I have a 9yo autistic son and reading isn’t his strength。 I have purchased numerous books to spark his interest。 Not only did he LOVE them he even talked to me for over an hour telling me all about the characters and every time he got to a funny part he would dash out of his room and share it with me。 This is such a cute mystery series appropriate for middle grade that has tons of funny characters that hooks any child’s imagination。 Plus the comics were impeccably drawn out。 This series made a m I have a 9yo autistic son and reading isn’t his strength。 I have purchased numerous books to spark his interest。 Not only did he LOVE them he even talked to me for over an hour telling me all about the characters and every time he got to a funny part he would dash out of his room and share it with me。 This is such a cute mystery series appropriate for middle grade that has tons of funny characters that hooks any child’s imagination。 Plus the comics were impeccably drawn out。 This series made a mom cry tears of joy because I finally found books my son enjoys! Author Q&AQ。 Will there be a fourth book? If so, what can we expect next from the Investigators?A。 There will! It’s called “Ants in Our P。A。N。T。S。”, and in it the InvestiGators face some new and old foes as they try on a new crime-solving technique called P。A。N。T。S。 It will be their biggest adventure yet! 。。。more

3。8 stars。 A cute graphic novel—perfect for fans of Dog Man, but also not too “boy-ish” to not be good for girls who like solving crimes too!

Good for 6, or 10, or adult。 A lot of depth, a lot to enjoy, plenty to entertain in later rereads。 Some things you wont get the first time so you find it on the next go。 A very clever book that promises a great future series。 I highly recommend this book, it's fun and has many story lines。 Already bought the second one。 Good for 6, or 10, or adult。 A lot of depth, a lot to enjoy, plenty to entertain in later rereads。 Some things you wont get the first time so you find it on the next go。 A very clever book that promises a great future series。 I highly recommend this book, it's fun and has many story lines。 Already bought the second one。 。。。more

This author has a great sense of humor for children's books。 I laughed out loud at least a few times as the book progressed。 My 9 yr old had read it, enjoyed it, and then asked if we could read it together so that was fun。 This author has a great sense of humor for children's books。 I laughed out loud at least a few times as the book progressed。 My 9 yr old had read it, enjoyed it, and then asked if we could read it together so that was fun。 。。。more

I enjoyed this book almost as much as my kids。 There were lots of subtle and not-so-subtle jokes, a Star Wars reference and lots of fun to be had。 Glad I got my boy an autographed copy at B&N。 Excited to see more from this series。

I won a copy of this book from goodreads。 No pressure for a review。 Gators, food, toilets, and bad guys! What more could a kid want? This is a book that kids will want to read。 Next stop, to my grandkids。 Thank you。 UPDATE: I gave this book to one of my grandsons today。 He immediately started reading it and telling me about it。 He isn't totally into reading books right now, but he loved Investigators。 Exactly what I wanted。 I won a copy of this book from goodreads。 No pressure for a review。 Gators, food, toilets, and bad guys! I can see why this is so popular。 It's the same kind of slapstick comic book humor as Captain Underpants and Dog Man。 But that's just not my cup of tea。 I can see why this is so popular。 It's the same kind of slapstick comic book humor as Captain Underpants and Dog Man。 But that's just not my cup of tea。 。。。more

I cackled through this entire book。 A book filled with puns is a book for me。 This is a modern day Captain Underpants just JAM PACKED with food jokes。 It features 2 Alligator Detectives, Mango and Brash, who are just a delight。 Everyone in this world is a bit dim, but in the best way possible。 The story jumps around A LOT and can be a bit confusing at moments, but honestly the plot isn’t the most important part here, and it resolves nicely at the end。 Will definitely read more in this series。 Pe I cackled through this entire book。 A book filled with puns is a book for me。 This is a modern day Captain Underpants just JAM PACKED with food jokes。 It features 2 Alligator Detectives, Mango and Brash, who are just a delight。 Everyone in this world is a bit dim, but in the best way possible。 The story jumps around A LOT and can be a bit confusing at moments, but honestly the plot isn’t the most important part here, and it resolves nicely at the end。 Will definitely read more in this series。 Perfect for anyone needing graphic novels for 8-12 year olds。 。。。more

What a fun book that is sure to be a hit in my classroom! Do I even dare to say that I liked it more than (whispers。。。。 Dogman)。 Really puny, some sewer humor, two great characters and a mystery to solve。 This was pure fun。 #LitReviewCrew

This is Saturday night live for Kids。 Silly and inventive fast-paced fun, dumb but clever humor。Our “InvestiGators” are two alligators who work for an organization that sets out to right the wrongs of the world。 They have V。E。S。T。s (Very Exciting Spy Technology) and S。U。I。T。s (Special Undercover Investigator Teams)。 Their mission takes them to a famous bakery, The Batter Down not to be confused with The Batter Up, where the renowned and famous baker has gone missing along with his secret recipes This is Saturday night live for Kids。 Silly and inventive fast-paced fun, dumb but clever humor。Our “InvestiGators” are two alligators who work for an organization that sets out to right the wrongs of the world。 They have V。E。S。T。s (Very Exciting Spy Technology) and S。U。I。T。s (Special Undercover Investigator Teams)。 Their mission takes them to a famous bakery, The Batter Down not to be confused with The Batter Up, where the renowned and famous baker has gone missing along with his secret recipes。 Then there’s an explosion at the Science Factory—where a giant cake has just been delivered。 Makes you wonder how good these InvestiGators really are。 They remind me of The Three Stooges。 Readers are going to enjoy the abundance of puns, obvious jokes and toilet humor (literally as they travel the city by flushing themselves through toilets)。 There are multiple mysteries to be solved and there is resolution, come the end。 The first is our cracked… I mean crack, Investigators, Mango and Brash must find a missing chef。 The other is who stole the scientists Thingamabob? Are they connected? Who is the person ordering a cake large enough to hide a dinosaur in (and wears a raincoat on a sunny day)?Aimed at ages 7 to 10, a younger reader will find the book funny even if they don’t get the jokes。 But for now, I’m going to flip back through the book and smile/laugh at the humor all over again。There is even a cartoon drawing lesson at the end if you are so inclined。 。。。more

Middle grade graphic novel-- humor。 Brash and Mango are two InvestiGators who have been summoned to investigate the disappearance of Chef Mustachio。 While they are casing the bakery, they notice one of the ovens missing。 A strange customer comes in, with their body completely obscured by a yellow raincoat, and orders a giant birthday cake。 Meanwhile there is a sort of scientist convention going on, and the scientists have had to evacuate the building (code sunburn!)。 Right after the evacuation, Middle grade graphic novel-- humor。 Brash and Mango are two InvestiGators who have been summoned to investigate the disappearance of Chef Mustachio。 While they are casing the bakery, they notice one of the ovens missing。 A strange customer comes in, with their body completely obscured by a yellow raincoat, and orders a giant birthday cake。 Meanwhile there is a sort of scientist convention going on, and the scientists have had to evacuate the building (code sunburn!)。 Right after the evacuation, an explosion shakes the science factory。 The InvestiGators now have multiple mysteries to solve, or maybe it is one big one all tied together。 The world in this story is interesting, with the people and buildings being mostly realistic but the talking alligator detectives being seen as perfectly normal。 The story is silly, with sewers being used to transport the agents (followed by a thorough cleaning), lots of wordplay, and magical vests that sprout just the right tool at the right time。 The ending is a clear lead-in to volume 2, and I look forward to reading more of this series。 I laughed out loud and snickered, and am happy to have another book to recommend for those readers who love funny books。 。。。more

Two investiGATORS are called in to find the missing Chef Gustavo while simultaneously the Science Factory prepares to unveil their latest invention。 The investiGATORS soon find themselves wrapped up in the theft of this new technology while the case of the missing chef becomes more personal than they could have known。 If you love puns and goofy humor, you will enjoy this。 I especially loved the side story of the heli-doctor。

John Patrick Green has earned himself a new loyal and young fan! My 5 year old could not get enough of the Gators。 It was hard to stop after every few chapters, what with the begging and pleading to continue。 Our night time story routine got a whole lot more exciting with the investiGators I would recommend this book for a child a bit older。 My nephew, recently 9 had a great time reading it, though, some of the jokes still passed by him。 A great and fun work we would recommend to adults and kids John Patrick Green has earned himself a new loyal and young fan!
