Love this fresh take on Tarot with a wide variety of representation。 But one has to keep in mind that the Tarot works with archetypes and the traditional male *archetype* is missing from this deck。 This deck should be renamed the Modern Intersectional Feminist Tarot。 Otherwise a great deck with honest energy。

I love this deck。 The images are so well done, interesting, and appealing to a young, modern audience! I don't mind at all that the deck is all women, as there are still multiple kinds of masculinity and femininity present。 My one real complaint is that the deck is too thick for me to be able to shuffle it comfortably --I have to break it into two parts and shuffle them separately, and find a way to shuffle the parts together。 That's the only reason I haven't given it 5 stars。 I love this deck。 The images are so well done, interesting, and appealing to a young, modern audience! Let me start by writing a little about my Tarot journey。 Tarot changed my life when I started getting into it around a year and a half ago。 I was going through a pretty tough moment in my life and Tarot (and therapy) was what got me into a much safer space。 Since then I've completely changed the way I see life, and I can truly say I'm a different person now。My first Tarot deck wasn't the Rider-Waite, but it did follow the system, and I also studied both at the same time (it was easier to search Let me start by writing a little about my Tarot journey。 Tarot changed my life when I started getting into it around a year and a half ago。 I was going through a pretty tough moment in my life and Tarot (and therapy) was what got me into a much safer space。 Since then I've completely changed the way I see life, and I can truly say I'm a different person now。My first Tarot deck wasn't the Rider-Waite, but it did follow the system, and I also studied both at the same time (it was easier to search for RW meanings and my Tarot deck also had some similarities)。 Months later I actually started reading the Tarot for people and even teaching it; that's when I actually got a Rider-Waite deck that I used for that。But, to be honest, even though the RW is the one I reach for when reading for other people (and teaching, of course), it's not a deck I usually use for myself。 I own several other decks that speak to me in a deeper level, so when I saw the Modern Witch Tarot, it was not one I felt drawn to。For months I didn't care for it (and all the buzz around it made me even less interested in it), but lately something changed。 Maybe I changed。 Suddenly I started looking for reviews, flip-throughs, I learned of the artist and creator behind the deck, how it all started and it suddenly clicked for me。 I wanted it (lol)。And I'm so glad I listened to my gut!! I absolutely love this deck。 I haven't been working with it for long, but the messages sound loud and clear, the artwork is stunning, and I love how inclusive and modern it is。 It's perfect for someone who wants to work with the Rider-Waite but doesn't really feel called to it (like myself!)。I think this would be a great deck for beginners, but it also brought me something I've been searching for in a Tarot deck without knowing。I already see myself using this deck a lot。 Thank you, Lisa Sterle! 。。。more

I've had this deck for a while now, and it's slowly becoming my everyday deck。 The cards are so beautiful, feminine, and diverse。 I connected with it from the moment that I saw it, and I really love how the cards are a variation of the rider-waite deck, so they share traits with them and are easy to learn with, but they are much easier for me to connect with and relate to, as I've never felt very connected with the traditional rider-waite deck。 This version is not as intimidating, so really good I've had this deck for a while now, and it's slowly becoming my everyday deck。 The cards are so beautiful, feminine, and diverse。 I connected with it from the moment that I saw it, and I really love how the cards are a variation of the rider-waite deck, so they share traits with them and are easy to learn with, but they are much easier for me to connect with and relate to, as I've never felt very connected with the traditional rider-waite deck。 This version is not as intimidating, so really good for beginners。 The little instructional book that it comes with is very helpful, giving an interpretation of the cards while leaving room for you to come up with your own interpretations as well。 That's something that's very important to me。 The deck also comes with two extra cards, one that's just a little affirmation from the creator, and one that's an alternate version to the ten of swords。 I've seen some people complain that the deck does not have a balanced enough energy, with primarily femme leaning people on each card, and not enough masculine energy, but this hasn't bothered me。 Can't recommend this deck enough, especially for an everyday deck! 。。。more

Representation matters。 Love to see this take on the traditional tarot。 Very refreshing。

This is a great deck in the tradition of the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck but with more modern representation。 The cards all show women, in modern clothing, in beautiful if somewhat overly bright colors。 This would be a great deck to start with since it has all the symbolism of the RWS deck。 It’s pretty much the exact same images with a modern twist。

The images are very beautifully drawn and the symbolism is quite good, but the card stock is sadly way too thick so it's extremely hard to shuffle them。 The images are very beautifully drawn and the symbolism is quite good, but the card stock is sadly way too thick so it's extremely hard to shuffle them。 。。。more
