This book was throughly enjoyable， and brought to light the impact others have on others that may seem taken for granted， but are not。 As a kid reading this I believe this book could put into perspective this idea and a kid friendly way。 The pictures were also delicate， not too much for the idea。

this was my first tine hearing about this book， after I did some more research I learned this a classic and fan favorite。 I really enjoyed reading this book， it made me relate it other books I have read that were similar to it （ the Madagascar movies/ books）。 this story was very sweet to read the relationship Mr。 Mcgee had with the animals made me really enjoy reading it。
