Super cute， but maybe a little too quick？ I felt like the only character I really had enough time to love was Wendell， as for Marjorie， I didn’t quite root for her in the same way。 Maybe the second graphic novel will do the trick？ Sheets is a good chaser to a sad book， it’ll make you happy。

The art was so beautiful， and the story was heartwarming。 I know what it’s like to have a parent that can’t be around because of their grief or depression。 However， I will admit that the pace was weird; I had this constantly feeling like my book had missing pages （it didn’t）。 It didn’t feel cohesive so there were times I was a little confused to how we got to that point in the story。 Overall， 3。5 stars！

3。5 starsI loved the artwork。 It’s so beautiful even with the odd way the author draws faces （says the girl can’t draw to save her life）。 Truly though， the art makes the book。 The story could have used some more development。 The bones are very clearly there but the resolution came very quickly and the way it arrived was a little contrived。Apparently there’s a second book coming so I’m definitely interested in seeing how the story continues because this one left me wanting。
