Confessions atau Kokuhaku merupakan karya pertama Minato Kanae sekaligus menjadi bukunya yang pertama kubaca。 Buku ini bergenre misteri kejahatan dengan subgenre iyamisu， yaitu buku yang memberikan kesan tidak enak atau aneh kepada pembaca terkait dengan sisi gelap manusia。 Untuk aku pribadi， buku ini cukup mampu menyampaikan kesan seperti itu。 Confessions secara garis besar menceritakan pembalasan dendam Moriguchi Yuko， seorang guru SMP yang anak semata wayangnya meninggal secara tragis akibat ‘ Confessions atau Kokuhaku merupakan karya pertama Minato Kanae sekaligus menjadi bukunya yang pertama kubaca。 Buku ini bergenre misteri kejahatan dengan subgenre iyamisu， yaitu buku yang memberikan kesan tidak enak atau aneh kepada pembaca terkait dengan sisi gelap manusia。 Untuk aku pribadi， buku ini cukup mampu menyampaikan kesan seperti itu。 Confessions secara garis besar menceritakan pembalasan dendam Moriguchi Yuko， seorang guru SMP yang anak semata wayangnya meninggal secara tragis akibat ‘dibunuh’ salah dua dari anak didiknya。 Dari sini diperlihatkan dengan jelas pergolakan batin seorang guru， ‘menegakkan keadilan’ atas kematian anaknya atau melindungi anak didiknya。 Kronologi kasus pembunuhan tersebut diceritakan dari berbagai sudut pandang， sehingga aku bisa lebih menyelami isi pikiran para tokoh sekaligus memahami motif mereka melakukan hal tersebut。 Pikiran tergelap， tersuram， tersesat tokoh-tokohnya digambarkan cukup detail。 Ditambah lagi fakta bahwa dalang dibalik pembunuhan tersebut adalah anak SMP membuat buku ini terasa makin tidak waras。 Seiring berjalannya cerita aku makin dibuat menganga dengan jalan pikiran para tokoh， terutama murid A dan B。 Ironisnya， kasus pembunuhan yang sempat gagal ini malah ‘disukseskan’ oleh tokoh yang tidak memiliki niat membunuh。 Penulis yang bermain dengan berbagai sudut pandang atau versi cerita menambah kelebihan buku ini， sehingga pembaca bisa mengerti kisah hidup yang membentuk karakter para tokoh。 Aku sendiri sempat dibuat bersimpati。 Satu tokoh yang paling mendapat sorotan dariku adalah murid A， yang kegilaannya sebagai bocah SMP tidak main-main。 Gambaran anak jenius yang menyalahgunakan kecerdasannya。 Jalan pikirannya yang tidak pernah bisa kutebak membuatku bersumpah serapah。 Akan tetapi， ketika menengok ke masa lalu， sebenarnya tokoh ini adalah seorang anak kecil biasa yang rapuh。 Saat cerita beralih menggunakan sudut pandangnya， rasanya semua motifnya—secara mengerikan—terasa masuk akal di beberapa bagian。 Meskipun begitu， murid A ini level sesatnya sudah tidak bisa dijabarkan dengan kata-kata。 Begitulah buku sakit ini mengungkapkan rasa frustrasi masing-masing tokoh。 Rasa frustrasi tersebut cukup berhasil tersalurkan kepadaku。 Balas dendam yang tidak biasa。 Mungkin setiap kali aku meminum susu， aku akan ingat buku ini。 Rating-ku untuk buku ini belum sempurna karena aku merasa Confessions secara keseluruhan belum sebombastis itu。 P。S ternyata ada sedikit cinta segitiga di antara tokoh-tokoh sakit ini。 。。。more
