Farklı bir Antigone yorumu kesinlikle。 Aslında tıpkı Sofokles’te olduğu gibi Antigone ve Kreon yine yapması gerekenleri yapıyorlar。 Kreon kral olduğu， Antigone’yse ağabeyini gömmesi gereken bir kız olduğu için。 Ama bu sefer karakterler sırf temsil ettikleri kavramlardan ibaret kalmıyor。 Kreon merhametli olsa da yapması gerekeni yapıp Antigone’yi ölüme yolluyor。 Çünkü hayatın düzeni insanların eylemlerinin çok ötesinde。 Tıpkı Antigone’nin ölüme， İsmene’ninse yaşama yazgılı olması gibi。

It is a distinctive play ， it discusses many philosophical problems from society to politics， also the language is rather simple and does not need time to understand the goal of the writer， but the question remains what the writer wants from 。。。。

The themes of free will and power are interesting and there is some strikingly beautiful language as well as fun meta-commentary about tragedy， but its adherence to the structure of Greek tragedy ends up kind of hobbling it， especially at the end。 I could see a production of this working， but it would need to be very stylized。 Despite the correct meta-analysis by Chorus in the play about tragedy being inevitable and pieces falling into place， they fall into place too quickly at the end to the po The themes of free will and power are interesting and there is some strikingly beautiful language as well as fun meta-commentary about tragedy， but its adherence to the structure of Greek tragedy ends up kind of hobbling it， especially at the end。 I could see a production of this working， but it would need to be very stylized。 Despite the correct meta-analysis by Chorus in the play about tragedy being inevitable and pieces falling into place， they fall into place too quickly at the end to the point where it’s almost farcical and funny。。。 I’m unsure whether that was intended because Anouilh is an odd dude， but having this ending be a sort of pitch black comedy moment may be a more interesting read than as straight tragedy。 Again， a production of this would need to be highly stylized to be effective。 。。。more

El escritor francés Jean Anouilh reversiona la famosa obra clásica Antígona de Sófocles de un modo interesante。El autor caracteriza a Antígona como un personaje lúgubre， evidentemente trágico。 Al mismo tiempo nos presenta a Hemón como un joven alegre， atlético。 Este delineamiento de los personajes indica que ambos no son compatibles。 De hecho es la personalidad de Ismene la que parece más apropiada para el joven ， ya que demuestra ser divertida y  sociable。 Sin embargo， contra toda expectativa， El escritor francés Jean Anouilh reversiona la famosa obra clásica Antígona de Sófocles de un modo interesante。El autor caracteriza a Antígona como un personaje lúgubre， evidentemente trágico。 Al mismo tiempo nos presenta a Hemón como un joven alegre， atlético。 Este delineamiento de los personajes indica que ambos no son compatibles。 De hecho es la personalidad de Ismene la que parece más apropiada para el joven ， ya que demuestra ser divertida y  sociable。 Sin embargo， contra toda expectativa， Hemón elige a Antígona como su novia y ella acepta。 El coro informa al lector acerca de estos hechos。Del mismo modo el coro relata que Creonte tampoco esperaba ser rey pero el destino final de Edipo  y sus herederos lo llevó a ocupar ese rol de gobernante。 Si bien la historia es conocida， Anouilh da adelantos acerca de futuros acontecimientos en la historia: cuando introduce al mensajero agrega que éste  intervendrá más adelante para anunciar la muerte de Hemón。 Anouilh explica el conflicto entre Eteocles y Polinices con más detalles。 Los hermanos se alternaban en el poder hasta que uno se rehusó a ceder el trono， la guerra estalló y ambos murieron。 La escena entre Antígona y su niñera es un agregado a la historia。 Su cuidadora le reprocha haberse escapado por un amante oculto。 Antígona aclara que fue sólo a pasear sola para contemplar la noche。 Oculta su verdaderas razones。 Además el diálogo entre las hermanas acerca de la tarea de enterrar a su hermano también está más desarrollado。 Ismene intenta disuadir a su hermana y se reconoce cobarde para semejante tarea。 Ismene le reclama que ella es joven， hermosa y está pronta a casarse， no necesita problemas。Anouilh presenta episodios más cotidianos de la vida de la heroína: La conversación con su nana acerca de su perro o el momento del desayuno。 Las inseguridades de Antígona al querer corroborar con su novio si de verdad él no se equivocó al elegirla como su novia。 Las hermanas son diametralmente opuestas。 Antígona trata de adoptar las actitudes de coquetería de su hermana infructuosamente。 EL coro discurre acerca de lo que es la tragedia。 Los destinos de todos son conocidos y la esperanza no tiene un lugar ella。 Él coro hace una breve comparación entre la tragedia y el melodrama。 Anouilh rompe con la tradición clásica al introducir en esta reversión momentos cotidianos， diálogos superfluos y vanos como lo del perro y el intento de Antígona por ser coqueta y usar prendas y maquillaje que son más propios de su hermana。Antígona y Creonte conversan acercan de las leyes。 El rey exige obediencia de alguien que pertenece a la clase que hace las leyes。 Creonte reconoce que a pesar de su desobediencia， ella le sirve más viva que muerta。 El matrimonio con su hijo va a prolongar su progenie。 Ella rechaza su propuesta y exige su castigo。 Su actitud desafiante se mantiene aún después de saber que su hermano llevaba una vida disoluta y no respetaba a su padre。 El final no se cambia。 Antígona y Hemón mueren。  。。。more

I loved this retelling of Antigone for three things - 1。 The poetic language， it is beautiful， after all Anouilh wrote poetry as well。2。 The complexity， depth and ambiguity of characters， especially how Antigone and Creon were fleshed out。3。 It is funny， the explicit humour （like Polynices smoking a cigarette or the chorus stating "Mind you， Antigone doesn't know all these things about herself。 I know them because it is my business to knowthem。 That's what a Greek Chorus is for。"） and the implic I loved this retelling of Antigone for three things - 1。 The poetic language， it is beautiful， after all Anouilh wrote poetry as well。2。 The complexity， depth and ambiguity of characters， especially how Antigone and Creon were fleshed out。3。 It is funny， the explicit humour （like Polynices smoking a cigarette or the chorus stating "Mind you， Antigone doesn't know all these things about herself。 I know them because it is my business to knowthem。 That's what a Greek Chorus is for。"） and the implicit dark humour in the irony of the plot and sub-plots， everything is so well done。 4。5 stars！ 。。。more

Livre de cours de français qui change ！ Malgré que ce soit une tragédie ce livre était très agréable à lire et très court qui permet de le lire en à peine 1h。 Des personnes plutôt déroutants mais agréables。

I’m so excited to finally be posting a mini review of one of my favourite french plays， Antigone！ Antigone is a retelling of Sophocles’ Antigone from Ancient Greece， adapted by Jean Anouilh during World War II。 While the play is close to eighty years old now， it fits the current trend of retelling ancient myths and examining classics from a modern perspective。 The play follows Antigone as she attempts to bury her dead brother even though it’s against the laws of her uncle’s authoritarian regime。 I’m so excited to finally be posting a mini review of one of my favourite french plays， Antigone！ Antigone is a retelling of Sophocles’ Antigone from Ancient Greece， adapted by Jean Anouilh during World War II。 While the play is close to eighty years old now， it fits the current trend of retelling ancient myths and examining classics from a modern perspective。 The play follows Antigone as she attempts to bury her dead brother even though it’s against the laws of her uncle’s authoritarian regime。 As Antigone debates with her uncle the nature of happiness and freedom versus laws and order， the pair also explore the influence of nostalgia on memories from childhood。 I loved the contrast between the idealism of youth and the reality of adulthood through the young character of Antigone， as well as the idea of destiny （Antigone’s father is the famed Oedipus， so she feels that she must follow in his footsteps。）Antigone is a tragedy and despite knowing that all will not end well， Anouilh manages to suspend that to craft an amazing play。 In my opinion， the play reads very well， and I don’t think you necessarily have to see it performed to appreciate the writing， though of course the adaption on Youtube I watched was equally amazing。 Rating 5/5: The play is a short and a simple read， the characters all incredibly written。 If you ever have the chance to see Antigone in person （I wish I did！） I’d highly recommend it。 If not， I’d recommend the read for anyone who is a fan of Madeline Miller or the musical Hadestown！Blog | Instagram 。。。more

در این شاهکار، ساختار شکنی فضای کلاسیک نمایشنامه را مشاهده میکنیم。آنوی نمایشنامه آنتیگونه اثر سوفوکلس را کمی به ابزوردیسم سوق داده。می‌توان گفت این نمایشنامه پشت پرده‌ای برای نمایشنامه آنتیگونه است که در آن کمی ایمان به آرمان‌گرایی به سخره گرفته شده。برای خواندن این اثر ابتدا کتاب افسانه‌های تبای（شامل ۳ نمایشنامه ادیپوس شهریار/ ادیپوس در کلنوس/آنتیگونه） اثر سوفوکل ترجنه شاهرخ مسکوب（نشر خوارزمی） را مطالعه کنید。
