When Grandma comes to visit for the 1st time, she tends the little boy and they become Jaguars - running through the woods and going on an amazing adventure together。 Is it magic? Beautiful illustrations - I love that the reflections of the jaguar are the boy and his grandma。 Woodrow White's illustrations perfectly compliment this magical story。 Perfect for bedtime or story time。 What animals would you and your grandmother be?Cross posted to https://kissthebookjr。blogspot。com/20。。。 When Grandma comes to visit for the 1st time, she tends the little boy and they become Jaguars - running through the woods and going on an amazing adventure together。 Is it magic? Either way, the peculiar journey is worth taking。 。。。more

Grandma comes to babysit and: they become jaguars。 Jaguaring ensues。 A funny book that leave the readers wondering how much of the story was make-believe。 Delightful。 (I plan to show my students the note in the back that the book had input from young people at the Young Editors Project。)

"Jaguars jaguar, so we jaguared on。" A lovely imaginative tale of a young boy and his grandmother bonding through play and storytelling。 I love the inter-generational connection and that the narrative is used to depict actual jaguars as the story is told。 Kids reading will jump in with joy and resonate well with the level of play。 Illustrations are captivating and I love the tie-in at the end of the story where the grandmother sends a note to her grandson at school: it's a nice way to remind chi "Jaguars jaguar, so we jaguared on。" A lovely imaginative tale of a young boy and his grandmother bonding through play and storytelling。 I love the inter-generational connection and that the narrative is used to depict actual jaguars as the story is told。 Kids reading will jump in with joy and resonate well with the level of play。 Illustrations are captivating and I love the tie-in at the end of the story where the grandmother sends a note to her grandson at school: it's a nice way to remind children they are loved by those in their life who care for them。**Note: I was given a review copy of this book from Chronicle Kids。 Opinions are my own。 。。。more
