Summary

The amazing New York Times bestseller about what you can do when life gives you a second chance。

Chase's memory just went out the window。

Chase doesn't remember falling off the roof。 He doesn't remember hitting his head。 He doesn't, in fact, remember anything。 He wakes up in a hospital room and suddenly has to learn his whole life all over again 。 。 。 starting with his own name。

He knows he's Chase。 But who is Chase? When he gets back to school, he sees that different kids have very different reactions to his return。

Some kids treat him like a hero。 Some kids are clearly afraid of him。

One girl in particular is so angry with him that she pours her frozen yogurt on his head the first chance she gets。

Pretty soon, it's not only a question of who Chase is -- it's a question of who he was 。 。 。 and who he's going to be。

This book was hilarious。 I really enjoyed the ending and how everyone was able to see Chase in a different light。

Honestly, this book was good。 It felt a little predictable at points but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! I love stories about redemption, and this is a feel-good story for me。 I can’t overly relate to many of the characters, but I still enjoyed them。

My 10yo daughter and I listened to this together and loved it。 She was fascinated by the subject and the dichotomy between Chase's pre- and post-fall personality。 We tried to rope my 14yo into listening with us, and he declined after the first chapter。 But when he heard more of the story toward the end, he decided he wanted to restart (ha) it himself。 My 10yo daughter and I listened to this together and loved it。 She was fascinated by the subject and the dichotomy between Chase's pre- and post-fall personality。 We tried to rope my 14yo into listening with us, and he declined after the first chapter。 But when he heard more of the story toward the end, he decided he wanted to restart (ha) it himself。 。。。more

I really enjoyed this! Such a great book for middle school, with a thought-provoking, positive message about re-examining yourself and getting the chance to change to be a better person。 I think kids will really like and relate to this book。

The book ¨Restart¨ is about a teenage boy who lost his memory, Chase, and he has to restart his life while trying to gain back some of it。 Before, Chase was a bully, and was very popular。 But after he lost his memory he changed, he gained some new friends, and became a better person。 I think this book was really interesting and fun to read, it kept me going and I always looked forward to reading what happened next。 I would definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you like mysteries/ The book ¨Restart¨ is about a teenage boy who lost his memory, Chase, and he has to restart his life while trying to gain back some of it。 Before, Chase was a bully, and was very popular。 But after he lost his memory he changed, he gained some new friends, and became a better person。 I think this book was really interesting and fun to read, it kept me going and I always looked forward to reading what happened next。 I would definitely recommend reading this book, especially if you like mysteries/adventure-like books。 。。。more

My 5th grade student recommended this book, and it sounded interesting。 He even loaned me his copy, but then I decided maybe it would be good as an audiobook, and it was! I just got a "problem" student added to my class, so this was a timely story about redemption and the value of having a blank slate。 This book reminded me that everyone has the potential for good, and that we need to give people the opportunities to do good。 I just got a "problem" student added to my class, so this was a timely story about redemption and the value of having a blank slate。 This book reminded me that everyone has the potential for good, and that we need to give people the opportunities to do good。 。。。more

The different perspectives worked well here。 Unfortunately, the adults in this story were kind of a let down (especially the principal and Chase’s father)。 I wouldn’t say they were presented unrealistically, but they were certainly frustrating。 All in all, I enjoyed the book but would’ve liked Bear and Aaron to have some comeuppance。

This book was a really fun read personally。 The story is an interesting concept to think about and Makes the story fun to think and therolize about。 Another plus about Restart is that it doesn't drag on and is perfect length, If It was 50 more pages I believe the story wouldn't have been as clear and interesting to read。 The Characters are well-rounded and go through many changes that impact the story, for example, Shoshanna goes from hating Chase to thinking about dating at the very end。 The on This book was a really fun read personally。 The story is an interesting concept to think about and Makes the story fun to think and therolize about。 Another plus about Restart is that it doesn't drag on and is perfect length, If It was 50 more pages I believe the story wouldn't have been as clear and interesting to read。 The Characters are well-rounded and go through many changes that impact the story, for example, Shoshanna goes from hating Chase to thinking about dating at the very end。 The only thing that keeps it from being a 5 star is personally I think the end wasn't the end I had hope for and I think it was kind of a let down。 Overall A great read and a greatly recommend to others。 。。。more

Great middle grade read。 I'm sure we all wish our bullies got amnesia and forgot about their bullying ways。A good second chance story and, as an added bonus, a positive step-mom figure! This was definitely one of the best books that I've read in a while。 Now that I've read it, all the other books I'm reading don't seem as good。 It's not my favorite book of all time, but it's in my top ten for sure。 I thought the characters were very well done。 I will definitely be re-reading this sometime in the future。 I would 100% recommend it。 This was definitely one of the best books that I've read in a while。 Now that I've read it, all the other books I'm reading don't seem as good。 It's not my favorite book of all time, but it's in my top ten for sure。 I thought the characters were very well done。 I will definitely be re-reading this sometime in the future。 I would 100% recommend it。 。。。more
