Summary

A charming isekai tale about a woman's magical entrepreneurship in a fantasy world。 (And don't miss the original light novels, also available from Seven Seas!)

Sei, a 20-year-old office worker, is whisked away to a whole new world。 Unfortunately for Sei, the ritual that summoned her--meant to produce a Saint who would banish the dark magic--brought two people over instead of one。 And everyone prefers the second girl over Sei?! But this is just fine by Sei, who leaves the royal palace to set up shop making potions and cosmetics with her newfound magic。 Business is booming, and this might not be such a bad life, after all。。。as long as her supposed Sainthood doesn't come back to haunt her。

The story so far is still very lax, I'd say I guess this is more suited for people who are just looking for a light and relaxing read。 The art is still nice, and the characters are likeable but at the same time if you're the type who's looking for some fast progress, then this manga isn't for you。 I'll probably read this only if I'm in the mood for some relaxing manga。 :) The story so far is still very lax, I'd say I guess this is more suited for people who are just looking for a light and relaxing read。 The art is still nice, and the characters are likeable but at the same time if you're the type who's looking for some fast progress, then this manga isn't for you。 I'll probably read this only if I'm in the mood for some relaxing manga。 :) 。。。more

'The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent' vol 2 is a good continuation; we get a date with a hot guy, a bit more about how her magic power can support the kingdom, and a few more hints about what might be going on behind the scenes。 Still perhaps a bit more RPG-like than it really needs to be, but it's a fun otome dating novel for all that。 'The Saint's Magic Power is Omnipotent' vol 2 is a good continuation; we get a date with a hot guy, a bit more about how her magic power can support the kingdom, and a few more hints about what might be going on behind the scenes。 Still perhaps a bit more RPG-like than it really needs to be, but it's a fun otome dating novel for all that。 。。。more

Sei is still just doing her thing, which happens to involve constantly upheaving the current way of the world。 She’s also surrounded by a lot of guys and trying to lead a peaceful life, but an investigative trip to the library might soon put her in arms way。。。Well, this is still one of the better isekai out there, although it is definitely leaning hard into the stories that came before it。 After a quick digression for a rather charming little date, Sei is off causing more mayhem。Once she gets in Sei is still just doing her thing, which happens to involve constantly upheaving the current way of the world。 She’s also surrounded by a lot of guys and trying to lead a peaceful life, but an investigative trip to the library might soon put her in arms way。。。Well, this is still one of the better isekai out there, although it is definitely leaning hard into the stories that came before it。 After a quick digression for a rather charming little date, Sei is off causing more mayhem。Once she gets involved with creating magic foci, Sei once more proves more adept than anybody else at designing these items and once more threatens to completely collapse the economy (there’s a much more amusing version of this story lurking in this running gag)。The reason this story works for me is because of Sei。 While she’s largely abandoned her old life, she remains a winning and principled heroine。 She’s clearly the titular saint, and she knows it, but I love how she worries about how this affects the other female who got summoned (who remains such a deliciously tantalizing outlier that I almost want to read the light novels)。She might be a little too star struck during her date, but given her lack of success previously, it’s believable。 We then get another male interested in her and a fairly cute meeting with the king - Sei’s refusal to take any recompense for being stranded in this world might be her most saintly action yet。We end off with the knowledge that Sei’s abilities haven’t exactly gone unnoticed and her carefree life is not quite as lackadaisical as it might seem on the surface。 It’s a nice wrinkle that lets us end with the promise of interesting things to come。It’s a little slight, honestly, and definitely lacks a bit of the bite from the first instalment。 While I like what we get, this is a manga that definitely recommends the original series more than some other adaptations I’ve read。 It does feel a little like we’re missing on some of the meat。3。5 stars, but I’ll give it the full four because I like Sei so much。 The story is definitely settling into a traditional isekai groove, but having such a magnificent heroine keeps it a step above its competition。 。。。more

Look now that I read both books the crown prince is a real d*ck。 For one he picks one girl over the other and when it come out that Sei is the Saint I want him to beg forgiveness。 But other then that it is a really good story and great world building。

Sigh, the crown prince went from horrible to a**hol3/ delusional。 That poor other girl I felt so bad for the 16 year old girl。 She may as well have been held hostage by the prince。 I can’t wait to read book 3 to see how the adventure continues。 Lots of thing have been cleared up in this book and I’m interested to see how much more will be added and I want to know more about the previous saint。
