Summary

An epidemic of apocalyptic proportions has swept the globe, causing the dead to rise and feed on the living。 In a matter of months, society has crumbled: there is no government, no grocery stores, no mail delivery, no cable TV。 In a world ruled by the dead, we are forced to finally begin living。 This volume follows our band of survivors as they set up a permanent camp inside a prison。 Relationships change, characters die, and our team of survivors learn there's something far more deadly than zombies out there: each other。

Safety Behind BarsThe Walking Dead #3Collected Issues: 13 - 18Robert KirkmanThis is sicker than the TV Show 3:) I like the story and the turn of events here more than what happened at the TV show, it looks more gruesome with new stories and characters, it is more fast-paced and looks more logical and though the show is a bit slow you can spend more time with the characters in here! The artwork is very good!I did not like the prison arc in the tv show, it is somehow more interesting here。。。

This installment of The Walking Dead series is an absolute gore fest。 There are five deaths, to near deaths and attempted murder and that's not including zombie killings。 It was an encapturing read for sure, it turns out the zombies aren't the only killers, and I enjoyed the mystery surrounding it。I am struggling to keep track of characters a bit however, what with so many if them being killed off。 But I appreciate that this is a realistic portrayal of a zombie apocalypse and it is really explor This installment of The Walking Dead series is an absolute gore fest。 There are five deaths, to near deaths and attempted murder and that's not including zombie killings。 It was an encapturing read for sure, it turns out the zombies aren't the only killers, and I enjoyed the mystery surrounding it。I am struggling to keep track of characters a bit however, what with so many if them being killed off。 But I appreciate that this is a realistic portrayal of a zombie apocalypse and it is really exploring human nature。I'm looking forward to starting the fourth book, I live in perpetual hope that things will start going right! 。。。more

The art work is just outstanding and the amount of detail in each image is crazy。 I love the character driven story, the people seem so real and like with most things you have characters you like and dislike more than others。 I find the images and words easy to follow and understand what's going on and you can distinguish who's who quite easily。 The art work is just outstanding and the amount of detail in each image is crazy。 I love the character driven story, the people seem so real and like with most things you have characters you like and dislike more than others。 I find the images and words easy to follow and understand what's going on and you can distinguish who's who quite easily。 。。。more

The body count ratcheted up meteorically here。 Group members dropping like flies with Rick, and the group, as Dale sumarises "fluctuating between sickeningly optimistic and completely enraged" which pretty much sums this issue up。 Rick is also seriously fraying at the seams with the stress bring put upon him。Hope, despair, hope, despair, hope, despair then we're done。Great issue。 The body count ratcheted up meteorically here。 Group members dropping like flies with Rick, and the group, as Dale sumarises "fluctuating between sickeningly optimistic and completely enraged" which pretty much sums this issue up。 Rick is also seriously fraying at the seams with the stress bring put upon him。Hope, despair, hope, despair, hope, despair then we're done。Great issue。 。。。more

4。5 stars! Would have been 5 but just lost the edge with this one! Still fantastic art work and I can’t wait to see where it goes after the ending!

Now we're getting to the good stuff。 This is where the series is really starting to settle and we have a consistent setting for a while (the prison) and individual character arcs can be explored more fully。 The pacing is really hitting its groove with just the right amount of new characters arriving, old characters dying, and flushing out relationships and other storylines。 Looking forward to the next book。 Now we're getting to the good stuff。 This is where the series is really starting to settle and we have a consistent setting for a while (the prison) and individual character arcs can be explored more fully。 The pacing is really hitting its groove with just the right amount of new characters arriving, old characters dying, and flushing out relationships and other storylines。 Looking forward to the next book。 。。。more

It is Wild!I decided to give it 5 stars because it is one of the few occasions I could not stop reading, the intrigue enveloped me。 I think Tyreese is a very good sidekick for Rick being that in the TV series it is Daryl who has that position。

A continuation of the strong storytelling from the second volume, but with some annoying cutting back and forth toward the end。 There's quite a lot that happens in this volume。 Sadly, one of those changes does not include the death of Lori Grimes or Patricia, both of whom are incredibly dumb and annoying, but I guess we can't get everything that we want。 A lot of characters die, a lot of characters change (mostly for the worst), and a lot of themes about the moral "death" of the characters are m A continuation of the strong storytelling from the second volume, but with some annoying cutting back and forth toward the end。 There's quite a lot that happens in this volume。 Sadly, one of those changes does not include the death of Lori Grimes or Patricia, both of whom are incredibly dumb and annoying, but I guess we can't get everything that we want。 A lot of characters die, a lot of characters change (mostly for the worst), and a lot of themes about the moral "death" of the characters are made more apparent。 All good stuff, but I didn't like the frequent changes in scenes from page to page。 It made the last part of the book feel jumpy and disjointed。 Still, a very strong third volume with a cliffhanger ending that will get you wanting to read the next volume。 。。。more

This volume felt like a drag。 The shocking events seemed disconnected, like they happened just for the sake of being shocking and not because it would be something that occurs naturally through the progression of the story。 The identity of the murderer was obvious。 Lori continues to be annoying as she tries to hold on the last bit of normalcy。 I don't blame her but it does become a little too much。 I think she was justified with her anger at Rick when he decides to just up and leave。 Dexter's an This volume felt like a drag。 The shocking events seemed disconnected, like they happened just for the sake of being shocking and not because it would be something that occurs naturally through the progression of the story。 The identity of the murderer was obvious。 Lori continues to be annoying as she tries to hold on the last bit of normalcy。 I don't blame her but it does become a little too much。 I think she was justified with her anger at Rick when he decides to just up and leave。 Dexter's anger at Rick is also understandable。 The second volume kind of made me dislike Rick but this one REALLY made me dislike Rick。 It would have been a lot better, SO MUCH BETTER, for the story to explore the dynamics with the inmates in this volume but what we got was a whole lot of nothing。 This volume felt empty。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 I fucking hate Lori so much, es insoportable esa mujer, no la aguanto。 Ya que me saqué eso del pecho tengo que decir que este volumen me gustó mas que el anterior, todo el tema de la cárcel como refugio estuvo bueno。 No me esperaba lo de la hija de Tyresse, no recuerdo si eso pasa en la serie, estuvo muy buena esa parte, como revive, el novio la mata otra vez y después Tyresse mata al novio。 No sospechaba de nadie con lo de las muertes de las hijas de Hershell, me gustó que Rick decidiera matar I fucking hate Lori so much, es insoportable esa mujer, no la aguanto。 Ya que me saqué eso del pecho tengo que decir que este volumen me gustó mas que el anterior, todo el tema de la cárcel como refugio estuvo bueno。 No me esperaba lo de la hija de Tyresse, no recuerdo si eso pasa en la serie, estuvo muy buena esa parte, como revive, el novio la mata otra vez y después Tyresse mata al novio。 No sospechaba de nadie con lo de las muertes de las hijas de Hershell, me gustó que Rick decidiera matar al tipo cuando lo descubrieron, la sociedad no es la misma, las mismas reglas no cuentan。 Estoy emocionada por seguir leyendo, pensaba que a estar alturas ya estuviera aburrida de leer cómics porque realmente no es lo mio, pero no, estoy enganchada。 。。。more

Loved it。 So many things were happening。 We see the characters evolving and I think that's what is amazing in a saga。 You get to see the characters change, grow up and get to know them deeply。 (I also finally got used to the art style!)。 Loved it。 So many things were happening。 We see the characters evolving and I think that's what is amazing in a saga。 You get to see the characters change, grow up and get to know them deeply。 (I also finally got used to the art style!)。 。。。more

Loving this series。 Really excited to see how different the storylines are going to be from the tv show。

4 stars。 This was insanity from beginning to end。 As soon as Rick and the gang pulled up to the prison everything went completely left and by the end of the volume everything had gone so crazy that it was making my head spin。 I couldn’t keep up。 There was just too much happening and I loved it。 This was gritty and grimy and filled with so much death and destruction。 My favorite volume so far。
