Pomimo całej dziwności tej książki i momentów w których miałam takie BELLA CO TY ROBISZ DO CHOLERY （po 300 stronie）， wciągnęłam się w 100%， Edward jest cudowny， chcę kolejne tomy i oczywiście już zaczęłam film。 （Subiektywna opinia， rozumiem wszystkie osoby które nie lubią Zmierzchu， ale jakby。。。 no cóż）

I have read this book many times but I have now read it as an adult and I just want to know who ？？？？ let us obsess over this toxic story 😩 - huh they meet in January， get together officially in March （meadow） and the next day is the baseball scene。 Prom is may so they've known each other for 5 （？？） months at the end of this book- Edward is incredibly gaslighty- He sneaks into her bedroom without her knowing and watches her sleep and Bella is like OH OKAY COOL - Carlisle was supposed to be so sai I have read this book many times but I have now read it as an adult and I just want to know who ？？？？ let us obsess over this toxic story 😩 - huh they meet in January， get together officially in March （meadow） and the next day is the baseball scene。 Prom is may so they've known each other for 5 （？？） months at the end of this book- Edward is incredibly gaslighty- He sneaks into her bedroom without her knowing and watches her sleep and Bella is like OH OKAY COOL - Carlisle was supposed to be so saintly but he turned Esme after she jumped off a cliff after losing her kid？？？ Sharing patient files with Edward after her accident？ Hippocratic oath who？- Eric cannot take no for an answer omg- Bella has more sass than in the movies but she has no personality。 Like that's it。 She loves Edward and that's it- Renee is not a great parent but also neither is Charlie？ Also， it's thundering and raining outside and Bella is like oh yeah just going to go play baseball 🙃- the school is so small but there's multiple buildings？ Is this normalOverall， did I enjoy the read。 Yes。 Is it better because nostalgia， probably。 I think the issue is that Twilight （and later books and movies） promote unhealthy relationships and that's bad for impressionable teens （but that being said as a 12 year old I never was like omg Edward is the perfect boyfriend 🥰）。 At least the supernatural vampire element helps make it less realistic but when that spun off to 50 shades of grey， or After （different fan fiction）， the toxic relationships are just highlighted 😅 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 While I have read Twilight before this is the first time I’ve read it in several years， since I’ve entered adulthood。 4 stars total， 3 for the story itself and 1 for the added nostalgia。Twilight does give me this happy nostalgic feeling and for that I will forever love it， however that doesn’t mean it’s without faults。 So Bella is a self-insert character。 And to a degree， it can work because as the reader you are more so able to put yourself in the story。 However， the main character having no re While I have read Twilight before this is the first time I’ve read it in several years， since I’ve entered adulthood。 4 stars total， 3 for the story itself and 1 for the added nostalgia。Twilight does give me this happy nostalgic feeling and for that I will forever love it， however that doesn’t mean it’s without faults。 So Bella is a self-insert character。 And to a degree， it can work because as the reader you are more so able to put yourself in the story。 However， the main character having no real characteristics other than being pale and brunette and clumsy and enjoying classical books， there’s nothing to grab the reader to her。 Let’s not also forget that Bella is insanely dramatic and tends to focus on how others look a lot。 Yeah， she’s a teenager but she’s pretty shallow in that regard。Let’s not also forget that Bella basically abandons her friends once her and Edward become closer。 Her entire existence seems to revolve around her romance with Edward， and I get it it’s supposed to be a romance book but come on。Can we also agree that Bella’s home life isn’t ideal？ She was a young teenager helping her mom pay the bills and do chores around the house and so much more， more than a 15 year old should have to worry about anyway。 And her dad isn’t great either， he’s never there。 He lets her cook for him like it’s not that big of a deal when he was able to feed himself for 17 years before she came to live with him。 Plus there’s a few other things from other books if my memory is serving correctly but I’ll talk about that when I write those reviews。 Now let’s talk about Edward。 Movie Edward does this man no justice。 There’s so many good moments in this book that the movie just glosses over。 Book Edward is so much better， and his banter with Bella and hearing about his facial expressions and small little things that just add up is what made me Team Edward in the first place。 Honestly right now I have more of a fight to pick with Bella than I do Edward 。。。more
