This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Plot triggers: abduction， violence， death， fearAnother find from the school library box， so I’m well aware of the fact that I am not the target audience here， but these were so frustrating。The storyline is actually pretty good。 Starting off with ‘A Place Called Perfect’ is the sort of semi fantasy where a girl moves to a fictional town where everything is just a little bit off and adventure ensues as the mystery is uncovered。I was also pleased that the second book was a stand alone story so it w Plot triggers: abduction， violence， death， fearAnother find from the school library box， so I’m well aware of the fact that I am not the target audience here， but these were so frustrating。The storyline is actually pretty good。 Starting off with ‘A Place Called Perfect’ is the sort of semi fantasy where a girl moves to a fictional town where everything is just a little bit off and adventure ensues as the mystery is uncovered。I was also pleased that the second book was a stand alone story so it wouldn’t matter if you hadn’t read the first even though they deal with the same universe。 However， the constant puns in this are just patronising in the end。 The mystery revolves around eyes - something that is played upon with objects in the town however， the author goes so far as to name one character Macula - in a family that also has a character called Iris - which irritated me beyond belief。 Almost as much as the fact that a key character is literally called Boy。 Now， I get that he spends the first book as an orphan but given than he is reunited with his mum in the end of it - surely she’d have a proper name for him？ His twin is called Tom！ 。。。more

Е， много неща предвидих， но това не го очаквах。。。 Обичам поредицата за Съвършенство - детски книги със сърце， дух и приключения。 Втората книга е чудесна и макар че се досетих за някои неща， много се， ядосвах на възрастните， а накрая и плаках - определено имаше дъжд от емоции。。。 Любими са ми всички герои， но Вайълет ми е фаворит， заедно с Ана。 Изключителни деца и страхотна история！

note: there's some stuff about orphans whose parents are still alive， and it includes some awful bullying， and i don't think it's addressed enough。 also some bits about mental health and locking those people away from the rest of society。 so， heads up for content warnings。 i don't care at all if people think those are spoilers。 firmly in the camp of possible triggers being more important than any spoilers ever could be。 i think i preferred the first one， but this was a fun read too！ i think book note: there's some stuff about orphans whose parents are still alive， and it includes some awful bullying， and i don't think it's addressed enough。 also some bits about mental health and locking those people away from the rest of society。 so， heads up for content warnings。 i don't care at all if people think those are spoilers。 firmly in the camp of possible triggers being more important than any spoilers ever could be。 i think i preferred the first one， but this was a fun read too！ i think book one can be read as a standalone， if you so choose， but this one definitely leaves too much unanswered to skip the last book。 there are sort of zombies， but they feel more like Frankenstein's monster here。 （i've started the third book， and yeah， definitely more zombie-esque）。 i seem to be in the minority， but i don't like zombies - they're not creepy or scary。。。 they're just gross。 disgusting。 hard pass on zombies。 the tricky part about this series for me is how completely the villains are able to implement their plans。 instead of them flailing as our heroes defeat them， i fell like it's the heroes flailing。 the logic of violet and crew's plans isn't always there， and sometimes it's unbelievable they usually make it out relatively unscathed。 i like how this is set about a year after the end of book one so we get to see how everyone's coping and pulling it together after that ending。 it cuts out some unnecessary bits。 but then， i feel like what's going on with boy was exceedingly obvious， especially because of something violet misunderstands from book one。 actually， a lot of this series seems to have violet discovering a bunch of things yet somehow being unable to put it all together。 like: she'll think of someone who exists but she's never seen， then she'll see a mysterious person who exactly fits that description and has NO idea who it is。 cannot draw conclusions。 and it's not a spoiler bc it happens several times in all three books。 it's really infuriating， and i think it would be for kids too。 unless they're the type of reader who loves feeling smug when they figure out things the characters can't。 i'm the type of reader who doesn't enjoy wasting that sort of time。 but anyway。 this book felt like the science could've been a bit more possible， which made it seem a little less magical。 but the first book felt like magic trying to be explained by science。 the third book feels like a little of both， so i'm wondering if it was intentional？ anyway， i think i'm just being a boring old adult because these books are definitely fun， featuring kids going on adventures and noticing things adults don't！ 。。。more

I absolutely LOVED a this book。 It is so gripping and filled with mystery and adventure。 It was quite a quick read for me but nevertheless i still highly recommend it！！！
