Whose truth is the lie?  Stay up all night reading the sensational psychological thriller that has readers obsessed, from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of It Ends With Us

Lowen Ashleigh is a struggling writer on the brink of financial ruin when she accepts the job offer of a lifetime。 Jeremy Crawford, husband of bestselling author Verity Crawford, has hired Lowen to complete the remaining books in a successful series his injured wife is unable to finish。

Lowen arrives at the Crawford home, ready to sort through years of Verity’s notes and outlines, hoping to find enough material to get her started。 What Lowen doesn’t expect to uncover in the chaotic office is an unfinished autobiography Verity never intended for anyone to read。 Page after page of bone-chilling admissions, including Verity's recollection of the night her family was forever altered。

Lowen decides to keep the manuscript hidden from Jeremy, knowing its contents could devastate the already grieving father。 But as Lowen’s feelings for Jeremy begin to intensify, she recognizes all the ways she could benefit if he were to read his wife’s words。 After all, no matter how devoted Jeremy is to his injured wife, a truth this horrifying would make it impossible for him to continue loving her。

Had me hooked immediately! Very unexpected ending that I loved too。

First of all I only read this book by Colleen Hoover and planning to read more of her books。 I loved her writing style and this story was soooooooo creepy, I was reading it at midnight and it’d difficult to sleep now cause I’m creeped out LOL Over all its a good story but I didn’t like the parts of abusing children。 And I’m still confused with the last letter。

couldn’t put it downWow。 So good。 Finished it in one day because I couldn’t put it down! Definitely a must read for anyone who likes some suspense!

Wow… This book caused every emotion possible to run its course and I’m not mad about it。 I thought I had the ending figured out and then it took a complete 180*。 Don’t know how to feel about lowen and Jeremey, but I loved the plot!!

Erin Schulmire

Twisty, spicy AND a little insidious?! Yes please!

This book is perfect。 WAS NOT expecting the twist at the end。 It leaves me wondering alot of things。 I absolutely loved the book!

Although it was definitely a page-turner, I detested both the characters and the ending。 I didn’t like Lowen from the start of the book and I absolutely hated her at the end of it ::cough:: homewrecker ::cough:: She literally stole all aspects of Verity’s life and then tried to justify why it was okay。 Lowen = scum of the Earth。Jeremy was another character that I instantly didn’t particularly like or trust because the author tried to Extreme Spoilers Ahead!!This book was positively infuriating! No way!) and what caused her accident (come on, it’s always the spouse)。The author spends the whole book setting up Verity as the villain of the story as a way to detract from the evil within both Lowen and Jeremy。 They are the true villains of this story and got to live happily ever after。 Despicable! 。。。more

(Ноо, както казах - невероятна! Просто исках по друг начин да се развият нещата。)Беше твърде кратка。。。。искам още!

WOW。 I am in shock。 I could not put this book down。 I was dying to know what would happen next every time I finished a page。 Creepy, steamy and phenomenal。 Would recommend this 10 times over。

Completely got me out of my reading slump after reading Madeline Miller’s ‘Circe’。 Honestly, whatever twist you think this book is gonna take, it’s the COMPLETE opposite。 Crazy shit

Best thing I can say is there was a point where I was really interested in what was going to happen。 Writing quality wasn't that great and sexy language made for awkward reading on the airplane, but I am a liberated woman。 Quick read, but kind of meh。 Still #bookclurb Best thing I can say is there was a point where I was really interested in what was going to happen。 Writing quality wasn't that great and sexy language made for awkward reading on the airplane, but I am a liberated woman。 Quick read, but kind of meh。 Still #bookclurb 。。。more

3。5 ⭐It's a solid book。 For the reviews I've read i thought it would be more scary and more psychotic。 It's not even scary。。。 I would like to see more action, like Jeremy could be a maniac or something! The end of the book leaves the reader doubting everything, not really know what it's true or not killed my vibe a little。Overall I liked the characters and the way the story was developed。 3。5 ⭐It's a solid book。 For the reviews I've read i thought it would be more scary and more psychotic。 It's not even scary。。。 I would like to see more action, like Jeremy could be a maniac or something! Cheers to this book for breaking my almost one year long book slump。 🥳5 stars for that achievement。Because of the fact that this book is a thriller, I knew I'd want to finish it; hands down。 Thrillers are my favorite genre; and I heard amazing things about this book too。 I had a feeling I'd be desperate to find out the ending。This is my first Colleen Hoover book; because for some reason her romance books aren't for me。 I enjoyed her writing and her way of describing events。 It's easy, smooth and Cheers to this book for breaking my almost one year long book slump。 🥳5 stars for that achievement。Because of the fact that this book is a thriller, I knew I'd want to finish it; hands down。 Thrillers are my favorite genre; and I heard amazing things about this book too。 I had a feeling I'd be desperate to find out the ending。This is my first Colleen Hoover book; because for some reason her romance books aren't for me。 I enjoyed her writing and her way of describing events。 It's easy, smooth and pleasant for me to read as someone who's first language is not English。 People also mentioned that this book had spooky vibes。 I didn't believe I would be spooked out by a book, but I was。 🧍‍♀️It spooked me out in some scenes。 That's when you know a thriller is good。As far as the characters and plot, I HATED the main character。 I mean, if I was Verity I'd kill her。 ❤️Yeah<3 This bitch comes to MY house, MY property, steals MY man and snoops around MY office and documents like she owns the place。 Lowen's curiosity is so ugly。 Have some fucking respect for the house residents。 99% of the time she's doing something she's not supposed to do。 She barely did any work; she snooped around and acted as if it's her right to uncover family secrets through her ugly curiousity。 Sweetie go get checked <3。I mean, sure Verity is not our favorite person; but Lowen can go to hell。 I hated her so much I actually favored Verity over in some scenes。 Yeah, THAT much。The plot twist at the end WAS NOT expected。 I was 🤯Colleen took me by surprise; I will give her that。This book is unique in its own way as I have not read anything like it。 It kept me on my toes and had me addicted to it。 I'd say Colleen did a good job writing a thriller, and writing a book ABOUT the mind of an author; considering Verity is an author herself。 We got to dive deep into the brain of an author and the story and inspiration and work behind their books。 I enjoyed reading that。 I had an almost one year long book slump; and this book intrigued me enough to break it。 Anything that has to do with secrets being revealed, plot twists, and twists and turns; sign me the FUCK UP。 I knew I would enjoy this。 However, I didn't find Colleen's writing to be PHENOMENAL considering her hype。 I found her overrated; considering her writing was very average。 Not THAT special。 I mean it was good enough and easy to read, but not the best out there。 (with the hype she has) I definitely read better works of more talented authors who unfortunately have underrated books。Still, I'd definitely recommend this book。 It was great。 。。。more

Not at all what I was expecting after having read It Ends With Us earlier this year。 Took a very dark turn, but so well written and such a crazy plot twist at the end。 Interesting perspective in the writing style too switching between the two "stories"。 Not at all what I was expecting after having read It Ends With Us earlier this year。 Took a very dark turn, but so well written and such a crazy plot twist at the end。 Interesting perspective in the writing style too switching between the two "stories"。 。。。more
