This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Where the heck should I begin？Going into this， I had no knowledge of the story beyond Peter Pan， the Lost Boys， Neverland， let alone Tiger Lily。 I have never heard of such a character。 When I Googled her though， I recognised the little native girl animated fit for any Disney film。 But heck should I have known that she was Tiger Lily。 Again， I had no knowledge or interest prior to reading this book。But alas， hello， 💔💔💔。Getting to know and reading Tiger Lily’s story is another fairytale to behold。 Where the heck should I begin？Going into this， I had no knowledge of the story beyond Peter Pan， the Lost Boys， Neverland， let alone Tiger Lily。 I have never heard of such a character。 When I Googled her though， I recognised the little native girl animated fit for any Disney film。 But heck should I have known that she was Tiger Lily。 Again， I had no knowledge or interest prior to reading this book。But alas， hello， 💔💔💔。Getting to know and reading Tiger Lily’s story is another fairytale to behold。 It was a journey full of heart-churning events interwoven together until all you can ever think of is empathising with her。 This book isn’t too long with only a couple hundred pages， but it was one that I wanted to savour each word， chapter and twist and turn。 I loved the ending。 It showed life the way it is—purposeful。 However hard we try to go against the current of our lives， in the end we always go back to our destined course。 I leave this scatterbrained （trust me， that it exactly what I am as of the moment） review with some words from the last chapter of the book。 “Some words meant something different to Tiger Lily than they ever had before; some sentences waited years to grow full in her mind。 Many people in the village wanted her to be more of a girl， and Peter had wanted her to be large and brave but a little less large and brave than him。 But Pine Sap was sure enough to want her to be exactly who she was。 And though there were many people who loved Tiger Lily in her tribe， and many people Tiger Lily loved， that was what she was left with。”No doubt this magnificent book deserves all the fairy dust and golden stars it deserves。 ❤️❤️❤️ 。。。more

So this is the fastest I’ve read in a hot minute huh？ I got to a certain point *cough cough Wendy’s arrival *cough cough* where I just had to finish the book and find out what happens and what happens hurts a lot。 It was a great story and my only thing about it was that it actually felt a little slow at times for me。 Like almost like parts felt like filler。 But that was just a small part。 4。5 stars really。

Tiger lily is a great love story and spin off of Peter Pan。 It is very adventurous and a quick moving book which makes it impossible to put down on top of fact that it is very the suspenseful。

😕😕😕😕😕 Really disappointing。 2。5 ⭐️For an idea that sounded really cool is was poorly executed。 I liked the ending but it wasn’t written in a way that had the right impact。 It felt too slow most of the time and writing it from Tink’s POV was interesting but I don’t know if it was the best decision， it felt too detached。

After The Forbidden Wish， I felt an overwhelming urge to pick up another retelling that I had been eyeing for a while。 I'm only familiar with the Disney version of Peter Pan and my feelings for the characters aren't particularly strong。 But if I had to pick some elements that intrigued me the most about Neverland， they would be the mermaids， the magic， Peter himself， and （after I read the blurb） Tiger Lily。 I was really looking forward to learning more about Neverland through one of the side cha After The Forbidden Wish， I felt an overwhelming urge to pick up another retelling that I had been eyeing for a while。 I'm only familiar with the Disney version of Peter Pan and my feelings for the characters aren't particularly strong。 But if I had to pick some elements that intrigued me the most about Neverland， they would be the mermaids， the magic， Peter himself， and （after I read the blurb） Tiger Lily。 I was really looking forward to learning more about Neverland through one of the side characters who was a part of it。 Tiger Lily has such a great concept， but I was really disappointed with the execution。The narration style was a really interesting choice。 At first， I liked the idea of hearing the story from Tinker Bell。 But it quickly became suuuper "tell， not show"。 Even though she can "hear into people's heads，" I never really felt like I was getting to know the characters much and they didn't seem to be changing throughout the story。 The love between Peter and Tiger Lily was boring at best， insta-love at worst。 Thinking back on my feelings of the book， all I can remember is feeling either impartial or just sad at the dreary plot。 Speaking of the plot， it felt so stereotypical and pointless （view spoiler）[since our main characters don't do anything to change the outcome that had been predicted for them。 Also I feel pretty iffy about the whole natives vs。 foreigners conflict （hide spoiler）]。You'd think the characters would be fun to read though right？ No。 Peter lost all the charm I remember him having。 He can't even fly。 Tiger Lily is such a not-like-other-girls character （（view spoiler）[fuck Wendy right？ That girly girl who's everything Tiger Lily is not （hide spoiler）]） who rebels against rules for basically no reason and， in the process， creates the very problem that stands in the way of her happiness and ruins the people who care about her。 。。。more

This book was haunting， magical， and dark。 I was not expecting such depth and twists; this book completely blew me away， and one that will stay on my mind for a long time。 I loved all the characters， but especially the genderfluid character Tik Tok。 Brilliantly written。

A good surprise ！I was not expecting such a beautiful story。 I love every character， especially Tiktok。The story is by the Pov of Tinker bell which made it more interesting。 However， I have to say that if you are a hard fan of the original story you can be disappointed 。Besides that， the story is moving。 It’s a sweet story and a beautiful tragedy。
