If you enjoyed the first book, you WILL enjoy this one。 Really interesting progression in the story and interesting new characters。 Highly recommend the series, each book adds something and leads to a bigger overall plot line。

So terrible。 How was this a NYT best seller? The timeline is so disjointed, characterization is inconsistent at best, and the important details to drive the plot forward are sprinkled in haphazardly。 Messy。

Love the twist! Did not see it coming at all。

Real score 3。14。 I thought I remembered liking the first book better but I only gave it 3 stars too, and no real score。 There is something Bella-and-Edward that annoys me about the whole thing。 And in a way I see the potential of the whole angel, fallen v arch, and angel v nephlim that is intriguing but just isn’t working。 I wish I liked it more。

I know I would be loving these books so much more if I had read them when I was younger。 They're still good but I know I would have rated these a good 4-5 stars if I read them as they came out。 I know I would be loving these books so much more if I had read them when I was younger。 They're still good but I know I would have rated these a good 4-5 stars if I read them as they came out。 。。。more

I have very similar feelings about this book as I did about the first one。 I’ve had these books on my bookshelf since starting high school (so like 5 or 6 years) and i’ve tried to read the series multiple times over the years and i’ve never gotten past this book。 I always quit reading cause the beginning is so boring and stupid。 It’s all very difficult to enjoy, and high school romancy。 This year I decided to finally read them once and for all cause i’ve had them for so long it’s getting ridicul I have very similar feelings about this book as I did about the first one。 I’ve had these books on my bookshelf since starting high school (so like 5 or 6 years) and i’ve tried to read the series multiple times over the years and i’ve never gotten past this book。 I always quit reading cause the beginning is so boring and stupid。 It’s all very difficult to enjoy, and high school romancy。 This year I decided to finally read them once and for all cause i’ve had them for so long it’s getting ridiculous。 Once the plot finally picked up I found it more enjoyable, and quite similar, in terms of enjoyment, (and plot。。。 don’t even get me started right now i’m trying to be spoiler free) to the first book。 Overall, this book series is a good example of why YA is sometimes hard to love once you’re older than 15。。。 BUT guilty pleasure characters exist and Patch is definitely one of mine :) 。。。more

I don’t know how the authors was able to make me hate every single character in the first half of the book, but here we are。 As I read this book, I found it kind of ofputting how many plot holes there were。 Like there were many instances where huge events would happen and yet some characters seemed to have no reaction to these traumatic events。 And yet will all the criticism I have for this book, I still have to give it a high rating for how entertaining this read was。

this series is just *chef’s kiss* i don’t know why i still haven’t read the last one yet。 patch has my heart!!

I don't know how to feel about this second part of the saga! Nora really pissed me off, she was so immature in so many levels, she was possessive and definitely the toxic one with Patch。It was hard for me to feel this book, it was until the last 60 pages where I felt it got interesting, the last chapter gave me goosebumps and made it all better, I do want to continue with the third part I don't know how to feel about this second part of the saga! This is probably the best of the 4 book series。 A decent read, but not something I expect to read again any time soon if ever。

Still wanting to do a full series review in the last book but wanted to share a few thoughts on this。 Again, another quick read that kept me hooked wondering who was after Nora AGAIN?! Although, Nora did tend to get under my skin and annoy me at times- especially the whole Patch & Marcie thing。。。。 but all in all another enjoyable read。

Jair

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Okay, so Nora following Patch round like a dog even after they broke up became annoying pretty quickly。 She was claiming to be taking the 'high road' all the time then making the most immature decisions。 Also the fight scenes with Marcie weren't great。 I kinda feel the dialogue between characters falls flat for me。 The twist was obvious, but it wasn't terrible。 I actually am kinda enjoying the books - I mean the plot if kinda a mess but I don't mind it。 The writing is nice and easy to get into。 Okay, so Nora following Patch round like a dog even after they broke up became annoying pretty quickly。 She was claiming to be taking the 'high road' all the time then making the most immature decisions。 Also the fight scenes with Marcie weren't great。 I kinda feel the dialogue between characters falls flat for me。 The twist was obvious, but it wasn't terrible。 I actually am kinda enjoying the books - I mean the plot if kinda a mess but I don't mind it。 The writing is nice and easy to get into。 But in comparison to other series of this type I don't think this matches up。 Defo continuing with it though。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 against my better judgement this book is so good。 personally ik many friends that tell me this was their least fav book outta the series。 honestly i stand to differ。 don't get me wrong it isn't as good as the first book in the series, but it is really good。 the fact that patch kissed marcie did kinda piss me off but i see why the author included that, it was needed。 before u cancel me, i swear PATCH AND NORA FOREVER but the book needed some rivalry and Marcie really sold the job。 the way everyth against my better judgement this book is so good。 personally ik many friends that tell me this was their least fav book outta the series。 honestly i stand to differ。 don't get me wrong it isn't as good as the first book in the series, but it is really good。 the fact that patch kissed marcie did kinda piss me off but i see why the author included that, it was needed。 before u cancel me, i swear PATCH AND NORA FOREVER but the book needed some rivalry and Marcie really sold the job。 the way everything played out in the end was absolutely stunning in my opinion。 it was a perfect way to not only keep it cute but leave the readers on a cliff hanger。 like PATCH TOLD HER HE LOVED HER THAN BOOM HANK COMES LIKE WHATTTTTT。 this novel has soooooo much and i actually really loved it a lot。 like who the heck thought Rixon would be the killer of nora's father。 eeekkkkk excited to finish the series but i'm a bit scared on whats gonna happen next!!!
