This is clearly just a Golden Book summary of the main plots of the Disney film by the same name。 As such much isn't added to the story that isn't already in the movie although surprisingly they did include a section that explained how Cinderella gave her name and there was also a bit more emphasis on her goodness， especially when taking into consideration how it would reflect on the more considered wickedness of the story's villains。 A Disney canon fact that intrigued me and where the book did This is clearly just a Golden Book summary of the main plots of the Disney film by the same name。 As such much isn't added to the story that isn't already in the movie although surprisingly they did include a section that explained how Cinderella gave her name and there was also a bit more emphasis on her goodness， especially when taking into consideration how it would reflect on the more considered wickedness of the story's villains。 A Disney canon fact that intrigued me and where the book didn't seem to look for justice was in the naming of the animals。 The major animal characters such as Gus， Jaq， Bruno and even bad Lucifer were all given the names that they had from the movie but poor Major， Cinderella's father's horse， was just named that old horse throughout the whole book。 Quite a bit sad that they couldn't have gotten that right。 The illustrations are basically taken straight from the film as well although with some color variations as most of these older Disney books are known for。 As such the dress is still within that conflicting silver/grayish blue color that lends itself to the first ever what color is that dress question。 Otherwise it is a decent book if you are only looking for a Disney variation of Cinderella instead of any one of the million other beautifully intriguing Cinderella variations that are out there。 。。。more

This book is about a young girl that lost her mother and her father remarried and she got a step mother and 2 step sisters。 The her father dies and she is left with her step mother and step sisters， who hates her。 They make her their maid。 That is until they go to the ball， she sneaks in and meets the princes and falls in love。 I think this book is perfect for kids ages 3-6。 I loved reading this book。 Fairytales have always been one of my favorite genres。

This is the Disney version of Cinderella in picture book form。 The drawings are all from the movie and the text is minimal。 It would be appropriate for a young reader or to be read aloud。

In this classic fairytale， there is a girl named cinderella who lives with her two ugly stepsisters。 She works for them and cleans all day long。 She goes on to attend a ball thanks to her fairy godmother and things start to turn out in her favor。 But will she make it back home by midnight？ This book has no diverse characters besides the animals。 I enjoyed this book because this story was one of my favorites as a kid。
