The really odd thing is I don’t think this story in the films， well that’s a little harsh。 I enjoyed it when I was younger but I just skip this one now。However， I really really enjoyed the book。 There is none stop action （if you can call it that） from start to finish。 It just doesn’t stop。Brilliant， easy read。

I rated this book A five out of five because I have always been a fan of the Harry Potter series。 This book is about the story of how Harry and Ron become even better friends doing crazy adventures whether it’s with flying cars or a Quidditch game。 But underneath their nose the chamber of secrets is opened and moaning Myrtle is up there to help。 You’ll have to figure out what happens but all I can say is harry saves the day in more than one way！

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Chamber of Secrets is definitely the weakest book in the series， but that doesn't stop it from being fun to read。The main strength isn't the wonder from Philosopher's Stone， it isn't the subtle sadness and longing found in Prisoner of Azkaban， nor the dreary atmosphere of Half-Blood Prince， it's the central mystery: the Chamber of Secrets itself。So often there is a longing for a hidden nook: ancient secrets to a familiar place， usually in your own home。 A bookshelf that folds back to a hidden ca Chamber of Secrets is definitely the weakest book in the series， but that doesn't stop it from being fun to read。The main strength isn't the wonder from Philosopher's Stone， it isn't the subtle sadness and longing found in Prisoner of Azkaban， nor the dreary atmosphere of Half-Blood Prince， it's the central mystery: the Chamber of Secrets itself。So often there is a longing for a hidden nook: ancient secrets to a familiar place， usually in your own home。 A bookshelf that folds back to a hidden cabinet， a trapdoor under the cupboard。 Now we find rumors about an ancient chamber hidden somewhere in Hogwarts。 Just when the magical castle couldn't get any more interesting。It's hard to review a book that is immeasurably popular but I resort to my feelings as a child experiencing this series for the first time。I was six years old and had just received the first three books as a （very generous） present。 I'd already seen the first film countless times and proceeded to devour the books。Rowling rehashes the important plot threads through little infodumps in the first third of the book。 A method that I don't think many kids needed， especially if I myself didn't。 This time ought to have been spent embellishing the world a bit more， something the later entries did better。 But fueling me through was that title: the promise of secrets in a big。。。 chamber。And it's surprisingly worth it。 The main and seemingly unimportant plot threads （mostly） all weave together into a very satisfying conclusion， albeit a bit more anticlimactic than the film adaptation （action-wise）。I distinctly remember the note from Hermione's petrified hand blowing my mind when I first read it。 And then the answers just kept on coming。Like the other Harry Potter books the webs of mystery were unraveled in glorious fashion。 But I found that this mystery in particular was the most intriguing as a child。 Why else would I pretend to see a basilisk underneath a classroom at school？ Slithering around behind the wooden boards making the foundation of the building。 We would run along the wall and chase it under my directions。 The crazy thing is my friends genuinely believed me。 I just hope that they weren't fake as well。 。。。more
