For me Twisted Games by Ana Huang was the book I expected the most this month。 A royal romance between the crown princess and her bodyguard。 I'm so happy the author didn't disappoint with the story。 If I thought Twisted Love was one of the best books I've read this year， words can't describe the perfection of Twisted Games。 We already met Bridget von Ascheberg and Rhys Larsen in the first book of this series， but there they were side characters。 Bridget was the perfect heroine that loved her fre For me Twisted Games by Ana Huang was the book I expected the most this month。 A royal romance between the crown princess and her bodyguard。 I'm so happy the author didn't disappoint with the story。 If I thought Twisted Love was one of the best books I've read this year， words can't describe the perfection of Twisted Games。 We already met Bridget von Ascheberg and Rhys Larsen in the first book of this series， but there they were side characters。 Bridget was the perfect heroine that loved her freedom she lived while she was second to the throne。 She is always so happy about the tiniest things in life we rarely notice， much less enjoy in them。 She was so passionate to maintain the friends she made while she lived in America and most of all I loved her loyalty to the people in her life。 When things changed and she became the crown princess， her life changed upside down， but she never backed down。 I loved her strength and determination to become the best queen she could be， and even if she wasn't prepared for the role， she was determined to be there for the people of her kingdom。 And Rhys。 Oh my god。 This character is from another world in my opinion。 He is so sarcastic and determined to take care of the princess， he tries to see as his client and nothing more。 He has his own rules and I lived the idea that he was ready to break them all for Bridget。 He was pretty grumpy all the time bat so possessive over Bridget on the other hand。 Even though he tried to hide it on many occasions， he has a heart of gold and can be really romantic。 I really loved this soft side of him。 I can't find the correct words to describe how much I loved him throughout the whole story！ The chemistry between the main characters was palpable from page one but they managed to resist it for quite a time。 The steamy scenes were really hot and so well written。 This book for me is the best book I've read this year。 If you are a romance reader， this book is a MUST READ for you！ 。。。more

and live a life free of politics and royal responsibilities， and she is living the life of a ‘normal’ college girl， except that she is constantly trailed by a bodyguard。 While her previous bodyguard felt like part of the family， her new bodyguard， Rhys Larsen， is a gruff and serious ex-military man with very firm ideas of what Bridget can and can’t do。 It’s immediately a recipe for disaster。 Rhys is cold and emotionally closed off， but it’s a hangover from his training and is how he deals with life。 His strict rules and stoic demeanour grate on the freedom-loving young princess， and the snark and sarcasm fly as they clash over and over again。 But underneath it all， there is a strong attraction that takes both of them by surprise。 They feel it instantly， but they know they can’t do anything about it so they both just ignore it as much as they can。 Doesn’t mean they’re not still thinking about it though。 She wanted it as much as I did。 I could hear it in her ragged breaths， see it in the way she looked at me， feel it in the slight arch of her body against mine。 Apparently I wasn’t the only one riding high on anger and adrenaline。 This book has the feel of a delicious slow burn。 Even though they don’t act on their feelings， you can feel it building underneath all of that snark， and the sexual tension is insane！ I was reading with so much excitement and anticipation， and reveled in every moment of their back and forth as the chemistry sizzles。 I was protective of all my clients， but this was different。 More visceral。 Part of me wanted to push her far away from me， and another part wanted to drag her into my arms and keep her as mine。 Things take a twist when Bridget’s brother， the Crown Prince， abdicates the throne for love， placing Bridget as next in line， and she is suddenly thrust back into royal life。 She is under more scrutiny now than she ever has been， and hiding her feelings for the man assigned to protect her is harder than ever。 A small smile touched Rhys’s lips。 “I always knew you would make a great queen。”“I’m not queen yet。”“You don’t need a crown to be queen， princess。” The build-up is fantastic， and I was feeling so much for these two。 And when they finally give in to their feelings， oh my freaking God。 The intensity between Rhys and Bridget is insane， and the sexy times is off-the-charts hot。 Rhys has a bit of a dominant streak， he’s a filthy talker and he knows exactly what he wants。 Thankfully， Bridget is right on board， and the connection between the two of them is visceral。 “There’s not much in the world I want to claim as mine。 I’ve seen and done too much shit in my life to believe in forever。 But you…” He grasped my chin with his free hand。 “You belong to me。 I don’t give a fuck what a law or anyone else says。 You are mine。” And it’s not just sex。 The bond they have formed goes way beyond the physical， and I love the way that we got to see the emotion between them develop the harder and deeper they fall for each other。 “Careful， Mr Larsen， or I’ll think you actually like me。”His mouth curled into a grin。 “Baby， we’re way beyond like。” But they are forbidden。 And not only that， the future Queen needs a husband， and he needs to be of noble birth。 Their situation is impossible， and their relationship could rock the monarchy。 But what will they be willing to sacrifice to keep each other？ “I can’t stay away from you。 Even when you’re not there， you’re everywhere。 In my head， in my lungs， in my fucking soul。” I freaking loved this story。 It sucked me in from the first page， and I was captivated the whole way through。 I felt so much for these characters， I loved their snark， banter and teasing， I loved their physical attraction and the way they gave themselves over to it， and I loved the depth of their emotion。 It’s all so intense， and though it took a little while， I love how they held nothing back from each other。 Their romance absolutely owned my heart。 Bridget’s friends all make an appearance。 I loved seeing Ava and Alex （from book #1） again， and the set-ups are now firmly in place for the next two books。 I am loving this series， and the intensity of these love stories， and I had to sit on this book for a couple of days before writing this review because it was such a beautiful wild ride I had to think about it。 This is one of the best books I read this year and it's definitely going in the comfort reads pile。 If you liked Twisted Love， this is definitely a read for you。 The first book in the series was a great read， but this is better for sure。The story follows Bridget as she finds herself Crown Princess of Eldorra， and tries to accept the fact that she can't pret I had to sit on this book for a couple of days before writing this review because it was such a beautiful wild ride I had to think about it。 This is one of the best books I read this year and it's definitely going in the comfort reads pile。 If you liked Twisted Love， this is definitely a read for you。 The first book in the series was a great read， but this is better for sure。The story follows Bridget as she finds herself Crown Princess of Eldorra， and tries to accept the fact that she can't pretend to be another "normal basic girl" anymore and Rhys， her new bodyguard， who believes life has nothing good to offer。I really liked how realistic the timing and the plot was， well as realistic as a princess x bodyguard story can be， how their relationship grew slow and steady， how they were willing to sacrifice their own wellbeing for the other's。I really cannot wait to read the next books in the series， it ought to be outstanding！I received this book as a ARC from Hidden Gems for an honest review。 。。。more

Yet another fantastic book from Ana。 I loved the first book in this series and was wondering how she could top it。 Well I can let you know that she 100% did。 Rhys and Bridget are fantastic。 This book was a great read and highly suggest anyone who like romance novels to grab this and you won’t put it down until you finish。 Ana has quickly claimed a spot on my “buy anything she writes” list。 The characters she writes feel so real and well rounded， almost as if I know these people。

*ARC provided for an honest review！*Twisted Games is the second book in the Twisted Series。 While this book is a standalone， I feel that in order to gain a richer view of this book， you should read Twisted Love first。I’d like to start by saying that I LOVED Twisted Love。 I devoured it in record time and was really excited for the second book。 While I like Bridget and Rhys’s story， there was something off about the pacing in this one。 I found myself really having to push through much of the first *ARC provided for an honest review！*Twisted Games is the second book in the Twisted Series。 While this book is a standalone， I feel that in order to gain a richer view of this book， you should read Twisted Love first。I’d like to start by saying that I LOVED Twisted Love。 I devoured it in record time and was really excited for the second book。 While I like Bridget and Rhys’s story， there was something off about the pacing in this one。 I found myself really having to push through much of the first part。 I mean， I like a slow burn， but there was something about the way the first quarter of the book went over events that had happened in book one as being a bit lackluster。 Sometimes I felt it was a bit repetitive， but in the same vein had I not read book one， I don’t know if I would’ve really cared about what was happening。 “Ours was a story destined for a tragic ending， but when you were already on a train headed off the cliff， all you could do was hold on tight and make every second count” However， as soon as the story moved past the events in book one， I WAS HOOKED。 I felt as though I was really getting a chance to know these characters and fall in love with them。 I also want to add that this book was HOT。 Rhys is everything you want in a possessive hero。 I found myself getting flustered every time he started talking dirty。I also felt as though in book two was when Ana Huang’s prose really started to become gorgeous。 We are met with such lines like this， “…if I could tattoo myself onto her skin， bury myself into her heart， and etch myself onto her soul， I would。” Like are you kidding me？ It’s just so beautiful。 You can really see the growth in her writing in this book。All in all， if you can push past the slow pace in part one， this book is COMPLETELY worth it。 。。。more
