Well， Elle Kennedy never fails to get me out of my reading slump！ I started Rogue last night， read loads this morning， read some on my lunch break， finished it now！ AHHH！ I need the third book 🤩 I’m obsessed with Casey， and I love her and Finn。 Begging that the next book is about Lawson 😍 Ugh couldn’t recommend this more！

Elle Kennedy has truly reached a new level with this series ！！ Don’t get me wrong， the off campus and briar u series already made me loyal to her but there’s some different sort of addicted quality in the Prep series that the hockey books were just missing before。 I was honestly on the edge of my seat trying to untangle the mystery of this plot in tandem with the characters。 The suspense of not knowing who did it or what the next plot twist would be created so much tension between the characters Elle Kennedy has truly reached a new level with this series ！！ Don’t get me wrong， the off campus and briar u series already made me loyal to her but there’s some different sort of addicted quality in the Prep series that the hockey books were just missing before。 I was honestly on the edge of my seat trying to untangle the mystery of this plot in tandem with the characters。 The suspense of not knowing who did it or what the next plot twist would be created so much tension between the characters that has me in a literal chokehold。 When paired with the top tier relationship dynamics （that elle kennedy has always been incredible at creating， in my opinion）， this book is literally the perfect recipe for creating a binge-worthy story。 And once again ，，，， THE CLIFFHANGER ！！ Ugh what drama is **** going to create in the next book （censored for spoilers） ？？？ When will lawson finally be out of his self destructive era ？？？ I MUST know immediately 。。。more

2。5 STARS I blink back the moisture coating my lashes。 “Why’d it have to be you？” His answer is a kiss。 I have sat on my review for days， completely torn in how to rate this。 As much as I loved Misfit， it pains me to admit that I struggled immensely with the second installment。 First， if you're planning to read this as a standalone， stop right there。 While each book is a new couple， the story arc continues throughout the series， as well as some character arcs。 Rogue was similar to Misf 2。5 STARS I blink back the moisture coating my lashes。 “Why’d it have to be you？” His answer is a kiss。 I have sat on my review for days， completely torn in how to rate this。 As much as I loved Misfit， it pains me to admit that I struggled immensely with the second installment。 First， if you're planning to read this as a standalone， stop right there。 While each book is a new couple， the story arc continues throughout the series， as well as some character arcs。 Rogue was similar to Misfit in which you get primarily the main characters POV in addition to some secondary characters。Now as for my rating， this was tough。 While I liked the drama and enjoyed the mystery of Casey's accident unfold， the romance was completely lackluster。 Honestly， I'd go so far as to say I didn't really feel this was a romance at all。 While I rooted for Casey and Fenn in book one， the second half of this book had me feeling no sort of way about them at all。The jaw dropping ending of Misfit revealed a small snippet into Casey's accident， and the entirety of this book is focused on the fall out and the further revelations。 We also see Casey take a total personality change。 She goes from quiet， demure， and timidly non confrontational to a total ball buster。 I didn't hate it， and loved seeing her finally stand up for herself。 But it was also so sudden and such a 180， it was hard to buy it at times too。RJ and Sloane took a turn too。 There was a certain thing that Sloane convinces RJ to do that had me seriously judging him and how much he chess to his girlfriend's dramatic flare。 As for Sloane， I absolutely LOATHED her in this book。 She became intolerable and I really hope we get some redeeming features for her in the next book。As for Casey and Fenn？ I was so disappointed with the romance of this book， I'm still mad。 There was a particular event， which I won't spoil， but it seriously ruined any semblance of romance between them。 I understand that Casey was mad， but the decision that she made was just。。。UGH。 I hated it。 This was even more disappointing by the fact I felt more chemistry with Lawson and Casey than with Fenn。 I didn't understand why this had to happen。 It felt unnecessary and outside of additional fallout， didn't do much in driving the plot forward。 It could have been the same effect had the decision not been as extreme as it was。Sadly， this book took me 7 days to finish and when I was marinating on my rating， I understood there was more things I disliked than enjoyed。 So while the story kept me entertained， the characters frustrated me to no end and the romance was almost non existent。 I'm really hoping books three turns things around for me because I'm still super invested in this series。ARC courtesy of publisher in exchange for an honest reviewFind me on: 。。。more

I love the drama in this series。 Ready for the CW show， honestly。 Liked this one was more Casey centered and trying to figure out what happened at prom。 Felt bad for Fenn most of the book but dang， Lawson got me at the end a bit with his feelings。 Silas is a loose cannon…wonder how that plays out later。 And， I can’t imagine Gabe isn’t gonna start some stuff。

Wonderful 2nd book in the Prep School series。 It picks up right where the first book ends and perfectly continues the story。 This book had a lot less spice than the first one， a lot more mystery and the same perfect amount of drama。 The mystery of Casey’s accident is solved in this book and it took a twist I wasn’t expecting。 If you enjoyed the first book you should definitely read this one。

This book did answer a few questions that left me wondering from the last， namely the whole Gabe situation。 With that being said， he is clearly set up to be the villain of the next book。 RJ and Sloane are a couple that is hard fir me the wrap my head around。 I like them in Misfit， but found them pretty annoying and toxic in this book。 The way Sloane especially treats her relationship as a tool rather than being appreciative of RJ and how he will literally do anything for her。 Silas is an ass。 I This book did answer a few questions that left me wondering from the last， namely the whole Gabe situation。 With that being said， he is clearly set up to be the villain of the next book。 RJ and Sloane are a couple that is hard fir me the wrap my head around。 I like them in Misfit， but found them pretty annoying and toxic in this book。 The way Sloane especially treats her relationship as a tool rather than being appreciative of RJ and how he will literally do anything for her。 Silas is an ass。 I do think his friends were a bit harsh， but his reaction to everything was a bit much。 His relationship with Amy ending turned him into a total asshole and made me want to punch him。 Instead of mending fences he constantly burned bridges。 Lawson is totally misunderstood。 His friendship with Casey was really sweet and I hope in the next book he gets hud redemption arc and learns to love himself more and I’m thinking Amy will be involved in that arc。 I think Casey brought that out of him and was his first step in healing。 You can tell that he really does care so much， and he uses the drugs and alcohol to cope。 Casey and Fenn have a very cute relationship that is based in healing。 Do I think it is sustainable？ No， but it is nice for the time being。 Fenn truly loves Casey and wants what is best for her。 Meanwhile， Casey is still trying to find her way in the world as she was held back from doing that after the accident。 I did not appreciate how everyone treated her like she was a porcelain doll even after she told them to stop。 It was nice to see her grow more of a backbone in this book。 This series is a bit chaotic， with Rogue topping Misfit in that scale。 It felt a bit all over the place and didn’t really give me the chance to swoon for Casey and Fenn。 Typically in Elle Kennedy books there is a ton of spice， but this one was lacking in that department。 There were also a ton of POVs。 I was under the impression that this book was mainly focused in Fenn and Casey， yet I knew just as much about everyone else through their povs。 I felt it took away from their story and instead introduced a ton of sub plots。 I understand it was most likely done to set up future books， but I still didn’t love it。 With that being said， the return of Gabe should be very interesting。 。。。more
