Summary

I may have reached my breaking point。 As if trying to graduate from a school for supernaturals isn’t stressful enough, my relationship status has gone from complicated to a straight-up dumpster fire。 Oh, and the Bloodletter has decided to drop a bomb of epic proportions on us all。。。 Then again, when has anything at Katmere Academy not been intense?<?i>

And the hits just keep coming。 Jaxon's turned colder than an Alaskan winter。 The Circle is splintered over my upcoming coronation。 As if things couldn’t get worse, now there’s an arrest warrant for Hudson’s and my supposed crimes—which apparently means a lifetime prison sentence with a deadly unbreakable curse。

Choices will have to be made。。。and I fear not everyone will survive。

I actually don’t mind long books ( I listen to the audiobooks as I work), however I don’t like when the same 10 minute inner dialogue is repeated over and over and over 。 This book is 1/4 of things actually happening and 3/4 of Grace’s inner dialogue。 We still don’t get so many answers , we still don’t know why her parents did what they did, we still don’t know about the 4 months Hudson and Grace were trapped together。 After 54 hours of audiobooks ( seriously each one is 18 hours x3) Grace is st I actually don’t mind long books ( I listen to the audiobooks as I work), however I don’t like when the same 10 minute inner dialogue is repeated over and over and over 。 This book is 1/4 of things actually happening and 3/4 of Grace’s inner dialogue。 We still don’t get so many answers , we still don’t know why her parents did what they did, we still don’t know about the 4 months Hudson and Grace were trapped together。 After 54 hours of audiobooks ( seriously each one is 18 hours x3) Grace is still denying her feelings for Hudson。 We are still listening to graces SAME thoughts over and over about how she can’t let Hudson in because she will be destroyed if something happens。 This argument is probably in every YA NOVEL ever written。 Not only is it unoriginal but it doesn’t make sense… obviously they are already past the point of return with their feelings so pretending you don’t feel that way is pointless。 Can more authors understand how ridiculous this is? Also they are literally MATED。 Everything we have learned in 3 18 hour books have told us that a natural mate bond cannot be broken so grace couldn’t deny her feelings if she tried。 I enjoyed the actual action and real dialogue between characters but the inner dialogue is SO monotonous。 Plus WHY don’t we get Hudson’s POV? 。。。more

The best out of 3 so far。 I am team Hudson for sure, but Jaxon really got the shit end of the stick。Grace is not my favorite character。 She thinks way too much and makes thing more complicated for herself and everyone around her。

Emily Romesberg

This book had me screaming and crying。 Tracy does such a good job getting you attached to the characters。 Remy and Caulder have quickly become two of my favorite characters, although Hudson will always be my number one。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Le mie aspettative su questo libro erano completamente diverse。 Ovviamente dopo Crush, che ho amato tantissimo, mi aspettavo un libro da urlo。 Invece no。 A partire dalla cosa del legame, cioè Grace mi piace però veramente molto incoerente。 La storia a parer mio poteva essere strutturata in un altro modo, magari più scorrevole e con meno problemi。 Allungano troppo le vicende, sicuramente il prossimo libro (court) poteva starci benissimo anche in questo levando molte scene dell’inferno o di lei ch Le mie aspettative su questo libro erano completamente diverse。 Ovviamente dopo Crush, che ho amato tantissimo, mi aspettavo un libro da urlo。 Invece no。 A partire dalla cosa del legame, cioè Grace mi piace però veramente molto incoerente。 La storia a parer mio poteva essere strutturata in un altro modo, magari più scorrevole e con meno problemi。 Allungano troppo le vicende, sicuramente il prossimo libro (court) poteva starci benissimo anche in questo levando molte scene dell’inferno o di lei che deve continuamente studiare。 。。。more

I'm a little whiplashed from all the things that went wrong and they had to overcome。 I yelled at the pages more than once and actually facepalmed myself in frustration - or should I say bookpalmed because I just hit myself in the face with the book? But that was just because I was so invested and I just wanted things to go right for 5 friggin' minutes 🥲。 All in all, I actually reaally liked this book and I'm crying on the inside because I'll only get the next 2 books of this series in May。 Also I'm a little whiplashed from all the things that went wrong and they had to overcome。 I yelled at the pages more than once and actually facepalmed myself in frustration - or should I say bookpalmed because I just hit myself in the face with the book?

。。。more

HOLY CRAP! I was in tears starting & finishing this book! The plot twists & drama that ensues throughout the book was thrilling & kept me on the edge of my seat。 I was very excited to see how things between Grace, Jaxon, & Hudson unraveled! & BOY was I impressed & met with unexpected feelings seeing the events unfold。 If you have any interest in books with fantasy, drama, romance, comedy and/or royalty aspects this series is for you。 GO start with book #1! For those of you who have read Crave & HOLY CRAP! For those of you who have read Crave & Crush, Spoilers are below!!SPOILERS:YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!!Holy cow I am in love with HUDSON。 I've said it & wont be taking it back! Everything that happens with Hudson & Grace in this book kept me reading, but I for sure stuck around for Hudson & his beautiful blue eyes! This book jumped in with a miniscule time jump (I think roughly a month) from the ending events of Crush (Book #2) which allowed the pressure & stress that Grace was feeling to be more genuine for the reader。 The build up of the plot allowed enough time for the reader to breath & prepare emotionally/mentally for what could happen to the characters! I loved the little journeys that the characters took at the beginning half of the story。 The story from "The Crone", the adventures in the land of the giants, and the buildup to graduation day were all exciting & provided good background info on important characters & their histories。 Oh don't let me forget the DRAGON COURT events! I could not believe what Nuri did to Hudson & the gang for CYRUS! I literally had to walk away from the book & breath before continuing on。 The second half of the book involving the events in the Autheareum (spelling?) were INTENSE & had me in tears! The pain & concern that was shown by Hudson, Flint, & Calder when they experienced the punishments was so real & left me wondering what Grace would have experienced as her punishment。 The journey of the characters working to leave the prison were crazy & 1000% proof that this jail is unfair & too demanding。 I agree so much with Grace & her observations of what needs to be fixed with the processes of this prison。 NOW for character highlights:Grace: OUR GARGOYLE QUEEN!! I am still in shock from how she survived that eternal bite at the end of Crush。 This poor girl basically just lost her mate, lost Hudson out of her head (a win technically), almost got destroyed during the events to get a seat on the Circle, & then nearly did die from the eternal bite VIA Cyrus。 The fact that she is walking around semi normally is INSANE。 & Then what happens--Jaxon dumps her & then starts acting like a stuck up jerk who could care less。 I felt for her。 I empathized greatly, & then was HIGHLY annoyed when Hudson was being so genuine in trying to help her & Grace treated HUDSON (my favorite character) like they didnt just spend months together (even if she did forget about the events) being friends! He is HER MATE & she has the AUDACITY to try & find a way to break their bond after knowing how insanely painful it was when her & Jaxon's split?!?! I was astonished to say the least。 Then some chapters later & it seems like she has warmed up to Hudson & I was ecstatic!! To many it may feel unfair & very annoying, but I think if the reader remembers that "technically" Jaxon & Grace weren't bonded together when Grace & Hudson were trapped in stone (Hudson mentions this @ the end of Crush in his perspective chapters。 ) then, it doesnt seem as drastic that Hudson & Grace are bonded, friendly, and MATED! The loss from Grace's view is greater, becasue she doesn't know any better。 Eventually she has to get over things with Jaxon。 Jaxon: The Vampire Prince。 I will admit I loved his character in Crave, & then slowly throughout Crush, I felt like he lost my favor (this had nothing to do with HUDSON showing up BTW)。 When he broke up with Grace in COVET, I was upset, but not surprised。 He did what he felt was best for him, Grace, & even Hudson。 I saw that as admirable。 However, as events unfolded and it became very clear that Jaxon was changing & treating his friends differently, I lose a ton of my adoration for him & his kindness。 When it becomes known that he is losing his soul & could die, I was sad for him, but didn't think it warranted the response from GRACE that it did。 I love Jaxon & his story, but I did not think it made sense for Grace to break her bond with Hudson so she could mate back with Jaxon just to keep him from dying。 It just felt like too much of an authorial plot twist to keep Hudson & Grace apart。 At the end of the novel when Jaxon gives his life up for Flint (the sweet boy) My heart almost fell out of my chest。 I was shook, but not surprised at her willingness to spare his life & powers to help heal Flint。 I was in tears as the battle died down & everyone realized that Jaxon was gone。 I was sobbing when Nuri gave her dragon heart to him。 It was bittersweet to see Flint & Jaxon saved & Luca sacrificed。 Characters dying is one of my least favorite plot twists in books, but in a genre/story like the Crave series it is inevitable。 HUDSON: My Sweet Vampire Prince This guy is the sweetest & most misunderstood characters in YA history! It takes AGES for the characters to begin to trust Hudson, but even longer for GRACE to admit she LOVES him in all his bad boy glory! I loved the plot points that allowed me as the reader to get a better understanding of who Hudson is & what he will do for his loved ones。 He surprised his friends & Grace at every turn, but I am proud to call him my favorite character。 His choices, actions, words ALL mean the world to him & it shows! I was crying during the chapters in the prison & all the fighting (between the prison mates in the Pit & the giant fight for Cheron (such a jerk) & the fact that they barely escaped alive & immediately were thrust into a battle on the island。 He worked so hard to prove himself to Grace & the others & then had to turn around & use his powers which he HATES, just so no one else would die。 It was truly heartbreaking。 I am glad him & Grace have worked things out, but am anxious to see what happens between them in the next book。 The other characters throughout the book left me with a sense of family & protection。 Macy & Uncle Finn work so hard to take care of Grace。 Eden, Mekhi, Luca and the rest of "The Order" all bring so much enthusiasm & determination to the group。 Calder & Remy were exciting to get to know & their histories made the reality of the prison even more unbearable。 I am looking forward to the next twists & turns that will come with reading Court! 。。。more

Still really liked this one。 LOVED Hudson as a character。 The ending was a little less satisfying as compared to the others, but still interesting for going into the next book。 We’ll see where it continues!!

LOVE this book just as much as the first two。 Can’t wait for the next one! Such a super quick read, even with over 500 pages。 Still got all the same heart squeezing big feels, and the storyline is easy to follow even when there are twists and turns。 I’m obsessed!
