Summary

Eragon a été mon premier lire audio – et j’ai d’ailleurs mis énormément de temps à le finir， car les livres audios m’endorment super biens ！ J’avais déjà lu cette saga， il y a quelques années， cependant， je ne me souvenais plus de grand-chose。 C’était donc avec grand plaisir que j’ai redécouvert ce premier tome。Ce que j’aime avec ce genre de roman， c’est que nous sommes dans de la Fantasy pure et dure。 Eragon est une histoire qui m’a fait voyager et découvrir de nouvelles cultures， qui en réali Eragon a été mon premier lire audio – et j’ai d’ailleurs mis énormément de temps à le finir， car les livres audios m’endorment super biens ！ J’avais déjà lu cette saga， il y a quelques années， cependant， je ne me souvenais plus de grand-chose。 C’était donc avec grand plaisir que j’ai redécouvert ce premier tome。Ce que j’aime avec ce genre de roman， c’est que nous sommes dans de la Fantasy pure et dure。 Eragon est une histoire qui m’a fait voyager et découvrir de nouvelles cultures， qui en réalité n’existent pas du tout。 J’avais oublié à quel point le monde est complet et riche。 Les personnages sont tous différents et apportent tous un plus à l’histoire。 Ces personnages qui m’ont beaucoup plus par ailleurs， tous autant qu’ils sont。 Ils sont tous très bien travaillés et nous les reconnaissons sans même avoir leur nom durant les dialogues – ce qui est forcément un gros plus。Ce que j’ai vraiment apprécié， c’est le rythme du livre。 Même si l’action n’est pas présente à tous les chapitres， ils sont tous importants。 Je ne me souviens pas avoir lu un chapitre et m’être dit : «il ne sert à rien lui， en fait ！ »。 Pas à pas， l’auteur nous accompagne afin de nous faire découvrir le monde et l’histoire qu’il a créée。 En plus de suivre la vie d’Eragon， certains personnages nous narrent d’autres légendes， d’autres contes qui sont tellement intéressants。 。。。more

I think I may have enjoyed this as an out loud book more than Alice。 It was a bit drawn out for her taste。 Still， Eragon is a classic fantasy novel about a boy and his dragon， Saphira。 We adored the beginning part when he finds the egg and bonds with Saphira， but the long battle sequences at the end with the urgals and dwarves seemed less engaging to us both。

There was a reason this took me years and many restarts to finish。 Aside from the unoriginal plot， the actual writing made this tough to get through， and there wasn’t enough entertainment value to make it worth it。 Sometimes I give fantasy or YA books a pass because I love them or they are fun to read， but this did not get that pass。 Maybe the rest of the series is better？

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 I loved Eragon because in it， Eragon rides a dragon named Saphira that he found in the spine which is a spooky forested mountain area。 Weird raven humanoids called Razac come and try to kill Eragon， but they fail。 They burn down Eragon's house and Eragon's adoptive father dies。 Roran， Eragon's brother， blames Eragon for leaving and causing his father's death。 In this book Eragon tries to get to the Varden， which is a secret organization that combats Galbatorax's forces。 Galbatorax is an evil dra I loved Eragon because in it， Eragon rides a dragon named Saphira that he found in the spine which is a spooky forested mountain area。 Weird raven humanoids called Razac come and try to kill Eragon， but they fail。 They burn down Eragon's house and Eragon's adoptive father dies。 Roran， Eragon's brother， blames Eragon for leaving and causing his father's death。 In this book Eragon tries to get to the Varden， which is a secret organization that combats Galbatorax's forces。 Galbatorax is an evil dragon rider who destroyed almost every dragon egg and killed almost every dragon。 My favorite character is Saphira because she is really cool because she can fly and sounds like she's a really cool color。 She's really magical。 I was really surprised when Bron died because he was a big character。 I loved the ending of this book， and wouldn't change a thing。 。。。more
