"Itachi's Story - Daylight" by Masashi Kishimoto and Takashi YanoManga + Novel I had decided that I would not dive into fiction novels and stuff until I completed Game of thrones Books 1 to 5（ Still stuck on book 5 part 1）。But during our anniversary my wife asked what do you want ？I was like get me a few books and there in that list was this Manga Novel which I had seen and wanted to read。Anime is so mainstream now， I am just amazed by it。 Best time to be an anime fan。 Knowing about the "in" thi "Itachi's Story - Daylight" by Masashi Kishimoto and Takashi YanoManga + Novel I had decided that I would not dive into fiction novels and stuff until I completed Game of thrones Books 1 to 5（ Still stuck on book 5 part 1）。But during our anniversary my wife asked what do you want ？I was like get me a few books and there in that list was this Manga Novel which I had seen and wanted to read。Anime is so mainstream now， I am just amazed by it。 Best time to be an anime fan。 Knowing about the "in" thing is the trend so "Naruto" is a legit mainstream thing among teenage guys and girls also。Back in the day it was different， we would torrent out the episode and desperately look for people to discuss our favourite shows and episodes from anime。 After DBZ， I binged Naruto in my Engineering and made many friends join our cult later on。Coming back to the Novel， it's a spin off from "Naruto" the main series。 This novel has some stories starting from childhood of Itachi Uchiha to this teens when he got inducted into the Anbu cops。 Lots of series and details which are not there in the anime。 I love the Uchiha clan so had to read this。Can't really go into details as it spoils into the main show and it's an interesting take by the makers to show ， why Itachi did， what triggers him and how difficult his childhood was。Beautifully written。 。。。more

Normally don’t write reviews for books like this however this one was really good and very emotional。 It pieces together the missing information the anime leaves out regarding his story and why what happened had to happened and what lead up to it from when he was a small child。 Can’t wait to read the second one。

3。5/5。 Itachi is my favorite so I enjoyed it being all about him。 There was a lot of time spent setting up events and character motivations， so it took a while to get through。 The few action sequences were great。 I’m expecting a darker turn in book 2。

All Itachi ever wanted was to rid the world of violence， from an exceptionally young age。 Danzo didn't promote this idea but rather the opposite。 Fugaku and Shisui are unaware of future consequences and supportive as well as a great example respectively。 The third ninja war is explained in very little detail considering that this is a full fledged novel relating the events of Naruto。 The manga did that better imo Sasuke too isn't spoken much about and Itachi hasn't yet destroyed the entire clan All Itachi ever wanted was to rid the world of violence， from an exceptionally young age。 Danzo didn't promote this idea but rather the opposite。 Fugaku and Shisui are unaware of future consequences and supportive as well as a great example respectively。 The third ninja war is explained in very little detail considering that this is a full fledged novel relating the events of Naruto。 The manga did that better imo Sasuke too isn't spoken much about and Itachi hasn't yet destroyed the entire clan but him joining the Anbu and the build up to Mukai's assassination I suppose。 This is just a guess of mine as I have yet to read this one's sequel， midnight。 Mukai is a pretty cool character tbh considering he has similar skills to Neji and is almost as talented as Itachi。 Needless to say， it was Danzo who showed Itachi the dark side of the ninja world， or at least， had the most influence。We got more background information to how Sasuke came to be as well as developed the relationship between Itachi and Shisui as solely through the manga we don't really understand the relevance of their bond。 Shisui showed Itachi why his dream mattered。 There are some spelling errors here and there and the writing style doesn't exactly flow but it's nevertheless a fun rendition of the life of one of my favourite Naruto characters。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 This book is the first in a two-part series dealing with the childhood of a side character in the manga series "Naruto"。 From a very young age， Itachi's father brings him to the battlefield in the midst of a great war。 at the same time， staring at the endless amount of dead bodies， and seeing people fight against each other over what village they belong to scared Itachi。 From this day on Itachi tells himself he will strive to end all wars and meaningless fighting by becoming the strongest ninja This book is the first in a two-part series dealing with the childhood of a side character in the manga series "Naruto"。 From a very young age， Itachi's father brings him to the battlefield in the midst of a great war。 at the same time， staring at the endless amount of dead bodies， and seeing people fight against each other over what village they belong to scared Itachi。 From this day on Itachi tells himself he will strive to end all wars and meaningless fighting by becoming the strongest ninja。 Then when everything is going great even now having a new baby brother The Nine Tales a demon fox rampages the village and kills many people。 This wasn't only bad for Itachi because of the damage it had caused but the majority of the people in the village thought the clan Itachi belonged to controlled and caused the attack causing the clan to be further discriminated against。 But Itachi's will is still strong and he trains day in and day out breezing through the academy in record timing graduating at age eight， then he takes the exams to move to the next ninja rank which is normally a three-person team task but Itachi does it alone。 Itachi quickly goes through the ranks and eventually is given a mission to kill a high-ranking leaf ninja due to him giving lots of crucial information to other villages， this is where the book ends。 A passage in the book that I really like takes place during the nine tales attack when it first starts。 Itachi's clan （the Uchihas） known for the visual ability to be able to manipulate the mind of living things rush to go help aid and suppress the ravaging nine tales because this is what they were proficient in。 but as they do that the village leaders order them to not get near the Nine Tales but rather help evacuate people。 "Going near the Nine tales meant risking death。 Some of the ninja hurrying to the scene had likely been sacrificed。 It was no small wonder Yashiro was scared。"I have never once begrudged my life to do my job。" "Cheif。。。" Tears blurred Yashiro's thin eyes。 " The only thing that can control the Nine Tales is the sharingan of the Uchiha clan， If we don't hurry to stop it will be impossible。" "Chief！" His aide Tekka appeared， panting as though he had run up the stairs。 From the ghostly mien of his capable subordinate， Fugaku guessed that something alarming had happened。 "what is it？" "Instructions have come down from top brass。 The Police are instructed to strengthen the village defenses。" （Page 26， Kishimoto） Here the leaf police （which was controlled by the Uchihas） instead of putting their visual power to good use in suppressing the Nine Tales the Uchiha were instructed to not go near the demon because of suspicion they caused the attack。 I love this because this really shows one of the main points of the book， the discrimination of the Uchiha clan。 For this novel in particular anyone who likes fiction and books about ninjas would enjoy this。 This book really presents itself as a teen novel but really has a very deep and real story that develops so wonderfully。 Also， the character development is so detailed and if there is any want to read more this book is only detailing one side character apart of a huge collection of characters from the 72-book manga set of the original naruto series。 If anyone is interested in fantasy/ fiction of ninjas and especially the show/manga naruto then this book is the perfect buy and will keep you engaged and wanting more the entire time。 。。。more

10/10 book！ I can see why my brother and so many Naruto fans adore Itachi。 He is such a complex character with dreams that any idealists would agree with， sadly his talents make him target of being used by those that rule the society he lives in。 One crazy thing is that I got so enthralled by his passions that I forget that he is just a child in this novel。 The only negative is that I felt like this book ended too soon， but having already started reading Vol 2: Midnight， the second book immediat 10/10 book！ I can see why my brother and so many Naruto fans adore Itachi。 He is such a complex character with dreams that any idealists would agree with， sadly his talents make him target of being used by those that rule the society he lives in。 One crazy thing is that I got so enthralled by his passions that I forget that he is just a child in this novel。 The only negative is that I felt like this book ended too soon， but having already started reading Vol 2: Midnight， the second book immediately picks up from the end of this book。 Knowing what happens to Itachi from the anime series， I'm already anticipating myself for heartbreak， we already see at the end of this book that darkness is already infecting his heart。 。。。more
