him！ I also love how he got thoroughly chewed out by everyone due to his reckless and selfish actions， it' How is it possible to have some many characters in one series with such diverse personalities that I instantly fall in love with？！ Seriously， Hoshiumi was JUST introduced this volume， and I already FUCKING ADORE HIM！ I can't wait to see more of him， especially if he and Hinata end up facing off！Speaking of Hinata， he got some incredible character growth this volume and I am so damn proud of him！ I also love how he got thoroughly chewed out by everyone due to his reckless and selfish actions， it's nice to see the adults not cut him any slack and let him know what he did was wrong。Finally， it was great seeing Kageyama work his the others at his camp。 I love how he can be awkward but polite during the match， but an absolute savage outside of the court。 He's awesome and I can't wait to see him put his training into practice。This was another great volume in a phenomenal series that makes me smile every time I read it。 The love I hold for this series is strong and true。 。。。more
