From top heroes to students from other classes and schools, anyone could be on the same team。

Midoriya is excited for his first team-up mission until he learns that his team includes Bakugo。 Training alongside his explosive classmate would be hard enough, but the pro hero they’ve been matched with is also a real wild card。 Can this makeshift team cooperate, or will Midoriya’s first mission be his last?

Just okay for meI think the writing was the weakest aspect。 It felt like a mix of fandom and a gag comic。 You get a short story each involving All Might, Mirko, Fatgum & Suneater with Yaoyorozu and Ida, Hawks, and Melissa (from the movie, plus her backsory) & Hatsume。 Bakugo and Uraraka also get some scenes。 If you're a big fan of any of those listed you might like seeing them, but for me it just felt kind of flat。The stories:All Might keeps getting delayed trying to deliver a form。Mirko patrols Just okay for meI think the writing was the weakest aspect。 It felt like a mix of fandom and a gag comic。 You get a short story each involving All Might, Mirko, Fatgum & Suneater with Yaoyorozu and Ida, Hawks, and Melissa (from the movie, plus her backsory) & Hatsume。 Bakugo and Uraraka also get some scenes。 If you're a big fan of any of those listed you might like seeing them, but for me it just felt kind of flat。The stories:All Might keeps getting delayed trying to deliver a form。Mirko patrols with Midoriya, Bakugo, and Uraraka。Hawks takes Midoriya and Bakugo on a raid。Melissa and Hatsume compete making Midoriya new gear。Fatgum and Suneater with Yaoyorozu and Ida help a girl search for the prince that saved her。Melissa gets some childhood backstory on entering the support field。Class 1-A fights a villain from a civilian kid's perspective。 。。。more

Welcome to the new spin-off series for My Hero Academia where our beloved characters team up with various heroes and heroes-in-training for one-shot adventures。This series begins sometime after all the students have their Provisional Licenses (so sometime after the Overhaul arc around volume 18; though, Bakugou is seen in his winter gear so it extends to at least sometime after volume 23; the one-shots seem to jump around the timeline) and also includes My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (the firs Welcome to the new spin-off series for My Hero Academia where our beloved characters team up with various heroes and heroes-in-training for one-shot adventures。This series begins sometime after all the students have their Provisional Licenses (so sometime after the Overhaul arc around volume 18; though, Bakugou is seen in his winter gear so it extends to at least sometime after volume 23; the one-shots seem to jump around the timeline) and also includes My Hero Academia: Two Heroes (the first movie) in the canon as there are cameos for both Melissa and David Shield。 So Spoiler Warning!Overall, the one-shots are interesting and it fills in the gaps of day-to-day hero training that gets glossed over in the main series。 However, there are places where this series feels like a gag manga。 Obvious puns, overly exaggerated characters (pg 100-104 Bakugou was a little much, even for him), and the four-panel extras at the end made it feel less serious that the main story。。。which I guess it's kinda supposed to be that way。Either way, it's a fun little collection of side stories and I enjoyed it。 。。。more

Like the first volume of Vigilantes, Team-Up Missions' first outing is mostly one and done stories that were originally printed elsewhere to drum up interest in the series。 Two of them feature Melissa and David Shield from the Two Heroes movie which I feel like is the first time they've appeared in the manga canon, so that's nice, but otherwise there's little to no momentum here, as even the three chapters that are from the manga specifically are just short team-up stories with nothing tying the Like the first volume of Vigilantes, Team-Up Missions' first outing is mostly one and done stories that were originally printed elsewhere to drum up interest in the series。 Two of them feature Melissa and David Shield from the Two Heroes movie which I feel like is the first time they've appeared in the manga canon, so that's nice, but otherwise there's little to no momentum here, as even the three chapters that are from the manga specifically are just short team-up stories with nothing tying them together。 If that's the point, then fair enough, but I was hoping for something a little more cohesive。 。。。more

I loved every single one of these stories, but I especially enjoyed the Mei-Melissa-team since I'd been thinking about those two interacting ever since the movie came out。 Learning Melissa's backstory later was also a treat! It was also nice to see more of Tamaki, he had a very cool "moment of awesome" against the villains in his story。 I also liked hearing in more detail what Fat Gum thought of him。Speaking of that mission, I was enraged when Momo's and Fat Gum's quirks were actually compared on I loved every single one of these stories, but I especially enjoyed the Mei-Melissa-team since I'd been thinking about those two interacting ever since the movie came out。 Learning Melissa's backstory later was also a treat! It was also nice to see more of Tamaki, he had a very cool "moment of awesome" against the villains in his story。 I also liked hearing in more detail what Fat Gum thought of him。Speaking of that mission, I was enraged when Momo's and Fat Gum's quirks were actually compared on-screen and Momo was said to have a healthy appetite when she is still drawn entirely too thin and fanservice-y for what she can supposedly do。All in all very cool little side stories to the MHA canon。 。。。more

This book is full of shorter stories。 I wish it was just one story。 As mini-stories it gets repetitive as it keeps telling us the point of the book - to do team ups with new heroes and past heroes。 I think any fan of the original series would like it。 Or even fans of the anime, but I was less than impressed。 It almost feels like US 8x8s where they just regurgitate a tv show on paper。

Sarah

Absolutely adorable!!! It was great to read some fluffy side stories, especially with how dark the main manga has been recently。 Plus seeing more of Tamaki, Mirko, Hawks, and Fat Gum was fantastic!

Kim

Lots of fun。 I love the TV show, so I liked that this had all my favorite characters but has nothing to do with the show so it didn’t spoil it。

Not gunna lie, I wasn't too sure what I was getting into when requesting this title, but boy am I glad I did!It was a lot of fun to read。 I liked the ending chapters much more than the beginning ones though。This manga is a series of short stories involving our main cast of MHA characters。 We get a story featuring Bakugo and Midoriya, one with Iida and Momo, and some involving characters from the first MHA movie。 I really loved the addition to the lore that these stories gave us。 I learned a lot Not gunna lie, I wasn't too sure what I was getting into when requesting this title, but boy am I glad I did!It was a lot of fun to read。 I liked the ending chapters much more than the beginning ones though。This manga is a series of short stories involving our main cast of MHA characters。 We get a story featuring Bakugo and Midoriya, one with Iida and Momo, and some involving characters from the first MHA movie。 I really loved the addition to the lore that these stories gave us。 I learned a lot about Melissa's backstory, and her fathers。 The Fatgum chapter was super cute too。 BUT I think my overall favorite part of this volume were the short stories involving Bakugo and his mother and father。 Oh my goodness they were so fun/cute。 It makes me want to read an entire series just on them! They are so funny and interesting! I highly recommend this to anyone who is searching for extra bonus material (that isn't at all necessary to the main story of MHA) but will add some extra flavor and fun to the overall feel of the series。 Fun and I will definitely be reading more soon! 。。。more

I received a copy of the ARC via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review。A great side series for fans of My Hero Academia though they explain enough that new fans can follow along too。 It’s a nice break from the main series with plenty of laughs and more details on side characters like Melissa。 If you are looking for a light hearted complement to the main arc you have found the right series! Still plenty of villains and seeing Deku becoming even more “Plus Ultra!”。

This book is super fun and really lets us see how the kids interact with each other outside of the school and with heroes we haven't really been able to interact with as much。 The comic shorts at the end and some reintroductions to other characters were huge highlights。 The art is incredibly similar to the main story and I'm so thrilled with that because it feels like it's by the MHA creator himself! It was also refreshing to read this because the anime (and maybe even the original manga but I can't say for sure because I haven't read them) doesn't have very many "filler" episodes where all side characters get fleshed out。 It was nice to get to see some of the side characters you don't see much in the anime, being in action in this。 I'm not sure if someone who hasn't read or watched any My Hero Academia would enjoy Team-Up Missions, because they might get overwhelmed by all the characters being introduced。 But it's definitely great for those who already love the series and want to have more of it。 Also i must say, I'm really warming up towards reading manga! 。。。more
