Okrem nazvov strojov nie su v knihe ziadne texty, co je velka skoda。 Pohyblive casti obrazkov su zaujimave, ale velmi jemne, takze kniha z kniznice uz je v horsom stave。

Bought this for my 21-month-old grandson because he currently loves vehicles because I saw it on the New York Times' best books list。 I knew it was probably more appropriate for a 3-year-old, but we did really enjoy it together, and I think we'll enjoy it for a long while (as long as the flaps, wheels, and sliders don't get torn off)。 Bought this for my 21-month-old grandson because he currently loves vehicles because I saw it on the New York Times' best books list。 I knew it was probably more appropriate for a 3-year-old, but we did really enjoy it together, and I think we'll enjoy it for a long while (as long as the flaps, wheels, and sliders don't get torn off)。 。。。more

The book has great illustrations and moving parts that kids love。 It is unfortunate that it's such a racist/sexist book。 I can't upload any photos on goodreads but I did on Amazon so other reviewers can see for themselves。 There are at least 150 people drawn in this books。 People of different skin tones。 Their facial features are pretty generic, not race-specific。 It's almost cartoon-like, with round dots for eyes。 There are all sorts of vehicles, mostly operated by men。 And then there is one gu The book has great illustrations and moving parts that kids love。 It is unfortunate that it's such a racist/sexist book。 I can't upload any photos on goodreads but I did on Amazon so other reviewers can see for themselves。 There are at least 150 people drawn in this books。 People of different skin tones。 Their facial features are pretty generic, not race-specific。 It's almost cartoon-like, with round dots for eyes。 There are all sorts of vehicles, mostly operated by men。 And then there is one guy who is clearly meant to look Asian with slanted eyes。 Guess what his job is, he is riding a "Pooper Scooter" (this is supposed to be in France), picking up poop。 If you include passengers of various vehicles, etc。, there are probably 200 people drawn altogether。 There is no one else with this specifically Asian facial feature, and they make a point to assign poop-picking to this guy。 What in the world?! Good thing this book was a hand-me-down and we didn't pay a dime for it。 I am going to email Tourbillon (the publisher) to complain。 。。。more

Would have had extra stars but for one thing。 Fantastic moving parts and lots of detail。 Glaringly missing women working in construction and transport though。 A real shame for all the girls reading this book。

I just discovered this fabulous Sorbonne-educated French author Anne-Sophie Baumann。 Do we have enough #womenintranslation in our lives? We do not! Foreign books only get about 30% of book reviews in the USA, and foreign women only get 30% of that 30%。 If you want to raise a child who incorporates a global, female view-point into their world outlook, you will need to do so consciously。 You could change the world。 Create a market for these international authors while you encourage your own child' I just discovered this fabulous Sorbonne-educated French author Anne-Sophie Baumann。 Do we have enough #womenintranslation in our lives? There are vehicles I see in my American life (a harrow - something I did not know the name of), and there are also vehicles new to me, such a French pooper-scooper scooter, or an Indonesian fishing boat。 Then there are the famous international vehicles, like a London double-decker bus, or a dolmuş-style colorful Pakistan bus, and an Indian rickshaw。 Isn't there value in teaching a child to notice and name things with precision? This book can teach a child nearly 100 different styles of vehicles。Best of all, the book also encourages a child to look beyond the surface of things。 There are almost 60 flaps, pop-ups, pull-tabs, and rotating wheels that bring the various vehicles to life。 This book encourages a child to inquire 'how does that work? What goes on inside the machine? Let me investigate further。'Ms。 Baumann has created a whole series of engaging pop-up books。 These are helpful for helping a child develop fine-motor skills。 It a child accidently breaks a flap in the process, it is not the end of the world (the book costs $19。95), but a child can also learn the importance of caring for books and to treat them with respect。 See Ms。 Baumann’s other titles 1) The Ultimate Book of Cites。。。2) The Ultimate Book of Constructions Sites。。。3) The Ultimate Book of Space。。。and 4) The Ultimate Book of Airplanes and Airports。 This title is so colorful and FUN! 。。。more

Would give this book 3。5, actually, but 4 is good for its super-interactive features。My son -1y and 4mo- LOVES vehicles。 He would point at everything, asking for what that vehicles called, and screamed if we ignored him。 My son at this point were too young to be left alone with the books, since all flaps, popups, and pull-tabs were fragile, the book is not a board-book。 He totally loves this books and playing around with all the features。 There are abundant type of vehicles, which is great。 The Would give this book 3。5, actually, but 4 is good for its super-interactive features。My son -1y and 4mo- LOVES vehicles。 He would point at everything, asking for what that vehicles called, and screamed if we ignored him。 My son at this point were too young to be left alone with the books, since all flaps, popups, and pull-tabs were fragile, the book is not a board-book。 He totally loves this books and playing around with all the features。 There are abundant type of vehicles, which is great。 The only thing that is lacking is that most of things that this books covers is only the image of the vehicles。 It would be nice if there are short description that would help us parents, or even the kid themselves, to know the vehicles function or what kind of vehicle that was since everything is very specific。 There are hundreds type of trucks, or even ships, which not all of us familiar with those。 。。。more

This book is so great for little truck lovers!

LOVE this book! It has more vehicles than most & many are completely new to my child。 It has far more interactive pieces than any other similar book we've enjoyed。 That is the only weak point, the materials used are easily broken。 LOVE this book! Anyone who loves vehicles will be in ecstasy over this book since its pages are brimming with almost 100 vehicles。 Many of them have flaps, pull-tabs, pop-ups and wheels to be manipulated and show different parts that cannot be seen from the outside。 The opening pages on this huge board book feature vehicles used for demolition, and there is even a crawler excavator with its claw arm for moving and digging。 While some of the double-page spreads are devoted to city vehicles, there are also two pa Anyone who loves vehicles will be in ecstasy over this book since its pages are brimming with almost 100 vehicles。 Many of them have flaps, pull-tabs, pop-ups and wheels to be manipulated and show different parts that cannot be seen from the outside。 The opening pages on this huge board book feature vehicles used for demolition, and there is even a crawler excavator with its claw arm for moving and digging。 While some of the double-page spreads are devoted to city vehicles, there are also two pages that highlight big machines used for agriculture。 I especially enjoyed the sea travel, air travel [now I can see exactly where the pet carriers and luggage go], and space travel。 One of the aspects of the book that I particularly liked was how it attempted to feature different modes of travel across the world and not just those with which most children born in the United States would be familiar。 This is a pretty nifty book, from start to finish--and yes, if you're wondering, I lifted every flap, pulled every tab, and turned all those wheels。 After all, I had to make sure they were all in working order。 。。。more

This is a great interactive book for children who enjoy learning about vehicles。 They can lift flaps, move parts of the book, and gaze intently at each picture for as long as they'd like。 I especially like that vehicles from around the world were represented - not just those from the US。 Great for a 1-on-1 read for a very young reader。 This is a great interactive book for children who enjoy learning about vehicles。 They can lift flaps, move parts of the book, and gaze intently at each picture for as long as they'd like。 I especially like that vehicles from around the world were represented - not just those from the US。 Great for a 1-on-1 read for a very young reader。 。。。more

This book is amazing and my favourite of the three Twirl Books I was sent。 It simply is a collection of vehicles, both from North America and other places but it presents the information in a fun and totally innovative way that won me over。 This, too, is a board book and Baumann uses this medium to bring the vehicles to “life。” You can flip open tabs and see the insides of the vehicles, you can pull on pulleys on cranes and explore the intestines of rocket ships。 You can peek into cruise ships a This book is amazing and my favourite of the three Twirl Books I was sent。 It simply is a collection of vehicles, both from North America and other places but it presents the information in a fun and totally innovative way that won me over。 This, too, is a board book and Baumann uses this medium to bring the vehicles to “life。” You can flip open tabs and see the insides of the vehicles, you can pull on pulleys on cranes and explore the intestines of rocket ships。 You can peek into cruise ships and see what’s inside the train cars。 This volume will keep your young person occupied for ages – it kept me occupied for ages and I am no child。 I didn’t get to try the book out on Zara as it is meant for children 3 and up because of all the little bits children may put in their mouth in their determined mission to eat the world but if you have a child in your life who is 3 or older, get this book for them! 。。。more
