O carte pentru iubitorii de ciocolată!

I gave this book a five out of five。 This book is a classic it shows how all of these different children grew up and even though Charlie didn’t have as much money or grow up the same way as all of the other kids you could see how he was much further ahead in the end。

Mr。 Willy Wonka, the eccentric owner of the greatest chocolate factory in the world, has decided to open the doors of his factory to five lucky children and their parents。 In order to choose who will enter the factory, Mr。 Wonka devises a plan to hide five golden tickets beneath the wrappers of his famous chocolate bars。 The search for the five golden was on。 Augustus Gloop, a corpulent child whose only hobby is eating, unwraps the first ticket, for which his town throws him a parade。 Veruca Sal Mr。 Willy Wonka, the eccentric owner of the greatest chocolate factory in the world, has decided to open the doors of his factory to five lucky children and their parents。 In order to choose who will enter the factory, Mr。 Wonka devises a plan to hide five golden tickets beneath the wrappers of his famous chocolate bars。 The search for the five golden was on。 Augustus Gloop, a corpulent child whose only hobby is eating, unwraps the first ticket, for which his town throws him a parade。 Veruca Salt, an insufferable brat, receives the next ticket from her father, who had employed his entire factory of peanut shellers to unwrap chocolate bars until they found a ticket。 Violet Beauregarde discovers the third ticket while taking a break from setting a world record in gum chewing。 The fourth ticket goes to Mike Teavee, who, as his name implies, cares only about television。 Charlie Bucket, the unsuspecting hero of the book, defies all odds in claiming the fifth and final ticket。 In the factory, Charlie and Grandpa Joe marvel at the unbelievable sights, sounds, and especially smells of the factory。 Whereas they are grateful toward and respectful of Mr。 Wonka and his factory, the other four children succumb to their own character flaws。 This book contains many literary devices, those of which include, foreshadowing, understatement, imagery and personification。 The personification is one of the more noticeable devices in this book as some of Wonka's creations are personified to a high degree, notably the square candies that look round。 Rather than just being described with humanlike qualities, these candies are actually given humanlike qualities, when the Oompa-Loompas paint faces on them and they are able to turn to look at people who come in the door。 The squirrels are described in much the same way, working to shell walnuts as if they were humans, and reacting to Veruca's intrusion as if they had a humanlike awareness of what is going on。I gave this book a 5 out of 5 stars mostly because it is a fun read。 But this book also has more to it, which teach all the children that read it lessons。 As with all Roald Dahl's books, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a quaint and charming tale with a strong moral undertone。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it, click here。 Everyone knows the story。 If they haven’t read it, chances are they’ve seen one of the film adaptions。 I have to say, as is the case with many things, the book is better than any film。 It’s feel good, Charlie doesn’t steal fizzy lifting drinks (like in the Gene Wilder adaptation), and is just a good story。 It’s also quite dark, in terms of the bad things that happen to the ungrateful, mean children。 Well worth a read。 A short book so you can easily read in a couple of days。

(4/5) : EB/ABI figured reading/listening to a short book like this would help me towards reaching my 100 books this year and it certainly was a breeze。 I remember seeing both the Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp movies in my childhood and both were pretty memorable, obviously not the best films but enjoyable nonetheless。 The book made me nostalgic in a good way and I really enjoy how wild and crazy some of the details are。 I think I'll read a few more Roald Dahl books since they're short and hopefull (4/5) : EB/ABI figured reading/listening to a short book like this would help me towards reaching my 100 books this year and it certainly was a breeze。 I remember seeing both the Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp movies in my childhood and both were pretty memorable, obviously not the best films but enjoyable nonetheless。 The book made me nostalgic in a good way and I really enjoy how wild and crazy some of the details are。 I think I'll read a few more Roald Dahl books since they're short and hopefully, I can hit 50 books by the beginning of June。 。。。more

Very funny and a little creepy book where the rules are not followed and if you are greedy you get into bad traps。 But if you are eager and respect and follow rules you will get a chance to earn something。

I've seen the movie, but I never read the book before。 I'm glad I finally did。 Now I understand that *one* scene that never made sense to me in the original movie! Read this with my kids for a school event thing and had never read it before now。 I thought it was fun and engaging and all of us had a good laugh through it。 The language is clearly outdated in quite a few moments but it was anticipated and it actually became a catalyst for important conversations with the kids!

Really fun and satisfying - I love how, like a fairy tale, good wins and evil is harshly punished。 The audiobook is also a blast to listen to。

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a timeless classic of a children's book。 It tells the story of Charlie, a poor boy, who finds a golden ticket in a candy bar that he buys with a dollar he found on the ground。 This golden ticket wins Charlie, along with five other winners and all their respective chaperones, a tour of Willy Wonka's fantastical chocolate factory。 Each of the other four winners give into their temptations and eat some candy along the tour, which was explicitly forbidden by Wonk Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is a timeless classic of a children's book。 It tells the story of Charlie, a poor boy, who finds a golden ticket in a candy bar that he buys with a dollar he found on the ground。 This golden ticket wins Charlie, along with five other winners and all their respective chaperones, a tour of Willy Wonka's fantastical chocolate factory。 Each of the other four winners give into their temptations and eat some candy along the tour, which was explicitly forbidden by Wonka, and they all suffer fantastical ironic downfalls and must leave the tour。 With Charlie (and his grandpa) the last remaining tour-member, Wonka explains that this tour was set up to find an heir to the factory。 They then blast off into the sky through a glass elevator, which they ride to Charlie's house and Wonka invites the family to come live in the factory。 I gave this book five stars because it is a bucket of fun。 The goofiness of the factory, the oompa-loompas, the zaniness of Wonka himself, the glass elevator, it is all just so much fun to read。 It also gives a blast of nostalgia as I grew up reading all of Roald Dahl's work。 。。。more

I never thought that I would end up reading this since we had read a few chapters in school but obviously that was not true。 The book was great, it was enjoyable and didn't drag I think if I had finished the book when I was younger I would have appreciated the story more but never mind。 I enjoyed how Roald Dhal described everything and found my self smiling quite a bit。 I never thought that I would end up reading this since we had read a few chapters in school but obviously that was not true。 The book was great, it was enjoyable and didn't drag I think if I had finished the book when I was younger I would have appreciated the story more but never mind。 I enjoyed how Roald Dhal described everything and found my self smiling quite a bit。 。。。more
