This book is such a treasure trove of Eric Carle’s iconic artwork! Over 200 illustrations paired with words, categorized in 5 subjects: Things You Eat, Things You See, Things You Learn, Colorful Things, and Things About You。 Elliot recognized a lot of the illustrations from the many Eric Carle books we’ve recently checked out from the library。 It’s a great way to introduce vocabulary through the colorful and fun world of Eric Carle。 This is a library copy, but I definitely want to add it to Elli This book is such a treasure trove of Eric Carle’s iconic artwork! This is a library book, but if I come across a copy secondhand I think it would be awesome to use this to make our own French-English dictionary。

Read in French - L’imagier eric Carle mes 200 premiers mots。 Good for practicing words and the pictures are lovely。 The kids weren’t all that into it though。

I'm not sure the "Feelings" illustrations really worked, but, other than that, the book was good。 No plot, just concepts。 I'm not sure the "Feelings" illustrations really worked, but, other than that, the book was good。 No plot, just concepts。 。。。more

Bright colourful book full of pictures and words to share and talk about。 The book is divided into 5 sections: Things You See; Things You Eat; Things You Learn; Colourful Things; and Things About You。 Most of the words are "things" but some are concepts such as feelings or actions。 Each double-page spread has a large illustration linked to the topic with several relevant illustrations (with words) on the opposite page。 Children familiar with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" will have g Bright colourful book full of pictures and words to share and talk about。 The book is divided into 5 sections: Things You See; Things You Eat; Things You Learn; Colourful Things; and Things About You。 Most of the words are "things" but some are concepts such as feelings or actions。 Each double-page spread has a large illustration linked to the topic with several relevant illustrations (with words) on the opposite page。 Children familiar with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" will have great fun spotting it! 。。。more

A fun, bright "200 first words" book。 I'm curious if Eric Carle did any new illustrations for this, or if it's remixed from his existing picture books。 Either way, his fans will enjoy it。 A fun, bright "200 first words" book。 I'm curious if Eric Carle did any new illustrations for this, or if it's remixed from his existing picture books。 Either way, his fans will enjoy it。 。。。more

Is there anything better than Eric Carle’s bright and colorful illustrations? This book brings them all together in one place with some new ones as well。

Janet

A book of over200first words all from illustrations done by Eric Carle covering things you see, ear, learn, yourself, and colors。 Within the five sections further grouped into two page spreads of topics。 In the color section was a spread on multi colors。 Many favorite objects from Carlie’s illustrations appear throughout the pages including the hungry caterpillar。 Delightful。
