4，5。 This was fun， though I wasn’t into the girls as I was with Futaro。 He is funny and awkward， despite of all that， he reminded Araragi from the monogatari series but with less charisma。 As for the girls I didn’t feel anything in particular by them。 Hope this changes after volume 2， the art style was gorgeous btw。

Sooo， I have VERY conflicting feelings about this volume。Okay， let's address the obvious: all of the girls， with the exception of Miku and Yotsuba， are either unlikable at best or FUCKING OBNOXIOUS at worst。 For real， Nino drugs Futaro to scare him out of being their tutor。 First and foremost， WHY IS NINO'S FIRST INSTINCT TO DRUG FUTARO？！ I'm not being sarcastic or funny， I seriously want to know WHY her first thought when confronted with a tutor IS TO DRUG HIM？！ What the fuck has gone on in her Sooo， I have VERY conflicting feelings about this volume。Okay， let's address the obvious: all of the girls， with the exception of Miku and Yotsuba， are either unlikable at best or FUCKING OBNOXIOUS at worst。 For real， Nino drugs Futaro to scare him out of being their tutor。 First and foremost， WHY IS NINO'S FIRST INSTINCT TO DRUG FUTARO？！ I'm not being sarcastic or funny， I seriously want to know WHY her first thought when confronted with a tutor IS TO DRUG HIM？！ What the fuck has gone on in her life up to this point that she's totally okay with drugging someone？！ And the fact that her sisters just ACCEPT this is mind-boggling to me （okay， Itsuki did make sure he got home safe， but she effectively condoned Nino's actions）。 As for the others， Ichika's kind of annoying and Itsuki's standoffish， but they're not super terrible。 Just really generic and boring， but I'm hoping they'll be flushed out more in later volumes。As for Futaro， I honestly don't mind him that much。 Yes， he's a massive dick， but the other girls （aside from Yotsuba and Miku） are assholes as well， so I don't think it's fair to expect him to be super nice when they're actively rude or disrespectful towards him。 I feel like this has the potential to be a "group of assholes learn to be less asshole-ish" story and quite frankly， as long as it's done well， I don't mind。What I am hoping and praying this series does more than anything， though， is have a semi-serious discussion on classism。 I'm not asking for scholarly levels of discussion here， this is a harem series after all， but I at least want classism and wealth disparities brought up and discussed。 I think it could make for interesting conflict and character growth， not to mention that I get the feeling part of the reason why the girls act the way they do is in part because they're rich。 Again， not asking for a lot， just some discussion on the topic。Wrapping up this rant review， do I recommend this first volume？ Honestly， I'm not sure。 In terms of a start to a series， this first volume doesn't really put its best foot forward。 I feel like it relies on the girls looking cute （which they do） to keep readers invested since most of them are difficult to like。 Also， the main character is kind of a dick by harem protagonist standards， so that doesn't really help in the series' favor。 That being said， there's certainly enough drama to at least keep some readers （like me） invested enough to continue on to volume 2。 In a nutshell， I'd say give it a shot since it does have some redeeming qualities， but I won't fault you for not liking it。 。。。more

Pas grand chose à dire sur le tome 1， l’histoire est bien。 mais je trouve que les 5 filles sont mal introduite fin c’est trop 5 en même temps donc on beug un peu， mais à la fin du tome on commence à s’y habituer， j’ai hâte de lire la suite。 L’histoire est trop et légère。

Futaro Uesugi meets Itsuki Nanako during lunch time， they both have bad first impression of each other， but when Futaro learns that he will be tutoring the Nanako quintuplet sisters - Ichika， Nino， Miku， Yotsuba， and Itsuki， he tries to get on their good side。I liked the part where Futaro tries to befriend Miku， I thought it was very funny。 But a set back for me would be that I didn't know the names and faces of the quintuplets， I haven't watched the anime yet， it confused me so much that I prob Futaro Uesugi meets Itsuki Nanako during lunch time， they both have bad first impression of each other， but when Futaro learns that he will be tutoring the Nanako quintuplet sisters - Ichika， Nino， Miku， Yotsuba， and Itsuki， he tries to get on their good side。I liked the part where Futaro tries to befriend Miku， I thought it was very funny。 But a set back for me would be that I didn't know the names and faces of the quintuplets， I haven't watched the anime yet， it confused me so much that I probably need to read this again before reading the next one。I do recommend this if you already know their names and faces to avoid confusion。 But other than that， it was a fun read。 。。。more

Decided to start reading this series after seeing a bunch of posts about there being a season 2 of the anime。Not sure how to feel about any of the sisters just yet but I admire Uesugi’s will to keep trying to tutor them so his family gets out of debt。 I’m curious to know what happens in the 2nd volume due to the awkward cliffhanger ending of this volume。

One boy is hired to help five sisters study well enough to pass their classes。 What could go wrong？Fuutarou Uesugi is a good student but his family is poor so when his father suggests that his son offers his services as a tutor to wipe out the family debt he decides to go for it。 What he did not expect is the job that would pay 5 times a normal tutors pay is because his student is actually 5 sisters and each of them are different as can be。 Even worse before he even knows who his students are he One boy is hired to help five sisters study well enough to pass their classes。 What could go wrong？Fuutarou Uesugi is a good student but his family is poor so when his father suggests that his son offers his services as a tutor to wipe out the family debt he decides to go for it。 What he did not expect is the job that would pay 5 times a normal tutors pay is because his student is actually 5 sisters and each of them are different as can be。 Even worse before he even knows who his students are he already got off on the wrong foot with one of them so he has to use that brain of his to figure out how to unlock their minds before he ends up failing his job and the one chance to save his family financially。What I find interesting about this book is before we even see how he got involved with the quintuplets we see him and one of the sisters in wedding attire as he reflects back to the beginning were the story starts。 Unless he is hallucinating this pretty much tells us he becomes so close to one of the girls that he will marry them。 I can imagine with such a range of character types that those who become fans will read on in hopes that their best girl will hopefully be chosen。 Only time will tell who will become the bride and who will be stuck as a bride's maid。 :） 。。。more
