Summary

Harper has a secret。。。and it's not that she likes girls。 She has a rare gift: she can see how old other people will be when they die。 Nothing she does changes this number, and that becomes especially clear when her mother dies in a car crash。 With only one other person in the world who knows about and shares her gift, Harper is determined to keep her distance from everyone。 Then she falls for Chloe。。。 whose number is 16。That means that Chloe doesn't have twelve months to live。 She doesn't even have six。She is going to be dead by the end of the summer, unless Harper can find a way to stop it。

Loved it! I have to admit, I was a little hesitant about reading this book given the premise。 But man, I’m so glad I did。 Absolutely loved it。

It's beautifully written and complex。 I identified so much with Harper's feelings, I tried to keep my heart away from Chloe, but couldn't because she's charming, funny, and a great person。 Harper's situation is terrible, I don't know what I would do if I knew when people would die。 It's beautifully written and complex。 I identified so much with Harper's feelings, I tried to keep my heart away from Chloe, but couldn't because she's charming, funny, and a great person。 Harper's situation is terrible, I don't know what I would do if I knew when people would die。 。。。more

Holy shit。 New favorite。She can see the age people die and falls in love with a girl that only has until the end of summer。 Does she stay away in an effort to protect herself, or does she give this girl the best summer ever?- Sapphic (not best friends to lovers!)- Fantasy/magic vibe yet very realistic- Making the most of a shitty situation

this was really cute。 aside from the obviously supernatural element because of harper’s ability, this was just a book about two teenage girls falling in love over a summer。 the plot wasn’t incredibly complicated but that worked in its favour, in my opinion。 and harper’s ability provided just enough angst to keep some tension in a perfect summer romance。

between the instalove and one of the characters literally stating that her conntinuing to flirt and pressure another girl into being with her wasn't creepy because she's a girl, not to mention the hefty "not like other girls" vibe。。。。I wanted to like this, lord knows I did but it was mostly a meh between the instalove and one of the characters literally stating that her conntinuing to flirt and pressure another girl into being with her wasn't creepy because she's a girl, not to mention the hefty "not like other girls" vibe。。。。I wanted to like this, lord knows I did but it was mostly a meh 。。。more

this is one of the best sapphic romances i have ever read ! I heard a lot of people saying this was really sad and they have a good point, but also, I spent the whole book with this big smile hopeful smile on my face。 This book made me sincerely happy。 The romance was pure, and easy, and light and simple。 I also love the message of this book and how many people need to hear it。“Have you ever considered the fact that maybe the goal of life isn’t to get through it as painlessly as possible?” I lov this is one of the best sapphic romances i have ever read ! It made me so hopeful and happy and grateful。 I know many think it was resolved too easily, but I found it pretty perfect。 Also, when Harper was saying "Please give her more time。 Give her some of my years。 She wants it more than anyone。" I was completely broken, I was willing to donate some of my years in her honor too! “Life would go on with or without Chloe Stephens, after all。 It waited for no one。 It never had。” THIS BOOK。 THE MESSAGE, THE ENDING— EVERYTHING WAS WHAT A BOOK SHOULD BE。 It was definitely better than I expected and I’m so happy that I started April off with this gem。 ❤️

GoodReadLoved the queer story that didn’t just focus on sexuality。 A story about healing。 The concept was unique and beautifully written。

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This book is really sweet but at the same time is kinda cheese and bad。 For moments I felt like I was reading "They both died at the end", but a really bad copy of it。 I mean, from the begining we know that Chloe "dies", but the construction of the plot and character was mediocre。 And even that gets messed up at the end, like wtf was that cliche ending? An ok young lesbian romance with the twist that Harper sees when people are going to die by numbers on their foreheads only she (and a workmate) can see, so when she falls for the new girl in her neighbourhood but sees she is to die soon, she must deal with it。 I have enjoyed Siera Maley's books previously, this was not her best。 An ok young lesbian romance with the twist that Harper sees when people are going to die by numbers on their foreheads only she (and a workmate) can see, so when she falls for the new girl in her neighbourhood but sees she is to die soon, she must deal with it。 I have enjoyed Siera Maley's books previously, this was not her best。 。。。more
