Summary

It's eat or be eaten。。。 literally!

Joined By Shuro's and Kabru's parties, the group has swelled in size, making for triple the mouths to feed! Food is scarce on the lower levels, but even so, the newcomers aren't quite the adventurous eaters Laios and his party have become。 Their disgust turns to rage when Laios reveals the forbidden magic used to revive Falin—and Falin, in her shocking new form, reveals herself。 If word gets out, the consequences for Laios and his friends will be terrible, but that's only if they make it out of this dungeon!

Well, the search for Falin continues as our nave team moves to the next level of the dungeon。 They also face a couple new issues when they get trapped in a tunnel with a bunch of mimics and can’t tell which version of themselves are the real ones! More cooking and a less than enthusiastic addition to their team round out this volume。 Plus Laios takes a walk through Marcille’s dreams to save her from Nightmares。

I love this series of manga。 The dreams mentioned in this one especially interest me。

Finally got around to continuing this series, which I was really loving for the first five volumes。 For some reason, the charm felt a little bit tarnished in this volume。 I still enjoyed it, especially the part with the dopplegangers, but nevertheless I felt less attached to the story I guess。 I didn't like that one of the characters was changed into a chimera。。。 I wasn't such a big fan of the new group from Japan。。。 I don't know。 Maybe it was just an off day when I read it! Well, this volume took a huge turn。 I don't know how long this series is meant to be, but this volume opens some pretty wide doors and creates all sorts of new problems。 I enjoyed the series with the shapeshifters and Laios trying to tell his companions apart the most。 Well, this volume took a huge turn。 I don't know how long this series is meant to be, but this volume opens some pretty wide doors and creates all sorts of new problems。 I enjoyed the series with the shapeshifters and Laios trying to tell his companions apart the most。 。。。more

Well。 That was an interesting series of events。 Some interesting twists on different creatures and tropes。 Not my favorite in the series, but still good。

This volume marked a shift for this series from a food and travelogue to a fantasy epic with an endgame in mind。 The essence of Dungeon Meshi, of the delicious in a dungeon is still there, but much care is taken in setting up subplots and introducing additional characters to increase the scope of the story and give it a grander ending。 It shifts the focus from our favorite party adventurers but keep solace in the fact the main characters have such well-developed personas that upon the return of This volume marked a shift for this series from a food and travelogue to a fantasy epic with an endgame in mind。 The essence of Dungeon Meshi, of the delicious in a dungeon is still there, but much care is taken in setting up subplots and introducing additional characters to increase the scope of the story and give it a grander ending。 It shifts the focus from our favorite party adventurers but keep solace in the fact the main characters have such well-developed personas that upon the return of the story focus, it feels comfortable and rewarding。Dungeon Meshi is evolving and that is why it is never boring。 。。。more

Neue Charaktere! Mehr Spannung! Ich freue mich, dass die Geschichte immer mehr an Tiefe gewinnt。

Frankly the front half of volume 6 was slow going。 There was too much emphasis and time spent on the stories of the different parties, than on the usual find a monster (or be found by one), kill it, prepare it in an appealing way, eat it。 I'm mostly invested for the delicious aspect。http://pussreboots。com/blog/2021/comm。。。996699 - S/M home labyrinth Frankly the front half of volume 6 was slow going。 There was too much emphasis and time spent on the stories of the different parties, than on the usual find a monster (or be found by one), kill it, prepare it in an appealing way, eat it。 I'm mostly invested for the delicious aspect。http://pussreboots。com/blog/2021/comm。。。996699 - S/M home labyrinth 。。。more

Better than volume 5, I like the creature design。 Still doesn't feel the same。 Gonna call it a break here for a while。 Better than volume 5, I like the creature design。 Still doesn't feel the same。 Gonna call it a break here for a while。 。。。more

We are finally getting more of a background on some of the characters and I loved the shape shifting parts of it!! And the dog was so interesting from a mythological standpoint。 But basically I feel like this story is going to get dark。。。

Gaaah!!! What will become of this bunch of ruffians? Glad to know some more background on them but there is still so much more and it is so well balanced。

The creature that was Falin confronts the party and makes a getaway! Our loyal band continues its pursuit。

A solid in-between volume that introduces a new party member and offers a moment to recover before the next arc really gets going。

Falin returns but who will survive this reunion?I really like this series which started out a simple guide of dungeoneering with a dash of fake recipes for monsters。 However after finding the Red Dragon and using a dangerous method of bringing their dear ally back from death this story has changed from survival and rescue to one of a different betrayal as the team must seek out the one person left that can save Falin and they may not be so willing if they find her so the team is going to have to Falin returns but who will survive this reunion?I really like this series which started out a simple guide of dungeoneering with a dash of fake recipes for monsters。 However after finding the Red Dragon and using a dangerous method of bringing their dear ally back from death this story has changed from survival and rescue to one of a different betrayal as the team must seek out the one person left that can save Falin and they may not be so willing if they find her so the team is going to have to hope for a miracle as they dive deeper into the dungeon。 。。。more

The focus has shifted from fantasy cookery to straightforward adventure, and its a disappointing change。

This has been the weakest volume in the series so far, although I'm still loving all the monsters and creatures that pop up! The workings of the Shapeshifters and Nightmares were especially interesting。 I wish the beginning half of this volume was stronger; it was a bit all over the place, and the progress with Falin felt weak。 Either way, I'm still super eager to get to the next book and see what happens。 This has been the weakest volume in the series so far, although I'm still loving all the monsters and creatures that pop up! So far, this series has been so fun and delightful。 I haven’t written any reviews on any of the earlier copies but now that I have finally read this sixth and final volume my local library can offer me, I thought it’s time。 This whole series has been a love sonnet for D&D and especially all the monsters and creatures that world can offer。 Not only monsters, it has a great many adventurer types and species, all the way from sorcerer gnomes to fighter kobolts。 The story so far has been very simple So far, this series has been so fun and delightful。 I haven’t written any reviews on any of the earlier copies but now that I have finally read this sixth and final volume my local library can offer me, I thought it’s time。 This whole series has been a love sonnet for D&D and especially all the monsters and creatures that world can offer。 Not only monsters, it has a great many adventurer types and species, all the way from sorcerer gnomes to fighter kobolts。 The story so far has been very simple yet innovative, throwing in all the crazy recipes you can make from dungeon monsters。 Otherwise it’s mainly been a character driven story, althought on this volume the story took such a Junji Ito like left turn I screamed in both horror and delight。 Highly recommended!! 。。。more

Seems like fewer recipes again as we have another big battle and a few side stories following it。 The overall tone still feels a bit darker than the initial volumes, but still entertaining。

Three parties converge and share stories in this one before receiving a brutal beat down! Kabru reveals himself to be quite the schemer。 Laios’s group may have added a new member after battling the mind games of monsters on the sixth floor。 And where is Falin!?! I found a lot of the digital shading of foreground elements very distracting in this volume。 I’m not sure why I noticed it so much here and not in prior volumes as I’m sure it’s used in those ones as well。 Generally, the art was its usua Three parties converge and share stories in this one before receiving a brutal beat down!
