Summary

What a fantastic sci-fi story！ Rando Sando， does it again！ He gives us another interesting female lead character and one of the best characters he’s created and that is M-Bot！ This story does has a bit of teenage angst and does suffer from characters being stubborn。 The space fights are well done and Rando Sando types a vivid scene of the fights。 Now the ending leaves you with sooooo many question， and I can’t wait to dive more into this series…Defiant to the end！

I don't read a lot of science fiction but I really liked this one。 I've heard really good things about Brandon Sanderson and this book definitely lived up to the hype。 This is apparently the 1st book in a series， so I Definitely plan to read the rest of the books。Would I recommend it？I would， definitely。 Even if you're not super into sci fi， this was a fun read。 I don't read a lot of science fiction but I really liked this one。 I've heard really good things about Brandon Sanderson and this book definitely lived up to the hype。 This is apparently the 1st book in a series， so I Definitely plan to read the rest of the books。Would I recommend it？I would， definitely。 Even if you're not super into sci fi， this was a fun read。 。。。more

I really enjoyed Skyward by Brandon Sanderson。 Having read all of his Cosmere books， I decided to try one of his stories not set in that universe。 Overall it was a great read。 Ultimately there were elements of the story that did not 100% work for me such as the narrative dealing with how top level military leaders treat an innocent student with extreme， prejudice but in the end it fits together with the overall story。 Spensa’s idolization of her father as well as the change in that identity real I really enjoyed Skyward by Brandon Sanderson。 Having read all of his Cosmere books， I decided to try one of his stories not set in that universe。 Overall it was a great read。 Ultimately there were elements of the story that did not 100% work for me such as the narrative dealing with how top level military leaders treat an innocent student with extreme， prejudice but in the end it fits together with the overall story。 Spensa’s idolization of her father as well as the change in that identity really works well in this story and felt very natural when considering his “role” in the overall plot。 Again， I really enjoyed this story and look forward to checking out the sequel， Starsight。 。。。more

NO NO ，

Okay， so having been bought this book as a gift back when it very first came out I did not write a review， partly becuase I did not finish it。 Now that I have recently finished it I am thinking to myself， "why the hell did I not finish it？"。 This book is one of my all time favourites now， the story is just too good and Brandon shows off his powerful writing skills （something I admire a lot about Brandon）。 Everything about this book is just amazing， I really cannot stress just how engaged I am wi Okay， so having been bought this book as a gift back when it very first came out I did not write a review， partly becuase I did not finish it。 Now that I have recently finished it I am thinking to myself， "why the hell did I not finish it？"。 This book is one of my all time favourites now， the story is just too good and Brandon shows off his powerful writing skills （something I admire a lot about Brandon）。 Everything about this book is just amazing， I really cannot stress just how engaged I am with this universe he has conjured。 I am now onto book two and this appears to be one hell of a journey！ 。。。more

I think 4。5 is an accurate rating。 It took me awhile to get through this one - I listened to it off and on。 The first half was mostly world and character building， but it was an interesting development although a little slow at times。 The 2nd half was very enjoyable and the ending quite satisfying。 This is probably my favorite Sanderson book so far
