Slice of life romance graphic novels haven’t always been my thing but to be honest I kinda felt this one had a great story。 I’d say this one is more for adult audiences。 Glad I gave this one a read。

A volte accadono degli imprevisti。 Tipo che vado in fumetteria per aggiornarmi sulle ultime uscite delle pubblicazioni Disney， e ne esco fuori con quest’albo。 dal quale， inizialmente， proprio essendo stato attratto dalla bella copertina ho cercato di stare lontano， ma poi non ce l’ho fatta， l’ho preso， l’ho sfogliato e， constatato che il contenuto era analogo per qualità， l’ho comprato di corsa。 L’unica cosa che ha in comune con i fumetti Disney è il fatto di essere pubblicato dalla Edizioni Pan A volte accadono degli imprevisti。 Tipo che vado in fumetteria per aggiornarmi sulle ultime uscite delle pubblicazioni Disney， e ne esco fuori con quest’albo。 dal quale， inizialmente， proprio essendo stato attratto dalla bella copertina ho cercato di stare lontano， ma poi non ce l’ho fatta， l’ho preso， l’ho sfogliato e， constatato che il contenuto era analogo per qualità， l’ho comprato di corsa。 L’unica cosa che ha in comune con i fumetti Disney è il fatto di essere pubblicato dalla Edizioni Panini， ed uno stile grafico che， almeno a tratti， mi ha ricordato quello delle Witch （tanto che ho pensato provenisse dagli stessi disegnatori）。 Invece è tutt’altro， e trovo buffo che la stessa casa editrice dei fumetti per bambini per antonomasia pubblichi anche storie decisamente “hard” tipo questa… La storia è persino banale， a raccontarla （si tratta comunque solo del primo volume di una serie）。 Due giovani si incontrano in un college americano。 Lei è di origine cinese （peraltro a vederla disegnata pare ispanica， comunque bellissima） con madre “tigre asiatica” di prammatica 。 Lui， invece， più un biondo WASP。 E’ subito grande amore， e poi figli， matrimonio， soldi e successo quanto basta （ah， il sogno americano…）。Però tra i due il desiderio， repentinamente， si spegne。 E’ lei - mai avuto altri uomini al di fuori di lui - che， dopo aver fatto un po’ di ricerche su internet， decide di fare il grande passo e， per riaccendere i fuochi， entrare nel magico mondo dello scambismo。 Lui， al contrario， è piuttosto recalcitrante。 Comunque la cosa pare funzionare。 Fine della prima puntata。Potreste dire: tutto qua？ Ma ciò che fa la differenza è un disegno sontuoso e fortemente evocativo， una naturalezza di persone e situazioni talmente accentuata che anche le （poche） scene di sesso esplicito non hanno nulla di volgare o pornografico， dei caratteri e delle situazioni emozionali fortissimamente credibili。Ultima nota: la globalizzazione del fumetto。 La disegnatrice è croata， gli sceneggiatori （con evidenti echi autobiografici） sono americani con lei di origine cinese。 Non solo: la disegnatrice ha un marito， croato e disegnatore anche lui， con uno stile molto simile， che ha realizzato una serie， Sunstone， di tematica BDSM。 Ho ordinato il primo volume su Amazon e mi arriva oggi， non vedo l’ora。。。 。。。more

A sweet， and thoughtful exploration on a subject that isn't widely talked about。 I appreciated the honesty of how the theme was dealt with while not making it lurid or gratuitous。A couple named Cathy and Dan have been married， now have kids， and are settled into a routine that seems repetitive to both。 There's no overt problem in the relationship， but they both feel like they are going through the motions， so to speak。 Cathy one night researches how to "spice things up" in their relationship and A sweet， and thoughtful exploration on a subject that isn't widely talked about。 I appreciated the honesty of how the theme was dealt with while not making it lurid or gratuitous。A couple named Cathy and Dan have been married， now have kids， and are settled into a routine that seems repetitive to both。 There's no overt problem in the relationship， but they both feel like they are going through the motions， so to speak。 Cathy one night researches how to "spice things up" in their relationship and discovers the world of swinging。 They then set into motion a plan to meet people and start trying this lifestyle。 I really appreciated the writing， because it doesn't rush into the swinging and sex quickly。 The story takes it time， and reflects on the worries， fears， guilt， jealousy， and every other feeling and thought the characters go through when first embarking on this type of situation together。 It added a level of realism to the book that usually is missing from stories in comics that have any kind of nudity。 The art is drawn by Linda Sejic， and it is really nice to look at。 It's a soft， and semi anime style that matches the theme of the book well。 The art gives the book an almost fairy tale feeling to it， while at the same time， is able to give us more realistic tone when the subject matter gets a bit more serious。 Good stuff by Sejic。If you like reading about relationships and discovering new paths together， then check this out。 Even if swinging is something that is on your "to do" list， this story is still interesting and entertaining。 。。。more

DecentAs an exploration of swinging， it is fairly superficial but inoffensive。 To those new the idea， this seems to be a fair treatment。 It does not succumb to too many tropes and cliches from the culture。 The art is good but the comic is very adult as one might expect。

Wow this was so good！ There was much happening all the time that this turned out to be a super fast read！ The only thing that bummed me out was that it ended when things were getting steamy and I just want more！
