Summary

THIS little volume (the result of meditation and experience) is not intended as an exhaustive treatise on the much-written-upon subject of the power of thought。 It is suggestive rather than explanatory, its object being to stimulate men and women to the discovery and perception of the truth that—
"They themselves are makers of themselves。"
by virtue of the thoughts, which they choose and encourage; that mind is the master-weaver, both of the inner garment of character and the outer garment of circumstance, and that, as they may have hitherto woven in ignorance and pain they may now weave in enlightenment and happiness。

ThoughtsThis book discuss briefly the idea that thoughts are a moving force and a person should choose them wisely。 Thoughts are like a garden or a pot you can put trash food to cook a trash meal or a quality food to cook quality food

The man who you are now and what you will be that's absolutely depends on your thought process。 Even your health conditions is controlled by this。 How? Yeah, that's why you need to read this remarkable book by James Allen。 This book concept is not theoretical, those terms that the writer mentioned those are already applied in practical life and the result is proven。 Love it。 The man who you are now and what you will be that's absolutely depends on your thought process。 Even your health conditions is controlled by this。 How? "As a man Thinketh" is a collection of very short lectures on the topic of mind-body, and how what we think of becomes our life。 More precisely, what we think of becomes our habit, and the habit creates circumstances which we call life experiences。 Some of the ideas were true and made sense, but some, like for example, that the mind is the master of the body, were out dated in my opinion。 It also felt on momements like reading the Bible, which is no wonder because even the title is a phrase from "As a man Thinketh" is a collection of very short lectures on the topic of mind-body, and how what we think of becomes our life。 More precisely, what we think of becomes our habit, and the habit creates circumstances which we call life experiences。 Some of the ideas were true and made sense, but some, like for example, that the mind is the master of the body, were out dated in my opinion。 It also felt on momements like reading the Bible, which is no wonder because even the title is a phrase from the Bible。I honestly read it because it was part of my Reading List 2021, but wouldn’t have considered it if it wasn’t。 🙈 。。。more

"As a man thinketh in his heart so is he""As a man Thinketh" by James Allen is the best self-help book ever written on thought and character。 It comprises every self-help books' summary。 It's short reading,in a lucid style。 Every action before happening takes place in your mind as a thought 💭,bad action as a negative thought, good action as a positive thought。 This book gives insight on effects of thoughts on health, character, and in achievement。 I highly recommend this book to every section of "As a man thinketh in his heart so is he""As a man Thinketh" by James Allen is the best self-help book ever written on thought and character。 It comprises every self-help books' summary。 It's short reading,in a lucid style。 Every action before happening takes place in your mind as a thought 💭,bad action as a negative thought, good action as a positive thought。 This book gives insight on effects of thoughts on health, character, and in achievement。 I highly recommend this book to every section of society。 It's a must read, engaging, exquisite。 👌👏I finished it in one-two days。👊It is worth reading many times as you can。 I read it twice。 I will try to make some changes by positive thoughts in my career。 💫💯🙏 。。。more

How can I give someone quoting the Biblical text anything but at least 4 stars。 Guess this book written in 1903 didn’t worry about citations or plagiarism。 How can someone not see the wisdom in thousands of years of eastern wisdom quoted。

Igniting the fires of motivation!A short read that opens up your mind to a positive, determined, goal oriented way of achieving success! A good read on how to stay focused on the mission when the mind asks so many questions。

Alright, so I've heard a lot of good about this book and I mean A LOT!! But honestly I really was quite disappointed by it。 For a couple of reasons:1) The literature used in the book is a bit hard to understand and takes some thinking and re-reading of paragraphs / sentences to actually understand what James Allen (author) is talking about。 It's more philosophical from a reading POV (I'm more the kind of person who would like something that doesn't require me to re-read sentences so often just t Alright, so I've heard a lot of good about this book and I mean A LOT!! I rented this book as an audiobook and listened to it as I went for a walk。 It was a rather short audiobook, because by the time I got back home I had already finished it。 At this very moment I recall that it was okay, however I would probably have to rent it again and give it another shot。

Offers a concise, convincing, and timeless argument for using the law of attraction for self improvement。 As always with these types of books, it’s easier said than done。 That being said, I think there are several nuggets of useful tips for self awareness and achieving more in life。 Its a quick read and probably worth it to most people。

This brief book powerfully challenges how we think about thinking。 I love the fact that this book was written in 1902 and remains so very relevant to the struggles and opportunities of today。 From our prosperity to our health, James Allen reminds us that we are not victims of our circumstances but actually attract those circumstances to ourselves starting with the things we think。 The book is lyrical in style and the artistry of the words and phrases makes it interesting to read and listen to。 T This brief book powerfully challenges how we think about thinking。 I love the fact that this book was written in 1902 and remains so very relevant to the struggles and opportunities of today。 From our prosperity to our health, James Allen reminds us that we are not victims of our circumstances but actually attract those circumstances to ourselves starting with the things we think。 The book is lyrical in style and the artistry of the words and phrases makes it interesting to read and listen to。 This book is a great one to add to your own personal success and motivation library and to reference often to keep the power of your own thinking "top of mind" as you navigate life's obstacles and possibilities。 。。。more
