Are you daunted by astronomy and physics? I am, which is why I found this big illustrated book so much easier to approach than say, a Stephen Hawking bestseller。 I have a tiny mind when it comes to science and math, so the 8-12 year old level here was perfect for me。

4。5 stars。 Excellent book。 Lays out only the basics, but in intriguing way。 Good introduction for kids into space。 Also the illustrations are GORGEOUS。

Brīnišķīga grāmata。 Satriecoši skaista, saturiski uztverama un vērtīga。 Pēc būtības, protams, pilnīgs kosmoss。。

The illustrations in this book are amazing。 Worth buying for them alone!

Absolutely stunning pictures but the prose is a bit ponderous especially for kids。 I'm at a loss on types of stars and how galaxies are classified by shape。 Large book set up in different galleries like a planetarium would be。 Lots to go through, lots to learn。 Absolutely stunning pictures but the prose is a bit ponderous especially for kids。 I'm at a loss on types of stars and how galaxies are classified by shape。 Large book set up in different galleries like a planetarium would be。 Lots to go through, lots to learn。 。。。more

A beautiful and informative book! I read one subject to my kids every night for a month。 Not an easy accomplishment to keep all of us interested。 The art work is incredible!

This book really does take you on an immersive journey beyond the Earths atmosphere, into space and beyond。 The vast amount of information in this book in incredible, the scientific explanations are precise and in-depth and I feel the use of this book in a classroom will really engage pupils in a challenge, which will helpfully develop vocabulary and understanding。 While there still may be terminology out of pupils reach, these would prove to be wonderful exploration and discussion opportunities This book really does take you on an immersive journey beyond the Earths atmosphere, into space and beyond。 The vast amount of information in this book in incredible, the scientific explanations are precise and in-depth and I feel the use of this book in a classroom will really engage pupils in a challenge, which will helpfully develop vocabulary and understanding。 While there still may be terminology out of pupils reach, these would prove to be wonderful exploration and discussion opportunities that the whole class can share。 The illustrations are simply captivating, the pages are enticing and the more you read, the more you want to find out and so keep reading on。 Great for encouraging enjoyment and satisfaction from reading。 。。。more

The pictures are absolutely beautiful, but I also enjoyed the reading。 I bought the book thinking about the kids, but as I was reading it first, at some point I had to stop myself from commenting some of the interesting bits to the rest of the family。I have a feeling I will be returning to this book every now and then。

KC

An outstanding book of space exploration。 Big enough for the entire family to enjoy。

This book is absolutely gorgeous。 It has a great amount of information, but not too much so you won't get overloaded with information or lose interest。 This book is absolutely gorgeous。 It has a great amount of information, but not too much so you won't get overloaded with information or lose interest。 。。。more

This book is an amazing resource for teaching the solar system in science。 I love how easy it is to follow and the idea that the pages are set out like a museum so you feel like you’re going on a journey into space。 The key facts at the bottom of each page was a great summary too。

Mats

My space-obsessed 3-year-old is crazy in love with this book, despite the science being way over his head。 We read parts of it and mostly he looks at the pictures and diagrams。 It's a book he can look up in 7 years and still enjoy。 Also, it's a HUGE picture book。 My space-obsessed 3-year-old is crazy in love with this book, despite the science being way over his head。 We read parts of it and mostly he looks at the pictures and diagrams。 It's a book he can look up in 7 years and still enjoy。 Also, it's a HUGE picture book。 。。。more

Read this book together with my 8 and 5 yo。 Super interesting especially for me and my older "space nerd" one。 One page is like a minichapter - just long enough for a bed time story。 Read this book together with my 8 and 5 yo。 Super interesting especially for me and my older "space nerd" one。 One page is like a minichapter - just long enough for a bed time story。 。。。more
