Summary

Hans Christian Andersen （1805-1875） est passé à la postérité comme l'un des grands classiques de la littérature pour la jeunesse。 Pourtant， si flatteuse qu'elle soit， cette image est nettement réductrice。 La présente anthologie se propose de la compléter， voire de la corriger。
On y trouvera bien sûr les contes les plus célèbres - La Petite Sirène， Le Vilain Petit Canard， La Princesse sur le pois， par exemple - qui， depuis plus d'un siècle et demi， enchantent les enfants du monde entier。 Mais on y trouvera également des récits plus intimes où， sous le voile de la fiction， Andersen révèle sa conception de l'existence （Une histoire des dunes， Le vent raconte l'histoire de Valdemar Daae et de ses filles）， développe ses réflexions personnelle sur la « question sociale » （Chaque chose à sa place， Le Jardinier et ses maîtres） ou dit son admiration pour le Progrès （Le Grand Serpent de mer， La Goutte d'eau）。 Quelle que soit la gravité du sujet， on y retrouve la même vivacité et le même humour。

I've read a few of the tales in this book as they're mixed in with other stories in the various Fairy Books by Andrew Lang， which I've been working my way through recently。 I hadn't really noticed how different they are in nature compared with other fairy tales until I read this collection。 They feel much more deliberate， with a lot more description and individual characters。 Though Andersen's fairy tales differ from other stories falling under that name， I still enjoyed them and will read more I've read a few of the tales in this book as they're mixed in with other stories in the various Fairy Books by Andrew Lang， which I've been working my way through recently。 I hadn't really noticed how different they are in nature compared with other fairy tales until I read this collection。 They feel much more deliberate， with a lot more description and individual characters。 Though Andersen's fairy tales differ from other stories falling under that name， I still enjoyed them and will read more of them （this collection only contains a few of his stories）。 。。。more

Un libro lleno de historias macabras y teneboras。 Una hermosa obra， que además esta acompañada de ilustraciones magníficas， ame cada una de ellas， son oscuras y a la vez hermosas。 Sin duda un montón de cuentos clásicos que todos deberían leer， si muchos tienen finales siper tristes pero valen completamente la pena。

4/5 estrellas。 La verdad le daría las 5 estrellas sino fuera por qué algunos cuentos sentía que el final me lo quitaron， terminaron muy cortados o no entendí del todo el mensaje。Fuera de eso， Andersen a sido mi cuentista favorito en lo que llevo explorando este género literario。 Su forma de escribir y su narrativa es tan bien lograda y orgánica que te transporta a la historia de una manera sumamente fácil。Sus cuentos aunque tienen toques religiosos （y hay que plantearse la época y el lugar de do 4/5 estrellas。 La verdad le daría las 5 estrellas sino fuera por qué algunos cuentos sentía que el final me lo quitaron， terminaron muy cortados o no entendí del todo el mensaje。Fuera de eso， Andersen a sido mi cuentista favorito en lo que llevo explorando este género literario。 Su forma de escribir y su narrativa es tan bien lograda y orgánica que te transporta a la historia de una manera sumamente fácil。Sus cuentos aunque tienen toques religiosos （y hay que plantearse la época y el lugar de donde provienen） no te tratan de adoctrinar ni mucho menos， ya que solamente te quiere ayudar a reforzar los buenos valores que como seres humanos y sociedad deberíamos tener más presentes。Sus cuentos aunque algunos más "rudos" y "crueles" ya que tratan temas como la muerte， la conciencia， la pobreza， la empatía， el egocentrismo y la avaricia， entre otros。 Te los toca de una forma muy fácil de comprender， que aún a estos días， te mueven algo al leerlos。Ahora una mini opinión en individual de cada cuento de esta edición:Los Zapatos Rojos: Te narra la vida de una niña muy desventurada que por obras del destino le brindan una segunda oportunidad， ya que en su relato por la vanidad suele olvidar sus orígenes y humildad hasta que llega el clímax y el mensaje del cuento。 3/5 estrellas。La Sirenita: Se que pensarán ¿Por qué alguien se iría con un tipo que apenas conoce y deja todo atrás？ Bueno， no lo se y no es algo que con o sin el cuento no suceda， pero el mensaje no es ese， sino la importancia de perdonar， tanto a uno mismo como a los demás， soltar y dejar ir las cosas y así encontrar la felicidad en uno mismo y viendo felices a los demás。 4/5 estrellas。El Patito Feo: De los cuentos las crueles de este libro， pero que al final te muestra que en algún punto encontrarás a tu verdadero yo y es ahí cuando resurgiras。 Las cosas no suelen ser fáciles y no es lo mejor dejarse pisotear， pero el camino hacia uno mismo es el más difícil。 3。5/5 estrellas。Historia de una Madre: Este sin duda es el cuento más triste pero con una gran lección， el amor de una buena madre va más allá de todo， pero por lo mismo de ser una buena madre， la empatía hacia otras madres prevalece y es ahí donde está el mensaje que no revelare， por qué vale mucho leer este cuento。 5/5 estrellas。El Traje Nuevo del Emperador: Bueno este cuento es corto y te muestra como la gente puede ser muy tonta con tal de aparentar no serlo， que las apariencias son lo que más le importa a muchas personas y al final no sabes si vale la pena y nunca falta el truhán que se querrá aprovechar de eso。 4/5 estrellasLa Princesa del Guisante: Aquí es donde empecé con los cuentos "cortados" la verdad este cuento solo me sirvió de entretenimiento， no pude ver el mensaje， si es que lo hay。 3/5 estrellas。El Soldadito de Plomo: Este era el cuento que más ganas tenía de leer， ya que al menos las versiones infantiles que llegue a escuchar me encantaban。 Me decepciono un poco， pues siento que faltó un poco más de contexto o un final final， el cuento termino sin dame cuenta。 Pero si pude percibir que el mensaje， aunque muy por encima es de que no te rindas y perseveres。 3。5/5 estrellas。La Vendedora de Fósforos: Este es un cuento un poco agridulce。 No tengo mucho que decir， el cuento es corto y realmente es muy bonito， nos toca el tema de la pobreza y como algo tan sencillo puede hacerte feliz。 4。5/5 estrellas。El Último Día: Este cuento nos narra cómo es el último aliento de las personas y todo lo pasa antes de llegar al descanso eterno， sobre las conciencias limpias， puras y las no tanto， la verdad es un cuento para reflexionar。 Eso sí， aunque tiene muchos toques religiosos， aún que tú hagas de lado eso， el mensaje está ahí， así que no afecta en nada que creencias tengas o no。 4/5 estrellas。El Cerro de los Elfos: A este honestamente la verdad es que no le entendí y se me hizo muy superfluo， aunque no deja de ser entretenido。 2/5 estrellas。El Compañero de Viaje: Este cuento se podría decir que es el más oscuro y tenebroso， pero que al final la luz sale a relucir。 De una maneja entretenida te cuenta que ser amable y empaticos te traerá tarde o temprano cosas buenas a tu vida。 5/5 estrellas。El Ruiseñor: Este si no se qué decir， es un cuento muy lindo y entretenido pero no logró captar aún cuál es el mensaje de tal， pero la historia es linda。 3。5/5 estrellas。 。。。more

Finally finished the book！ A lot of classic stories and lovely animations。 Some stories were very tedious to read but it was nice to read about his life and events in his life which inspired certain stories。
