Some grim tales if you are evil or ugly。 Good comes to those who are crafty， handsome and beautiful。 Life was simple then？ Nice art work by Walter Crane， from the 1882 edition。

A few good stories。This book has the more famous stories in their original rough format， not the sweet Disney version。 But too many of the stories are nonsense。

Not the fairy tales of your childhood that you remember。 Some seem familiar but the versions collected by the Brothers Grimm were darker and more horrific。 There were 200 stories in the version I read， and whilst some of them seemed to be very similar or variations on a theme， there were some really original gems in the anthology。

Reading for Coursera course called Fantasy and Science Fiction: The Human Mind， Our Modern World。 The course is fantastic so far， and I enjoyed reading the Grimm versions of a lot of these stories that I already know。
