This book was of course shocking, sad, emotional, and beautifully written, but the twists were so page turning。 I will say towards the end half the twists got a little jumbled, but it didn’t take away from the story。 Loved this one

This is my 11th CoHo book and she defo has a formula。 And that formula is repetitive so although I love the angst and drama the endings always underwhelm me and Hopeless was no exception。

I wish I would have known about the trigger warnings of sexual violence before I read this。

3。75/5⭐️This was the first Colleen Hoover book that I didn’t get very into at first because it was high school setting。 I STRUGGLE with reading anything that’s in high school and like they’re super young it just ugh。 However, once the ball started rolling I couldn’t put the book down。 I had to know what happened next。 A lot of them were predictable but it was well written。 It was definitely not an easy book to read because of the SA/rape stuff。

i had SUCH a struggle trying to finish this book。 😭 i almost DNF’d it a couple times but somehow managed to push through。 the writing was very wattpad-y to me and when comparing her newer, more popular books to hopeless, you can see how much Colleen Hoover has improved。 the romance between dean and sky was very insta-lovey and i just wasn’t invested in it at all。 once the plot twists started happening in the second half of the book, it definitely got more bearable and more serious, but sadly it i had SUCH a struggle trying to finish this book。 😭 i almost DNF’d it a couple times but somehow managed to push through。 the writing was very wattpad-y to me and when comparing her newer, more popular books to hopeless, you can see how much Colleen Hoover has improved。 the romance between dean and sky was very insta-lovey and i just wasn’t invested in it at all。 once the plot twists started happening in the second half of the book, it definitely got more bearable and more serious, but sadly it wasn’t enough to save the book。 i think i’ve just read so many wattpad books like this in middle school that hopeless just seems very mediocre。 。。。more

I loved it and tbh this book deserves wayyy more attention!!Loved the storyline and the concept behind the characters connection (colleen hoover is truly a genius)。 Great writing style and honestly had me crying way too often, because it was just so captivating and emotional。 definitely recommend reading it!! (especially if you’re in for a good cry session)

Oh CoHo, you've done it again you crazy son of a bitch! Such a beautifully, heart wrenching story that makes you feel all the feels。 This story does have a more intense and triggering subject matter but it's written so well。 Easily one of my favorites of her books。 Oh CoHo, you've done it again you crazy son of a bitch! HeartbreakingMy heart is crushed into a million pieces。 This book was so much more than the romance I expected。 It was heartbreaking, devastating, and had twists I never saw coming until I was reading them through tears。 That said。。。there are some pretty heavy topics with zero trigger warnings that I've been able to find on either the kindle or Amazon app。 I had to pause a few times before continuing and I'm sure many readers could experience even worse reactions to some of the content given no HeartbreakingMy heart is crushed into a million pieces。 This book was so much more than the romance I expected。 It was heartbreaking, devastating, and had twists I never saw coming until I was reading them through tears。 That said。。。there are some pretty heavy topics with zero trigger warnings that I've been able to find on either the kindle or Amazon app。 I had to pause a few times before continuing and I'm sure many readers could experience even worse reactions to some of the content given no warning。 。。。more

The sky is always beautiful。 Even when it's dark or rainy or cloudy, it's still beautiful to look at。。。。it'll be there no matter what。。。and I know it'll always be beautiful。Colleen Hoover, Hopeless (Hopeless, #1)This is such a beautiful and realistic story!! It took me absolutely ages to read the first half of this book, then about 2 hours to read the second half。 It really feels like it’s two completely different books! I was really struggling to get into it, then halfway through BAM classic CoHo there’s a big old twist and suddenly you’re on a rollercoaster with these characters。 Would definitely recommend sticking with it if you’re struggling like I was!

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Every single book written by Colleen Hoover deserves a 5-start review。 But this one deserves it the most。 It’s an underrated book。 There’s too many plot twists in here to count。 I admire the love Sky and Holder have for each other and how it only grows。 It’s a heartbreaking story but it has such a good end。 Every single page was a page full of love, drama and more love。 I loved it and I can’t wait to read it for a second time in a week or two。

I have previously read two books by Colleen Hoover– It Ends with Us and Verity and I really enjoyed them both。 Nowadays so many of her books come up on Instagram and Hopeless sounded so intriguing。 I absolutely loved this book and the characters Sky and Holder。 I feel with each book I have read by Colleen Hoover, she builds up an amazing story line and these characters that just capture your attention completely and then she shatters everything。 This book is a wild ride, and I did guess a couple I have previously read two books by Colleen Hoover– It Ends with Us and Verity and I really enjoyed them both。 Nowadays so many of her books come up on Instagram and Hopeless sounded so intriguing。 I absolutely loved this book and the characters Sky and Holder。 I feel with each book I have read by Colleen Hoover, she builds up an amazing story line and these characters that just capture your attention completely and then she shatters everything。 This book is a wild ride, and I did guess a couple of the twists but not all of them because by the end of the book I was completely in shock。 This one does have some heavy content, so it won’t be for every reader, however I really enjoyed this book。 。。。more

Colleen Hoover never misses, ever。 Every book that I’ve read by her always manages to entertain and tug at the heartstrings。 This was was kinda predictable but I loved it nonetheless。 I only wish in the second half of the book she talked to Six more and maybeee called him Dean in present day。

Erin Sheppard

4。5/5 stars!! I didn’t like the beginning bc I found Sky and Holder’s relationship to be a little cringe when they first met but the book got wayyy better as it went on especially with the plot twists

Kristina McCulley

This book should have a trigger warning。

Sana

This book is good overall, however it was a tad bit disappointing as it was overhyped in my opinion。 I didn’t enjoy reading about high school and I felt like the book didn’t stick with me as much as the rest of Colleen Hoover books。

i cant put into words how insanely beautiful this book was。 i read the whole thing in less than 24 hours and it’s not hard to see why。 absolutely captivating。 thank you colleen for writing a book so many survivors can relate to♥️
