Bestselling author Elle Kennedy returns to Avalon Bay in this sexy second chance story about two exes who can't stay away from each other, Bad Girl Reputation

When former bad girl Genevieve West returns home for her mother’s funeral, she’s prepared to keep her distance from her ex-boyfriend, Evan Hartley。 Their history is rife with turbulence。 And passion。 A heck of a lot of passion。。。which she’s trying desperately to forget。

But it’s impossible not to run into Evan in the small coastal town where they once ran wild。 And the moment she sees her gorgeous ex again, it’s clear to Gen that Evan is still as unruly, sexy, and irresistible as ever。 This time around, however, she’s resolved to walk a new path。 No more partying。 No more foolish mistakes。 Her plan is to temporarily remain in town to help her father run his business, but the second he finds somebody else, she’s out of there。

Evan has other ideas。 He knows they can be good together, but he just has to convince Genevieve of that, even if it means turning over a new leaf himself。 But can a bad reputation ever truly be shed? Do second chances really work? Genevieve and Evan are about to find out。

But can a bad boy really change his spots and are second chances a real thing?。。This was one super hot angsty second chance romance if ever I have read one! Talk about keeping the reader on their toes as Gen and Evan figure out their history and try to find a future together!。。I really liked Gen, not only was she super sassy and such a strong character but she made the though choice to better her self even if that meant walking away from everything that she had known。 I really liked that she wanted to be better for herself and that she went out and did this。 Though it was Evan that really stole the show, this really was about him growing up and becoming a man worthy of Gen’s trust and love。 However don’t get me wrong he will rocks his bad boy persona in all the right ways!。。The chemistry between Gen and Evan was like that of a moth to a flame。 These two could not get enough of each other even when they were so toxic together。 But there was just something about them together that really did work and as a grown up couple this really came though in the best way。。。Bad Girl Reputation was a really great angst filled second chance romance that I would recommend reading! 。。。more

3。5/4 stars。 I will start by saying I liked this book more than Good Girl Complex。 I found GGC to glorify toxic relationships way too much, it was sort of a turn off for me。 But I enjoyed it enough to want to read this one when it came out, and without a doubt, I liked it more。 Gen and Evan both have a lot of issues, and are mutually self destructive, but sometimes there's more to the story than meets the eye。 As is the case for both characters。 I didn't love Gen as a whole。 Didn't hate her, jus 3。5/4 stars。 I will start by saying I liked this book more than Good Girl Complex。 I found GGC to glorify toxic relationships way too much, it was sort of a turn off for me。 But I enjoyed it enough to want to read this one when it came out, and without a doubt, I liked it more。 Gen and Evan both have a lot of issues, and are mutually self destructive, but sometimes there's more to the story than meets the eye。 As is the case for both characters。 I didn't love Gen as a whole。 Didn't hate her, just didn't love her。 I feel like Evan was the real star of the story with having more growth and change throughout the pages。 He is a "tough guy" but deep down is one of the good ones。 I feel like Gen went through a lot of her growth when she was away, so we really only saw her struggle to try and keep that change, though she still had plenty of growth as a character。 Overall a decent and quick read。 I think if you were on the fence about Good Girl Complex, you may like this one more。 。。。more

I really can’t decide whether I liked this one or the first book more。 I am definitely a sucker for a second chance romance。

The book was a whole lotta nothing which was SUPER disappointing。 you’re telling me the main girl has five, count ‘em, FIVE brothers and you don’t write a scene with all of them together ganging up on evan or anyone else?? where is the protective older brother shit that i was hoping for? and the reveal to evan as to why gen left was the most anticlimactic thing ever。 like that’s it? there was nothing to it。 there were multiple scenes like that where i was fucking ok elle what the fuck was this?? Really? Anyway。 It takes Evan all of 0。2 seconds to suddenly become a stand up guy, volunteering all round the town, because he doesn't want to lose Gen (she's trying to be a better person)。 There is a villain in this book, and I did NOT like the way he was dealt with。 The end of their story happened from the point-of-view of someone else hearing about it, we didn't read it from the person who was there? It was odd。 Not a fan of this choice。 And they deserved worse 🤷‍♀️。 This is not the best Elle Kennedy book, but it's also not the worst。 Read at your own discretion。 。。。more

I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book。 I’m always torn on #SecondChanceRomances。 I’m a person that loves the journey of falling in love with someone, so I don’t have that chance when we’re constantly going down memory lane。 This story felt like that to me。 I appreciate the work Evan did with becoming a Big Brother, and the commitment to sobriety by Gen。 However, I felt cheated on the journey of self-discovery and rekindling of love。 We kinda just got there after a few memories and con I honestly don’t know how I feel about this book。 I’m always torn on #SecondChanceRomances。 I’m a person that loves the journey of falling in love with someone, so I don’t have that chance when we’re constantly going down memory lane。 This story felt like that to me。 I appreciate the work Evan did with becoming a Big Brother, and the commitment to sobriety by Gen。 However, I felt cheated on the journey of self-discovery and rekindling of love。 We kinda just got there after a few memories and conversations。 I totally enjoyed the first installment, but this one felt very immature and half-baked。 I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book。 All thoughts and opinions are my own。 。。。more

I want to start by saying I liked this story better than the first one because I think we can all agree the first one was basically the plot of "After" by Anna Todd。 I really liked getting to see the characters grow, especially Evan。 I loved that he joined the Big Brother program and became really good friends with his Little Brother Riley。 I think that relationship benefited both parties immensely。 Now onto Gen。 I was not a huge fan of hers and it wasn't until the last few chapters that I actua I want to start by saying I liked this story better than the first one because I think we can all agree the first one was basically the plot of "After" by Anna Todd。 I really liked getting to see the characters grow, especially Evan。 I loved that he joined the Big Brother program and became really good friends with his Little Brother Riley。 I think that relationship benefited both parties immensely。 Now onto Gen。 I was not a huge fan of hers and it wasn't until the last few chapters that I actually started to like her。 She treated Evan so bad when she first came home without really taking into account how he felt when she up and disappeared the year prior。 She definitely had a lot of growing up to do and I think Elle Kennedy did a good job writing that growth。 Did it need to take like 300 pages? No, but at least it eventually happened。 My only real complaint is the background characters。 They are so hard to tell apart because they are all kind of dating each other。 I think it would've been better to just leave them out of the book entirely because I spent way too much time trying to figure out who was with who。 And who was who in general。Thank you NetGalley and St。 Martin's Griffin for an eARC of this book。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。 。。。more

I'm not generally a fan of second chance romances to begin with as I am petty as all heck, so we weren't off to a food start to begin with。 Add in a lead couple who are constantly on and off, their relationship seemingly based on little but physical attraction and a sense that they haven't grown or developed over the entire novel but arbitrarily decided this time they would work and got back together, and I wasn't having the best of times。 I'm not generally a fan of second chance romances to begin with as I am petty as all heck, so we weren't off to a food start to begin with。 Add in a lead couple who are constantly on and off, their relationship seemingly based on little but physical attraction and a sense that they haven't grown or developed over the entire novel but arbitrarily decided this time they would work and got back together, and I wasn't having the best of times。 。。。more

This was a great continuation of the Avalon Bay series, and I loved being able to read Evan's story。 In Good Girl Complex he became one of the characters that I eventually by the end of the story loved。 His story and the brief mention of Gen intrigued me in Good Girl Complex, so being able to see them both within this book was great。 Not only does the past get revealed, but feels stir between them again and old sparks reignite。 This story kept me hooked and invested from the very first page。 Tha This was a great continuation of the Avalon Bay series, and I loved being able to read Evan's story。 In Good Girl Complex he became one of the characters that I eventually by the end of the story loved。 His story and the brief mention of Gen intrigued me in Good Girl Complex, so being able to see them both within this book was great。 Not only does the past get revealed, but feels stir between them again and old sparks reignite。 This story kept me hooked and invested from the very first page。 Thank you NetGalley for an arc of this book。 。。。more
