Summary

Kazi and Jase have survived, stronger and more in love than ever。 Their new life now lies before them―the Ballengers will be outlaws no longer, Tor's Watch will be a kingdom, and the two of them will meet all challenges side by side, together at last。

But an ominous warning mars their journey back, and in their rush to return to Tor's Watch, just outside the fortress walls, they are violently attacked and torn apart―and each is thrust into their own new hell。

Unsure whether the other is alive or dead, Kazi and Jase must keep their wits among their greatest enemies and unlikeliest allies。 And all the while, Death watches and waits。

I read most of this in one sitting。 I couldn't put it down。 There is a good bit of the book where the main characters are separated, but the ending made it worth it。 We got to see so many old characters。 Jase and Kazi are goals。 I love them。 Such a fun duology! for my friends~ vow of thieves: 5/5 ~this was such a good book and such a satisfying end to this duology!! i’m honestly so pleased w this book and i love the ending and i loved all the characters this time around and i actually cared for them and ah it was good。 the dual perspectives come in really handy in this book (for spoiler reasons) which was great。 honestly the thing that made me enjoy this book so much was the family part。 the accepting others into their family, and just how the larger t for my friends~ vow of thieves: 5/5 ~this was such a good book and such a satisfying end to this duology!! i’m honestly so pleased w this book and i love the ending and i loved all the characters this time around and i actually cared for them and ah it was good。 the dual perspectives come in really handy in this book (for spoiler reasons) which was great。 honestly the thing that made me enjoy this book so much was the family part。 the accepting others into their family, and just how the larger the family the better。 omg honestly i just loved how jase bonded with kerry, and how close he got with the settlers。 i also love the way we saw kazi learn to be part or a family and open up more, even tho it wasnt most of the book these bits were my favourite。 the ending was so satisfying and i was just so happy with it。 it wasnt a disney happy ending but it was good! kazi and jase were wonderful as always, i do wish we got more of (view spoiler)[ mason and synove (hide spoiler)] but i cant ask for too much。 just a great book and their development was great, and u could truly see how much they love each other throughout this book it was great。 i was unsure if it was 4/5 or 5/5, more like 4。5/5 but i rounded up cause it made me so happy。 。。。more

One of the most underrated fantasy series ever!Mary E Pearson knows how to write, how to craft beautiful romance that's true but not too gushy。 She knows how to write politics and raise the stakes。 And, with the rise of Netflix adaptations of YA novels, all the books set in this realm feel like a great opportunity to adapt for the silver screen。 The theme of family, forgiveness, and justice play heavily here, and they are all so interwoven perfectly that it's a true page turner。 Jase and Kazi ar One of the most underrated fantasy series ever!Mary E Pearson knows how to write, how to craft beautiful romance that's true but not too gushy。 She knows how to write politics and raise the stakes。 And, with the rise of Netflix adaptations of YA novels, all the books set in this realm feel like a great opportunity to adapt for the silver screen。 The theme of family, forgiveness, and justice play heavily here, and they are all so interwoven perfectly that it's a true page turner。 Jase and Kazi are strong protagonists, and from page 1 on Dance of Thieves to the last page of Vow of Thieves, their character arcs are amazing, and worth reading。If you were a fan of Shadow and Bone, Ella Enchanted, The 100 or Game of Thrones, this series is worth reading - if only for its drop-dead amazing plot twists and cliffhangers 😱🥰 。。。more

Really enjoyed this spin-off to the Reminent series。 Loved the characters and all the little pictures that the writer paints to let you easily fall in love with the story。 You do get a feeling of enchantment, feeling like you are there with the characters on their adventure。 A book I would easily read again because it would be FUN!

Both books are exceptional。 I honestly couldn’t tell you witch one I liked better, both were good in their own unique ways。 I just wish Jase and Kazi found each other a little sooner because I’m a sucker for there cute little moments。

PERFECT ENDING!! I absolutely loved this duology and all the characters have a special place in my heart。 Kazi and Jase are absolutely perfect for each other and I loved being able to see their growth and love for each other flourish。 This book was amazing and this duology is definitely one of my favorites now。 It has everything you could want in a book and more。 The story is amazing and keeps you wondering what’s going to happen next, while also not completely stressing you out。 THE ROMANCE IS PERFECT ENDING!! Let’s not forget bada** Kazi and how freaking amazing she is at everything。 I think I might be in love with her, she’s strong, independent, and can do pretty much everything。 I aspire to be on her level。 The other characters in this series are so amazing and I loved each and every one of them (except for the obvious annoying characters nobody likes) 。。。more

2 Stars:Well this book kinda broke my heart considering Dance of Thieves is one of my favourite books。So, my main problem with this book was that the couple was separated for 60% of the book。 Around 250 pages。Even when they did get back together, there was no romance at all。This, of course, I probably wouldn't've minded so much if the plot was intriguing, but its certainly was NOT。The plot was all over the place。 One kingdom invaded another kingdom? SO MANY CHARACTERS it was impossible to keep track of knowing all 30 names。 Papers that were plans on making dangerous weapons? A vial? That was like magic or something (out of nowhere)。And this dragged for 400 pages。 I started this book in FEBRUARY and kind of had it on the back burner until now (April)。 I am really struggling to understand how this book has such high ratings?? (Average of 4。4?) The side characters were meh。 Not much going on with them。 There was a vault? I think? Like a saferoom for emergencies? But it wasn't described very well。 I actually have no idea what it looked like。This book really just made no sense。I convinced myself it would get better after Jase and Kazi were back in proximity but it didn't :/I was also hoping for a nice closure, specifically (view spoiler)[ Kazi's mother being found alive (hide spoiler)] but that did not happen either。Maybe this book just wasn't for me but I can't seem to find any redeeming qualities :(*also, i have been reading this book for a LONG span of time so I will probably be adding some more of my points later on 。。。more

this series was probably one of the best i’ve ever read。 i finished this book in just a few hours it was so good。 the plot was amazing and the story picks up quickly so you don’t have to read half the book to enjoy it。 i love how this book switches between Kazi and Jase’s point of view so you understand both of them。 this book had me hooked and there was so much adventure and exciting plot twists especially in book 2。 100% recommend if you love fantasy and some romantic sprinkled in。

I DID NOT SLEEP BECAUSE OF THIS BOOK。 I slept at 8 am。。 8 am!!! It’s been a while since I’ve rated a book 5 stars。 I loved the family dynamic, the plot, the action, and of course the sweet moments between the MCs。 Jase, patrei, you have my heart。 Kazi, giiiirrlllll, you are FIERCE。 “Any one of us can only pray that someday, someone will love us as much as Kazi loved Jase to sacrifice everything, including her life。” Awesome characters and not once was I annoyed with them (it happens quite a lot, I DID NOT SLEEP BECAUSE OF THIS BOOK。 I slept at 8 am。。 8 am!!! Honestly, where has this book/series been all my life? Truly the best duo I have read in a really long time。 It was completely engrossing and my entire life seemed put on hold while I listened to this book。 The audiobook version has phenomenal narrators too。 There were so many moments that had me sitting on the edge of my seat, not knowing what plot twist was next。 The motives and actions of the characters are very realistic and it is easy to identify with so many of the people the author introd Honestly, where has this book/series been all my life? My very first DNF。 I did not like the first book, but still decided to give this one a fair shot。。。 DNF 45% through。 It is excruciatingly slow and boring。

I really enjoyed this duology。 The first book probably more than the second but I still liked the way things ended。 I’m sad that it’s over and I want a mason and synové novella but that will probably never happen 😔

I was shocked by how much I loved this book。 I was expecting to like it a lot less than the first one, (that’s just how sequels are for me) but this one has to be my all time favorite book by this author! A fantastic finish to the Dance of Thieves series, Vow of Thieves falls into the rare category of being better than the first book in a duology。 The adventures of Kazi and Jase and their friends and family kept me on the edge of my seat。 I particularly loved Pearson's continual use of multiple points of view to tell the story。 The book ended spectacularly as well, tying up all loose ends into what I thought was a very satisfying ending。 The romance between Jase and Kazi was one of the sweetest I A fantastic finish to the Dance of Thieves series, Vow of Thieves falls into the rare category of being better than the first book in a duology。 The adventures of Kazi and Jase and their friends and family kept me on the edge of my seat。 I particularly loved Pearson's continual use of multiple points of view to tell the story。 The book ended spectacularly as well, tying up all loose ends into what I thought was a very satisfying ending。 The romance between Jase and Kazi was one of the sweetest I have ever read, and a refreshingly healthy enemies to lovers。 My one complaint was the way they danced around addressing some of Kazi's trauma, never confronting and conquering it head on。 The dynamic between characters, not just Jase and Kazi, was amusing and insightful。 I loved getting to know the colorful side characters and felt as though I was going on the adventure with them, not the one reading about it。 This is a fantastic read for readers new to the young adult genre。 This series is a cozy read, one to binge while curled up on a rainy day with some hot chocolate。 This book fully deserves five stars。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 This was a goodish read。 If I’m completely honest this duology wasn’t at all what I was expecting。 I thought I would love it a lot more than I did。 That being said, I didn’t hate it。 It was okay。 Good even。 But definitely not my favorite book ever。 At first I really had to force myself to get into it。 The first half of this book didn’t have much of a plot in my opinion。 It was mostly inner dialogues and both of the characters trying to process the life they thought they were returning to and the This was a goodish read。 If I’m completely honest this duology wasn’t at all what I was expecting。 I thought I would love it a lot more than I did。 That being said, I didn’t hate it。 It was okay。 Good even。 But definitely not my favorite book ever。 At first I really had to force myself to get into it。 The first half of this book didn’t have much of a plot in my opinion。 It was mostly inner dialogues and both of the characters trying to process the life they thought they were returning to and the one they actually came home to。 The characters get separated very early in the book and there’s no more romance building or really any sweet moments in most of the book, expect for mentions of the past。 It was them trying to figure out who was their friend and who was their enemy and most of it was really boring to me。 I had a feeling that Paxton was the one secretly helping Kazi and was revealed to actually be on her side。 So not much of a plot twist there。 I actually liked him though。 I wish we got more scenes where got to connect deeper with him。 Despite the slow beginning, the book actually picked up and got interesting toward the middle and end。 I felt the love in Kazi for Jace in this book that I lacked to see in the previous story。 Even though most of the book they’re separated, she made a lot of sacrifices and made decisions that benefitted his family and showed her loyalty。 Jace had his moments as well but this book mostly focused on Kazi。 The ending was really nice and sweet。 We get a small glimpse of their life a year later and it’s all very wholesome。 In it’s entirety this book was good。 Nothing crazy。 I feel like I’ll forget the details pretty quickly, but I still recommend it if you read the first book and want to see how it all ends。 Again。 That is to say, the same as it ended in the first book。 3。5-4 Stars。 。。。more
