SO VERY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD。 I LOVE how it describes each character from the others POV and it was addicting to read。 The ending was SUPER good as well。 No complaints。

I loved how this added to the world of Wings of Fire! It brought the world's lore readily available to us, and it adds to the whole experience of reading Wings of Fire。 I loved how this added to the world of Wings of Fire! Yes, I know this is a kids book。 My kids are all homeschooled and it was a popular series among their co-op classmates。 I picked up the first boxed set, hoping my kids would eventually join their friends in reading the books。Then I picked up book one and started reading。。。。。。。eventually seeing there being Legends books and Winglets, I had to find out the order to read them chronologically。Darkstalker is the first book as far as when things take place。 Now I've only ready book 1 of the main serie Yes, I know this is a kids book。 My kids are all homeschooled and it was a popular series among their co-op classmates。 I picked up the first boxed set, hoping my kids would eventually join their friends in reading the books。Then I picked up book one and started reading。。。。。。。eventually seeing there being Legends books and Winglets, I had to find out the order to read them chronologically。Darkstalker is the first book as far as when things take place。 Now I've only ready book 1 of the main series, so I don't know if any of this has any importance later in the series, but considering how it ends perhaps it does。 Like other reviewers commented, this book does start slow, but it is introducing the characters, and all introductions take place slowly。 The neat thing is that each chapter is told from one character's point of view, which pulls the reader in further, and likely improves the experience for the reader。 bBring on Legends 2 and the remainder of the main series。。。。 。。。more

In trying to read all the WOF books, of course I also have to read the spinoffs。 And you know what? I loved this even more than I love the main series。 Things got dark and surprisingly mature here! We got to see Darkstalker's inevitable fall from grace and imprisonment; how and why he disemboweled his own father; why his girlfriend and best friend teamed up to plot against him, how the road to hell is always paved in good intentions。。。 Seriously excellent。 I wish the rest of this series was as g In trying to read all the WOF books, of course I also have to read the spinoffs。 And you know what? This book put into so much perspective on how Clearsights and Darkstalker's live devolps and how their friendship with Fathom grows。 I love how Fathom and Indigo are。 Just the fact of them two。 This book also let me know that Foeslayer, Darkstalker's mother, wasn't as bad as the books(and I) put her out to be。 Actually, she's one of my favorite characters。Anyway, love this book! Oh my gosh I loved this book so much! I couldn’t put it down and read it in like a day and a half lol。 I kinda want a sequel but at the same time I don’t cause i feel like it wouldn’t be as good。 But man was this book amazing! Another great work by Tui Sutherland。

This is definitely my favorite of the three Wings of Fire books I've read so far。 I love the intrigue and deception in this, and I'm excited for the follow up to this story。 This is definitely my favorite of the three Wings of Fire books I've read so far。 I love the intrigue and deception in this, and I'm excited for the follow up to this story。 。。。more

I liked the book because its full of betrayal, loss and a tiny bit of dragonet romcom。 Please let book 15 out!

I read this a few years ago when I went through my huge dragon faze。 It's the first book that ever made me cry。 The series is targeted towards a younger audience but I would still recommend it to anyone and everyone I meet。 I read this a few years ago when I went through my huge dragon faze。 It's the first book that ever made me cry。 The series is targeted towards a younger audience but I would still recommend it to anyone and everyone I meet。 。。。more

I loved this book, this one and book six are definitely my favorites out of the series。 This book has one gory part in it, but Tui does a good job making it readable。 I totally recommend this book for anyone over ten。Fantastic job, Tui! Looking forward to all of your works!!!

Gloriously dark。 That is what I have to say。 This book is gloriously dark。 I certainly enjoyed it, and this is the definition of a well-written corruption arc。 It was heartbreaking to see how happy Darkstalker and Clearsight were, and how Clearsight slowly, slowly lost her faith in him, because he kept thinking only of himself。 Clearsight was also incredibly well-written, and I liked how Sutherland showed that her great power has serious drawbacks。 I also loved Whiteout (did I know that I needed Gloriously dark。 That is what I have to say。 This book is gloriously dark。 I certainly enjoyed it, and this is the definition of a well-written corruption arc。 It was heartbreaking to see how happy Darkstalker and Clearsight were, and how Clearsight slowly, slowly lost her faith in him, because he kept thinking only of himself。 Clearsight was also incredibly well-written, and I liked how Sutherland showed that her great power has serious drawbacks。 I also loved Whiteout (did I know that I needed neurodivergent dragons until now? No, but I'm gonna take it), and Listener was fun。 But what really made this book for me were Fathom and Indigo。 They're one of the best fictional couples ever, and I loved how they both sacrificed everything for one another。 Also Indigo is now one of my three favourite ever WOF characters (yep, she's up there with Qibli and Cricket)。 And how can I not mention Blob, who brought a spot of light and joy into this whole mess。 Altogether, GREAT。 CW: Uhhhhh。。。not for the faint at heart, lets just say 。。。more

This book was a bit of a disappointment。 Overall, I'm pretty ambivalent。 The foresight and Darkstalker's corruption were interesting。 The fact that they were dragons parading as people was kind of distracting。。。。 especially the scavenger part (I guess those were cavemen?)。 Oh well。 It was short so I didn't waste much time。 It wasn't awful。。。。 just not great。 This book was a bit of a disappointment。 Overall, I'm pretty ambivalent。 The foresight and Darkstalker's corruption were interesting。 The fact that they were dragons parading as people was kind of distracting。。。。 especially the scavenger part (I guess those were cavemen?)。 Oh well。 It was short so I didn't waste much time。 It wasn't awful。。。。 just not great。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Is this my favorite Wings of Fire book to date? Yes! Does that mean it has absolutely no problems? Mm… no。My main problem with the concept is that having a character with the ability to do basically ANYTHING (except bring back the dead) is a little OP。 It makes everything else that happens in the story kind of redundant。 If Darkstalker (and animus dragons in other books) only took a Saturday off to think about the possibilities, he’d (or they’d) be literally unstoppable。 Unstoppable equals no co Is this my favorite Wings of Fire book to date?
