Summary

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Aurora Rose Reynolds comes a bittersweet romance about the risks and rewards of falling in love。

Everly never expected to move back in with her parents, and she definitely didn’t expect to do so as a single mother。 But with the father of her son suddenly out of the picture, she’s had to make some adjustments to her plans。

Now Everly has one priority: to make a life for herself and her boy。 And Blake, her sometimes infuriating but admittedly handsome employer at Live Life Adventures, doesn’t factor into her future as anything more than her boss。

But it seems the guy who’s about as friendly as a grizzly bear has a soft spot for her and her son…and the more time she spends with him, the more difficult it is to remember why giving in to the chemistry between them is a bad idea。

Now, with their future on the line, they’ll have to decide if love is a risk worth taking。

Risky is the second book in this series and this is Blake's story。 He is one of three owners of Live Life Adventures。 I wasn't a fan of Blake in the first book so I was intrigued by how he would be in his own。 He still had some jerky moments but there was an underlying sweetness to him, especially when it came to those he cared about。 Everly is back home and starting over with her son。 She gets the office manager position at Live Life Adventures and that is where she meets Blake。 They had a roug Risky is the second book in this series and this is Blake's story。 He is one of three owners of Live Life Adventures。 I wasn't a fan of Blake in the first book so I was intrigued by how he would be in his own。 He still had some jerky moments but there was an underlying sweetness to him, especially when it came to those he cared about。 Everly is back home and starting over with her son。 She gets the office manager position at Live Life Adventures and that is where she meets Blake。 They had a rough start but as the story progressed, we saw how cute they were together。 I loved how Blake treated Everly's son Sampson。 Blake has such a good relationship with his co-owners-Tanner and Maverick。 They are like brothers。 And his relationship with his family was just the sweetest。 Everly and Blake were nice as a couple and the little family they were building with Sampson was great。 Like the first book, Risky was an easy and pleasant read。 I can't wait to read Maverick's story。 。。。more

I found Risky to be an okay book。 Just like with book one in this series, the chemistry was off and there's something else that I can't put my hands on that is missing。 The chemistry and spice between the characters weren't what I'm used to from ARR。 Along with that, I don't find it being a memorable read。 not saying that it's terrible, it just wasn't a winner for me。 I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review。 I found Risky to be an okay book。 Just like with book one in this series, the chemistry was off and there's something else that I can't put my hands on that is missing。 The chemistry and spice between the characters weren't what I'm used to from ARR。 Along with that, I don't find it being a memorable read。 not saying that it's terrible, it just wasn't a winner for me。 I received an ARC via NetGalley for an honest review。 。。。more

3。5/5I love a hero that falls in love with the kid just as hard as with the heroine。 It was really cute。 This series focuses a lot with the side characters, which sometimes takes time away from the main romance。

When first met Blake in Rushed (Book1), I was curious to know why this guy that was talked about is such a good way was not coming across as a good guy at all。 As Risky unfolds, you learn about the secrets he is holding, and you have sympathy and understanding as to why he is a little grumpy and a little out of character。 Everly was dealt a crap hand by her ex, and he continues to dump onto her as the story moves forward。 You just want to snuggle little Sampson because is an adorable little guy。 When first met Blake in Rushed (Book1), I was curious to know why this guy that was talked about is such a good way was not coming across as a good guy at all。 As Risky unfolds, you learn about the secrets he is holding, and you have sympathy and understanding as to why he is a little grumpy and a little out of character。 Everly was dealt a crap hand by her ex, and he continues to dump onto her as the story moves forward。 You just want to snuggle little Sampson because is an adorable little guy。 Everly’s parents are amazing and supportive to her, and I just love the way that are with her and her son。Blake and Everly have an instant connection, however with Blake dealing with all he is, he tries to fight it and inadvertently hurts her over and over again。 But that fighting doesn’t last long, and once he decides he is in, watch out。 This is a slow burn, but it makes sense and also doesn’t feel like one because of the way in which these two connect。 Blake protects Sam and Everly with everything he has, and it is endearing to see how much of a connection he has with the little boy。 These two navigate their relationship perfectly and you get a little bit of Blake’s sister’s story as well。 I adore Aurora Rose Reynolds and jump at the chance to get every book she writes。 This is a great addition to her body of work, and I can’t wait for more from this group! 。。。more

Risky, the second book in the Adventures in Love series was even better than the first。 This is the first series I've ready by Aurora Rose Reynolds and there is something about the storytelling that keeps me glued to the pages。 I can't put my finger on it, but I went into this a little hesitant that I wasn't going to like it, and then I found myself addicted to the story, and the unexpected delight that was Blake, Everly, and Sampson's love story。I adore a good grump。 And Blake gives good grump。 Risky, the second book in the Adventures in Love series was even better than the first。 This is the first series I've ready by Aurora Rose Reynolds and there is something about the storytelling that keeps me glued to the pages。 I can't put my finger on it, but I went into this a little hesitant that I wasn't going to like it, and then I found myself addicted to the story, and the unexpected delight that was Blake, Everly, and Sampson's love story。I adore a good grump。 And Blake gives good grump。 He was a total jerk when we met him in Rushed and in Risky we get a lot more insight into what was making him tick, setting him off, and generally making him behave like an unruly bear。 Also? He is impossible not to love after all this。 Everly snuck right under his skin and, frankly, your ovaries are not ready for the deliciousness that is Blake's relationship with Everly's son Sampson。 It was a joy to read。 It hit me right in the heart and filled it up in the exact way that I wanted it to。 I loved them together。 I loved the adorable little family that they created and I just really enjoyed their story!I can't wait for more from this motley group of family and friends that I've grown so fond of! Everly’s life took an unexpected turn when the father of her baby wanted other things in life。 Moving back home was less than ideal but she would do what she had to in order to take the next step to embrace a future for and her son。 Meeting Blake and his surly attitude was something she would get over and discover the man beneath the rough edges。 What a great series and I’m looking forward to reading the next one!

Blake, Everly and Sampson。 I wasn’t a fan of Blake’s in Rushed。 There were too many moments where I wanted to Gibbs smack him, but I figured I needed to give him a chance and lemme tell you…this man…total book boyfriend goodness。 Everly is a force。 Sweet, sassy, not afraid to tell it like it is and an amazing mama。 This woman isn’t afraid to ask for help when she needs it, but she can also stand on her own two feet when necessary。 Blake and Everly’s journey to their HEA was really a lot of fun, and yes, Sampson played a huge part in it since his interactions with both of them showed each other, and us the readers, just what made them tick and how golden their hearts really are。 I loved watching them all get to know each other and become friends, lovers and then family。This was a great addition to the series。 It all that I loved about Rushed and a little more aka Sampson to make it a little different, but still have that same vibe that had me smiling the entire time。 While the angst is low, there is a good dose drama that kept things interesting。 I loved Everly and Blake’s parents and getting to hang out with Tanner, Cybil, Mason & Margaret was a lot of fun。 Now for Mav to get his HEA!~ Copy provided by the publisher via NetGalley & voluntarily reviewed ~ 。。。more

From some references made midway in Rushed, I was surprised to see who the heroine would be here。 I liked her, the dynamic was good。 You definitely dont see the same Blake referenced in the first book。 What I didn’t like was the references we get to another potential and they just wrapped up with a line in the epilogue。 I wanted so much more for them。 In a C list character note, how did Lauren and Oliver end up actually marrying? She was horrid in the first book。

Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion。I have to admit that I was wondering how Blake was going to redeem himself in Risky after being such a turd in Rushed。 ARR couldn't have picked a better heroine to help him do that。 Everly was a sweet single mom who had been going through some stuff since she found out she was pregnant。 Moving home with her ten-month-old son to live with her supportive parents wasn't what she wanted, but it put her in Blake's path and that was the best t Note: This review is for an ARC and is my unbiased opinion。I have to admit that I was wondering how Blake was going to redeem himself in Risky after being such a turd in Rushed。 ARR couldn't have picked a better heroine to help him do that。 Everly was a sweet single mom who had been going through some stuff since she found out she was pregnant。 Moving home with her ten-month-old son to live with her supportive parents wasn't what she wanted, but it put her in Blake's path and that was the best thing ever。Everly was one of those characters I felt for from the very beginning。 Her single mother status and the reason why she was one hit my heart hard。 I couldn't imagine having to deal with what she did。 Everly took what life had thrown at her and moved on to do the best she could for herself and her son。 I loved and respected her character。Back to Blake winning me over。 There were three things that did that for me。 The first was how he instantly connected and cared for Everly's son, Samson。 Blake and Samson bonded instantly, and I can't even explain how adorable it was。 The second was how Blake supported Everly through the tough spots with her ex。 He didn't have to do that before they were even a couple, but he did。 The final thing was learning what was going on in Blake's life。 He was carrying a heavy burden that would make anyone a grouch。 Things didn't start smoothly for Blake and Everly, but the more time they spent together the better things got。 They had an obvious attraction to each other and, as things go in ARR stories, quickly ended up with strong feelings for each other。 This didn't feel quite as instant lovey as some of her books, but it did progress quickly。 I didn't mind that at all。 Blake and Everly complimented each other so well that I could easily see them celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in the future。 The only thing that could have made this better was more pages and a more in depth look at how Everly and the ex's family moved on。 Well, that and I wondered what exactly happened with the Mason thing。 Are we getting a book for him?I loved being back in the Adventures in Love series。 Risky was a good addition to it and I can't wait for Maverick's book。 CW: cancer (adult parent)You can find this and other reviews like it at A Novel Glimpse。 。。。more

Risky gave me all the feels。 I loved Everly and Blake finding their happy ending。 Sam was so cute。 These three deserved their happy ending。 So good。 I read this book straight through because 8 could not put it down。 Ms。 Reynolds did it again! Risky was such a good read。 This series feels similar to her Until series。 Now I need Mavericks story。

I received an arc of this story from Netgalley for a honest reviewRisky is the 2nd book in the (Adventures in Love) series by Aurora Rose Reynolds, this is Blake's story。 We find out why he was so grumpy in the first book and we get to see him fall in love。Everly moved back in with her parents because the man she fell in love with and had a baby with did not want their son。 Who is so freaking cute。This story is about two people who have a lot on their plates but by helping each other their own b I received an arc of this story from Netgalley for a honest reviewRisky is the 2nd book in the (Adventures in Love) series by Aurora Rose Reynolds, this is Blake's story。 We find out why he was so grumpy in the first book and we get to see him fall in love。Everly moved back in with her parents because the man she fell in love with and had a baby with did not want their son。 Who is so freaking cute。This story is about two people who have a lot on their plates but by helping each other their own burdens lessen。This story overall was a light, happy read, with a little bit of darkness going with Blake's dad。 。。。more
