Summary

In Talia Hibbert's newest romcom, the flightiest Brown sister crashes into the life of an uptight B&B owner and has him falling hard—literally。

Eve Brown is a certified hot mess。 No matter how hard she strives to do right, her life always goes horribly wrong—so she’s given up trying。 But when her personal brand of chaos ruins a wedding, her parents draw the line。 It's time for Eve to grow up and prove herself—even though she's not entirely sure how…

Jacob Wayne is always in control。 The uptight B&B owner expects nothing less than perfection from his employees, so when a purple-haired tornado of a woman applies for his open chef position, he tells her the brutal truth: not a chance in hell。 Then she hits him with her car—supposedly by accident。

Now his arm is broken, his B&B is understaffed, and the dangerously unpredictable Eve is fluttering around, trying to help。 Before long, she’s infiltrated his work, his kitchen—and his spare bedroom。 Sunny, chaotic Eve is his natural-born nemesis, but the longer these two enemies spend in close quarters, the more their animosity turns into something else entirely。。。

Just might be my favorite of the Brown sister books。 1) eve 2) Chloe 3)dani

My favorite of all three! Eve and Jacob are so chaotic, funny and sweet together。 And the steamy scenes between the two are hot hot hot。 Eve (or “sunshine” as Jacob refers to her) embraces who she is, and is an all around adorable woman, plus size and all。 And I loved the representation that both Eve and Jacob are on the autism spectrum。 I enjoyed seeing Eve’s sisters Dani, Chloe and the entire family pop up。 I loved every bit of it! If you haven’t read this series yet, read it!

Another great installment of "The Brown Sisters" series by Ms Hibbert! Sad that this series is coming to a close :'( Not only has these books been witty, fluffy, and overall extremely enjoyable to read, there's also consistently been so many green flags。 Here are some that specifically appear in this one! 💚 Respectful and realistic representation of mental illness/disability (in this case, autism)💚 Characters understanding and validating each others' experiences of trauma💚 Vulnerability bred fro Another great installment of "The Brown Sisters" series by Ms Hibbert! A beautiful way of writing about personalities on the spectrum and the banter between the two MCs was most entertaining! The best in the series of three books so far。

AHH this was DELIGHTFUL。 I think I liked "Take a Hint" just a TAD more, but I still absolutely adored this。 Eve was such a lovely character - flawed but so strong and so lovely and I loved that Jake called her sunshine - and Jacob was just as imperfect but such a great hero anyway。 Plus his sudden dirty talk? Phew。A great time was had and I definitely recommend, especially if you enjoy "two idiots who are annoyed by each other for Reasons before realizing that Annoyance is really Attraction and AHH this was DELIGHTFUL。 I think I liked "Take a Hint" just a TAD more, but I still absolutely adored this。 Eve was such a lovely character - flawed but so strong and so lovely and I loved that Jake called her sunshine - and Jacob was just as imperfect but such a great hero anyway。 Plus his sudden dirty talk? I loved this!! This whole series is so much fun, and I loved how each followed a different sister’s journey。 Eve Brown is such a great character, and I loved how autism was discussed in this book。 The spicy parts were so so good too!

The cheesiest and loveliest fluff。 It can be read as a standalone and you don't have to read the other books first。 There were points where I laughed so hard and gasped that I drew stares。 Funny and light。 The cheesiest and loveliest fluff。 It can be read as a standalone and you don't have to read the other books first。 There were points where I laughed so hard and gasped that I drew stares。 Funny and light。 。。。more

I love Talia Hibbert。 I read this one slowly because I was just having a great time and didn’t want it to end。 I loved the ~personal growth~ in this book beyond the romance plot, as well as the layered identities。 I also just love Eve Brown in general (definitely my favorite of the three sisters)

Finished The Brown Sisters!Would have finished the series in a day if I had the time!!Amazing writing and I can't help falling in love with all the characters in the books。The writer is so good。 She wrote three sisters with very different personalities but still resemble a little of each other。 What a great job。 These books made me laugh during stressful times。 Thank you so much for writing these。The first book which is on Chloe is still personally my favourite。4 stars, because I am single and t Finished The Brown Sisters!Would have finished the series in a day if I had the time!!Amazing writing and I can't help falling in love with all the characters in the books。The writer is so good。 She wrote three sisters with very different personalities but still resemble a little of each other。 What a great job。 These books made me laugh during stressful times。 Thank you so much for writing these。The first book which is on Chloe is still personally my favourite。4 stars, because I am single and their loves stories are so cute they make me salty。 。。。more

I have followed along with Talia Hibbert’s Brown sisters over the past few years with varying degrees of enjoyment。 Get a Life, Chloe Brown was cute, but not much else for me。。。。。Take a Hint, Dani Brown was funnier than the previous book, and I liked the couple more, but still something was lacking…。。。Then came Act Your Age, Eve Brown which feels like it was written specifically for me。 I stayed up late reading this book。 Way too late。 And I was laughing out loud much too often for the hour that I have followed along with Talia Hibbert’s Brown sisters over the past few years with varying degrees of enjoyment。 Get a Life, Chloe Brown was cute, but not much else for me。。。。。Take a Hint, Dani Brown was funnier than the previous book, and I liked the couple more, but still something was lacking…。。。Then came Act Your Age, Eve Brown which feels like it was written specifically for me。 I stayed up late reading this book。 Way too late。 And I was laughing out loud much too often for the hour that it was but THIS BOOK!!!So Eve, running from her problems and hungry after a long drive, stops at a B&B which happens to have interviews for a chef。 And she took some cooking classes! And is feeling a little reckless and hopeful! But the interview, with Mr。 Serious Pants and Seriously Hot Jacob, goes poorly。 Not as poorly as when Eve HITS HIM WITH HER CAR as she tries to leave, though。Talk about a meet-cute。Eve, due to a little bit of guilt and a big need for a job, sticks around to help Jason as he recovers and what follows is a hilarious and engaging Enemies to Friends to Lovers situation where the chemistry jumps off the page like Hibbert’s humor。 And the emotions, oh boy the emotions。 I was rooting for Jacob and Eve the instant they met (and because I’m a romance reader I knew they were gonna fall in love) but watching them do so was so satisfying。 My compliments to the chef。This is a romance I cannot wait to read again, to be honest。 It’ll be in the top romances of 2021 for me。 。。。more

While others seem to love and announce this as the best book in the Brown sisters series, for me it was a let-down。 Mine obviously is an unpopular opinion since this story has an average rate of 4,4 stars on Goodreads, but hear me out。It is my personal preference to read books about strong characters who never give up and keep getting up whenever someone pushes them down。 While in the previous two books, I get these strong, sassy, little crazy, and brave characters, this was the opposite。 And I While others seem to love and announce this as the best book in the Brown sisters series, for me it was a let-down。 Mine obviously is an unpopular opinion since this story has an average rate of 4,4 stars on Goodreads, but hear me out。It is my personal preference to read books about strong characters who never give up and keep getting up whenever someone pushes them down。 While in the previous two books, I get these strong, sassy, little crazy, and brave characters, this was the opposite。 And I get that this story is about the youngest sister who needs to get her life on track and start acting her age, but it does not change the fact that I do not enjoy reading about spoiled, immature, and irresponsible characters。 I get irritated by people who throw themselves into situations they are not able to handle just because they can't allow themselves to fail。 That drives me bonkers。I also was not a fan of the instalove element as I could not believe their immediate attraction。 All their interactions seemed very similar。 I found it a little repetitive them going back and forth with the same digs。 I could not wait for the ending to come soon enough。Anyhow, it was still a decent read。 I think it was good opposites attract romance with funny banter and cute love interest。 I did enjoy the small-town setting, and I think the story is a great autism representation。 If you enjoyed the first two books in the series, you should give this a try because, as I said, this indeed ended up touching some personal dislikes on my part。 。。。more

This entire series has been a delight from beginning to end and the final story of the youngest Brown sister, Eve, is no different。 I adored Eve in all her messy glory, afraid of failure and seeing things through, unwilling to take a chance on herself。 And I adored Jacob, rigid and controlled, unable to trust that anyone would love him enough to stay。 These were two beautiful, flawed people with a lot of baggage and I really enjoyed seeing them come together, fall for each other, and figure out This entire series has been a delight from beginning to end and the final story of the youngest Brown sister, Eve, is no different。 I adored Eve in all her messy glory, afraid of failure and seeing things through, unwilling to take a chance on herself。 And I adored Jacob, rigid and controlled, unable to trust that anyone would love him enough to stay。 These were two beautiful, flawed people with a lot of baggage and I really enjoyed seeing them come together, fall for each other, and figure out how to share the burden。 I also loved the supporting characters and am so excited that Talia's next series is a spin off of this book and will have characters from the town as the key players。 I can't wait to meet them all and hopefully, get a glimpse of Jacob and Eve every now and again。 。。。more

The circle is complete! Wow these books came out fast。 I read the first two during the height of the pandemic and now here is this one。 Like the previous books, this is amusing while also tackling issues like emotional trauma, trust issues, abandonment issues, etc。 The lead characters both are in the autism spectrum as well。 This book is also spicy and the author is a wizard with words。 I didn't enjoy this one as much, but it was still good。 I think I didn't believe I'm their relationship as muc The circle is complete! The banter between any romance that is enemies to lovers is unmatched!Eve Brown's story was no different。 I thoroughly enjoyed Jacob's grumpiness and Eve's way of dealing with it。 They were each other's own brand of weirdness。I do want to warn everyone that there were more open- door romance scenes in this one than the other two。 Jacob also has much more of a foul mouth than Zafir and Red。 This was such a cute close to the series。 I can't wait to see what Talia Hibbert gifts us next。 The banter between any romance that is enemies to lovers is unmatched!Eve Brown's story was no different。 I thoroughly enjoyed Jacob's grumpiness and Eve's way of dealing with it。 They were each other's own brand of weirdness。I do want to warn everyone that there were more open- door romance scenes in this one than the other two。 Jacob also has much more of a foul mouth than Zafir and Red。 This was such a cute close to the series。 I can't wait to see what Talia Hibbert gifts us next。 。。。more

I read this book for the PopSugar Challenge-Body positivity。 It was like eating a dessert。 A little too sweet for me。 Eve Brown is on the spectrum。 Life can be challenging for her。 She must get out and find a job and a life for herself。 She finds a B&B where her baking and charm help her discover how much she has to offer。

Kayla

Swoon。 I think Jacob is my favorite male main character out of the three (sorry Zaf!) but I just wanted to give him a hug and tell him that he’s loved and wanted!
