This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Despite the numerous 5 star ratings, I did not enjoy this book。 The protagonist is uninteresting and weak and makes so many questionable decisions。 If you think you might be living with a woman who killed her children, and that woman’s husband (who doesn’t know about the evil of his wife), what would you do? Take a few Xanax, vomit, decide not to bring it up with him, decide not to get the hell out of the house。 Oh, and spend a few days between reading each chapter because you need a breather。 A Despite the numerous 5 star ratings, I did not enjoy this book。 The protagonist is uninteresting and weak and makes so many questionable decisions。 If you think you might be living with a woman who killed her children, and that woman’s husband (who doesn’t know about the evil of his wife), what would you do? I read it because my daughter had read it。 It was a disturbing book to read。 Wasn’t terrible because you did want to get through it to see what happened。 The ending w wasn’t great l

An important part of any book for me is that the main character be relatable in any sense。 Whether they have shared traits, experiences, or responses, I need to root for this character's success in order to enjoy reading about their journey。 That was this book's fatal flaw for me-- the main character was not one that I supported。 She was judgemental, annoying, trauma dumping, comparative, insecure-- without any seemingly redeeming qualities。 I wish that she was developed in a more complex way be An important part of any book for me is that the main character be relatable in any sense。 Whether they have shared traits, experiences, or responses, I need to root for this character's success in order to enjoy reading about their journey。 That was this book's fatal flaw for me-- the main character was not one that I supported。 She was judgemental, annoying, trauma dumping, comparative, insecure-- without any seemingly redeeming qualities。 I wish that she was developed in a more complex way besides just being an insecure author with a crush。 I also don't love Colleen Hoover's propensity for cringey statements and insane coincidences-- I know I am reading a romance novel, but I don't want to feel like I am in an alternate universe where this could literally never happen。 I am not reading a fantasy novel。 However, there were some creative twists and the overall writing was clear and engaging, and it is this writing style and these few details that save the book。 。。。more

I thought that this book was weird, in a good way。 I loved the suspense that this book held, but it actually freaked me out a few times。 I had to stop reading it before bedtime, just so I could fall asleep。 I liked how descriptive each character was。 Verity was such a twisted character, and the ending really made me question whether or not the events in the story really happened。 I found the first chapter of the story very ominous and creepy, which made me wonder if I should continue reading。 Ov I thought that this book was weird, in a good way。 I loved the suspense that this book held, but it actually freaked me out a few times。 I had to stop reading it before bedtime, just so I could fall asleep。 I liked how descriptive each character was。 Verity was such a twisted character, and the ending really made me question whether or not the events in the story really happened。 I found the first chapter of the story very ominous and creepy, which made me wonder if I should continue reading。 Overall, this was a good book, which left me wondering what happens next。 However, it was very sci-fi and thriller-ey for my taste。 I didn't care for the relationship between Jeremy and Lowen。 I rate this book a 3/5 stars。 。。。more

I decided to read this book because everyone raved about it on Instagram。 I’m very glad I read it because it was creepy and the ending was a good twist! I’m officially obsessed with Colleen Hoover。The book is about a woman named Lowen who writes thrillers。 She’s been approached by an agent who then asks her to co-write the rest of an unfinished series written originally by Verity Crawford。 As Lowen sorts through Verity’s notes she comes across a manuscript for Verity’s autobiography。 Page after I decided to read this book because everyone raved about it on Instagram。 I’m very glad I read it because it was creepy and the ending was a good twist! It was a good book, I well and truly preferred it to the ends with us/starts with us series。 I liked it, right up to the epilogue。 It kinda ruined it a bit (a lot) for me。

3。5 I couldn’t put this down but I hated every single character。 Was the point to hate every single character?

If this is supposed to be her best book, I don’t even want to touch the rest。 I was literally dragging my feet to finish this。 The author wants her big reveals to be more impactful than they are。 She’s trying to build up all this suspense and then the payoff is a wet fart。 None of the characters have much substance, I feel no attachment to them。 They’re like cardboard cutouts of characters from suspense novels。 The stakes feel so, so low。 This book is like Fisher Price “My First Thriller。”

This book is amazing。 It’s suspenseful, well written, the love story is amazing, and the ending is perfect。 I 100% recommend this book。

Only OkayI burned through this one in a weekend。 This was my first CoHo read, and it was only on the recommendation of two close friends。 I’ll start with the good。 The plot moves and keeps you engaged。 I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened。 However for a thriller it didn’t necessarily keep me on the edge of my seat。 I didn’t feel like I was hanging on every word, it was more a mild curiosity over where the book was going。 Everything else that contributed to the story was a miss f Only OkayI burned through this one in a weekend。 This was my first CoHo read, and it was only on the recommendation of two close friends。 I’ll start with the good。 The plot moves and keeps you engaged。 I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened。 However for a thriller it didn’t necessarily keep me on the edge of my seat。 I didn’t feel like I was hanging on every word, it was more a mild curiosity over where the book was going。 Everything else that contributed to the story was a miss for me though。 The characters were flat, and for a majority of the book I found Lowen to be incredibly dull and irritating。 I can tell there was an effort at building the atmosphere, but it was juvenile at best。 Everything was said instead of shown。 Most of the tone was set by Lowen saying how much the house and the situation creeped her out instead of conveying the unsettling atmosphere to the reader。 Overall the writing style was simple and banal and did the bare minimum to move the story along。 This isn’t my usual genre so I can’t speak as much to the quality of the story。 That being said, the last line being the ultimate question the reader was led to cheapened every attempt at good storytelling。 。。。more

It was such a good read。 The suspense, plot, writing style, everything was great! I was so immersed in this book I felt as though I was the one being watched。 I was hooked from the very beginning up until the very end。 The open ending also leaves you wondering, was the manuscript the truth or was it the letter? I am sorry, as an AI language model, I am unable to provide a personal opinion or review about a specific book。 However, 'Verity。 Coraz większy mrok' is a Polish translated version of the book 'Verity' by Colleen Hoover。 It is a psychological thriller novel that follows the story of a struggling writer who is hired to finish the book series of a famous author who had an accident and is now in a coma。 As she reads through the notes and manuscript of the unfinished book, she begins to uncover dark and twisted secrets that could change everything。
