Hermoso libro。 La historia es sumamente cautivante。 Terminé de leerlo con la certeza de que definitivamente Addie LaRue existe。

This book definitely took me longer than expected to finish。 I was really surprised because after reading all of the reviews I definitely thought this would be a 5 star read for me。 Don’t get me wrong, I still ended up really enjoying this story however some parts really dragged on for me。 I felt like it was difficult to connect to Addies life prior to meeting Luc and I didn’t enjoy the backstory all that much。 I found it really picked up when she met Henry but even so it was a struggle at some This book definitely took me longer than expected to finish。 I was really surprised because after reading all of the reviews I definitely thought this would be a 5 star read for me。 Don’t get me wrong, I still ended up really enjoying this story however some parts really dragged on for me。 I felt like it was difficult to connect to Addies life prior to meeting Luc and I didn’t enjoy the backstory all that much。 I found it really picked up when she met Henry but even so it was a struggle at some moments。 It could very easily be due to a reading slump I had this month too though! A solid 4 stars is what I decided and am sticking to。 。。。more

You should read this。 Life is not about the steps someone has taken or the places they have been, it is about the footprints they leave behind。

I’m a slut for beautiful and poetic writing, and this book is the friend with benefits I’ve been looking for to finally make me commit。 Such a meaningful story that totally changed my perspective on life and love and what a legacy means。 Totally cried at the end and was so sad, but the last chapter is like the most perfect last chapter I could’ve asked for。 Addie is a bad b*tch, period。 Love love love。 A bit of a heavy read, so not sure if I’ll reread for a while, but amazing nonetheless。

A unique story with interesting characters。 probably won’t read again。 took me a long time to get through。 The time changes were hard to follow on audiobook。 The authors tone was enchanting and poetic which I enjoyed but made for a slower pace。 there was a lack of conflict for me in the second half。 when the ultimate conflict is introduced it seems obvious what the solution is。 the ending is tied up nicely which i liked。

Wow。。。。just wow。 I’m really quite speechless。 This book。。。。I never wanted it to end。 It was beautiful and happy and sad and gut wrenching。 Addie and Henry, the attachment to these characters is not matched in many books。 Highly highly recommend!

I’ve read most of V。E。 Schwab’s books and the writing here held the barest whispers of her usual style- which really worked in the book’s favour。 It envelops you in the subtlest, yet most secure of ways; until you can’t think of anything, feel anything, but the invisible life of Addie LaRue。 She weaves a story so compelling and consuming that it’s increasingly impossible to extricate yourself from it。 One of the rare books whose endings actually managed to surprised me and found me frozen in the I’ve read most of V。E。 Schwab’s books and the writing here held the barest whispers of her usual style- which really worked in the book’s favour。 It envelops you in the subtlest, yet most secure of ways; until you can’t think of anything, feel anything, but the invisible life of Addie LaRue。 She weaves a story so compelling and consuming that it’s increasingly impossible to extricate yourself from it。 One of the rare books whose endings actually managed to surprised me and found me frozen in the most uncomfortable of positions as I rushed to devour the last few chapters。 。。。more

*3。5/3。75 ⭐️ oh the writing is gorgeous。 absolutely beautiful and sophisticated and really touching。 the book felt like a journal, as if i was reading addie’s story, and of course that’s how v。e schwab intended it to be, so that’s a job well done。 the only reason this isn’t getting a higher rating is that i was left somewhat underwhelmed。 i wasn’t fully invested into this as there was no climax as such, but i mean i don’t think there was meant to be。 the beautiful writing made this a profound re *3。5/3。75 ⭐️ oh the writing is gorgeous。 absolutely beautiful and sophisticated and really touching。 the book felt like a journal, as if i was reading addie’s story, and of course that’s how v。e schwab intended it to be, so that’s a job well done。 the only reason this isn’t getting a higher rating is that i was left somewhat underwhelmed。 i wasn’t fully invested into this as there was no climax as such, but i mean i don’t think there was meant to be。 the beautiful writing made this a profound read, but not one that was addictive。i’ll be waiting to read the next ve schwab book when it comes out! 。。。more

I really liked the premise of this book and loved the world that was created for it。 It did end up getting a bit long in the middle and although I liked how it ended and am glad that I finished it, I just don't feel that the ending made up the for the detachment I felt from the characters。 There really was not any character that I was rooting for。 Maybe that was a some of the point of the book, but it made it hard to keep reading through some of the less interesting parts of the book。 I really liked the premise of this book and loved the world that was created for it。 It did end up getting a bit long in the middle and although I liked how it ended and am glad that I finished it, I just don't feel that the ending made up the for the detachment I felt from the characters。 There really was not any character that I was rooting for。 Maybe that was a some of the point of the book, but it made it hard to keep reading through some of the less interesting parts of the book。 。。。more

So it took me longer to finish this book than I would have liked。 This is largely due to the fact that I borrowed this book from the library。 It is in such high demand that I was not able to renew it。 So, being a responsible library patron, I returned the book to avoid a late fee。3 months later, it's finally my turn again to check it out。 I had to keep it past the due date but paying the late fee was worth it to be able to finally finish it。This book is an adventure。 4 out of 5 stars because, wh So it took me longer to finish this book than I would have liked。 This is largely due to the fact that I borrowed this book from the library。 It is in such high demand that I was not able to renew it。 So, being a responsible library patron, I returned the book to avoid a late fee。3 months later, it's finally my turn again to check it out。 I had to keep it past the due date but paying the late fee was worth it to be able to finally finish it。This book is an adventure。 4 out of 5 stars because, while I thoroughly enjoyed being along for the journey, the book was not life changing。 Do recommend though。 。。。more

This book has one of the coolest concept I've ever read and it was served so so so well。 I gasped, I cried, I cursed into the air, jumped on my bed multiple times, even stared at my wall in shock。 It was packed with a whole lot of incredibleeee unexpectancy。 It certainly lived up to all the hype it was given。However, I do think this book could have been shorter。 There's a lot of moments that made me pause due to languor and boredom。 A lot of pages that simply could've been taken out。 But who am This book has one of the coolest concept I've ever read and it was served so so so well。 I gasped, I cried, I cursed into the air, jumped on my bed multiple times, even stared at my wall in shock。 It was packed with a whole lot of incredibleeee unexpectancy。 It certainly lived up to all the hype it was given。However, I do think this book could have been shorter。 There's a lot of moments that made me pause due to languor and boredom。 A lot of pages that simply could've been taken out。 But who am I to determine that? Schwab created something really remarkable, regardless, and wrote it so beautifully。 Unfortunately, I also think that Addie and Henry lacked something。 Their character had a long, heavy story weighing on their shoulders, but their overall character should have had more to them personality wise, some hobbies, all in all a distinctness。 I felt that they were too like, hence the situation they both found themselves in。 But wow, Luc is one sexy m*therf*cker。 But he is also evil。 But also sexy enough to look past that。 I think。And dooooon't worry Ms。 LaRue, I'll remember you。 。。。more

The beginning was so slow。 Ugh, but the end was not bad。 I don’t love it but I did not hate it。

i loved this book so much i was extremely sad to finish it。 Addie and Henry are the definition of a comfort ship。 The setting was gorgeous。 The book had a beautiful plot and it was really easy to imagine。 The characters were so relatable and if I could rate this book an ♾ then i would。 Definitely my new favorite standalone book。

I must say, this book deserves all the hype it's gotten。 I love how Schwab effortlessly weaved in history, art, and the meaning of life all in one to create a deep and meaningful story。 I personally loved the way there were pages where a specific art piece was incorporated and how that dominated the discussion in the upcoming chapters。 I fell in love with each and every character, including Luc。 The themes of loneliness, what it means to be human, and love were perfectly connected and the ending I must say, this book deserves all the hype it's gotten。 I love how Schwab effortlessly weaved in history, art, and the meaning of life all in one to create a deep and meaningful story。 I personally loved the way there were pages where a specific art piece was incorporated and how that dominated the discussion in the upcoming chapters。 I fell in love with each and every character, including Luc。 The themes of loneliness, what it means to be human, and love were perfectly connected and the ending chapters really pulled at my heartstrings。 I specifically loved Henry's character due to his struggle and how real and human it is。 I feel his story may resonate with many, including myself。 Also, THE ENDINGGGGG。 I do not want to spoil anything, but let's just say it was a fitting ending for Addie, and even made me smile and cry all at once。 In some parts, the story can be considered slow, but I don't mind that much, although I know some people may find it boring and not worth finishing。 I feel the "slowness" of some parts adds to the long duration of Addie Larue's life and drives the point home of Addie's weariness and three hundred years of living。 V。E。 Schwab, thank you for writing one of my new favorite books, I will forever cherish it in my heart。 。。。more

Slow, but romantic。 Ironically forgettable, but nice。

This book had me constantly weighing what is important in life— especially human connection and security。 How can Addie LaRue live without these for hundreds of years? By pure grit, inventiveness, and - an irrepressible curiosity of life。 It’s one of those stories that invade your thoughts while not reading, and stays with you long after you’ve finished。
