My goodness, this whole series has been so intense and mind-blowing。 New twists and detail has been added that I really am excited for the next volume!

As always a great readStill my favorite series。 I love the idea of holy warriors。 Glad this book is back in production after so long and hope it finishes without another delay。 My only issue is that after so long it seems the art has changed and not for the better。 It doesn't seem as detailed or shaded as previous issues。 This made the action sometimes hard to follow。 As always a great readStill my favorite series。 I love the idea of holy warriors。 Glad this book is back in production after so long and hope it finishes without another delay。 My only issue is that after so long it seems the art has changed and not for the better。 It doesn't seem as detailed or shaded as previous issues。 This made the action sometimes hard to follow。 。。。more

My enjoyment of the increasingly convoluted plot seems to be inversely related to the actual quality of the art。

4/5 Well shit。。。 I'm caught up now。 I know Volume 27 is out in japan so I can probably get 8 or so more chapters from Scanlations。 It was a wild ride getting this far。 I'll probably just be waiting for the next English release so probably not until mid 2021。 oh well I guess we'll see what happens。 It'd be nice if the pace was picked back up to at least monthly。 Since I'm sure weekly is out of the question。 The cover this time features Cross Marian, a young Allen, and Timcampy。Read 12/17/20 4/5 Well shit。。。 I'm caught up now。 I know Volume 27 is out in japan so I can probably get 8 or so more chapters from Scanlations。 It was a wild ride getting this far。 I'll probably just be waiting for the next English release so probably not until mid 2021。 oh well I guess we'll see what happens。 It'd be nice if the pace was picked back up to at least monthly。 Since I'm sure weekly is out of the question。 The cover this time features Cross Marian, a young Allen, and Timcampy。Read 12/17/20 。。。more

I'm so happy to see Hoshino coming back to DGM。 I loved this volume, especially the end。 This is my OG top series ever, so I cannot wait to see what Allen has in store for us。 I'm so happy to see Hoshino coming back to DGM。 I loved this volume, especially the end。 This is my OG top series ever, so I cannot wait to see what Allen has in store for us。 。。。more

Maybe it's because I haven't read any new DGM in so long and I'm blinded by my nostalgia, but this volume was really nice。There's more background on all the craziness that's happening, the art continues to stun me, there's still snippets of Hoshino's quick and stylistic humor, and the discussion room questions in the back of the book blew me away。 Ten pages? TEN PAGES?! Wow。 I ate it all up。 There's a lot of neat little details put into it as well as small jokes and cute character interactions。A Maybe it's because I haven't read any new DGM in so long and I'm blinded by my nostalgia, but this volume was really nice。There's more background on all the craziness that's happening, the art continues to stun me, there's still snippets of Hoshino's quick and stylistic humor, and the discussion room questions in the back of the book blew me away。 Ten pages? Honestly I have such anxiety over Hoshino dying before she finishes this series。 I feel like we are getting close to the end just by the tone of the series now and name of the chapters, except there is still so much mystery!! Mostly a transition book, lots of character moments and hints to the wider mystery, but the plot didn't move forward that much。 Honestly I have such anxiety over Hoshino dying before she finishes this series。 I feel like we are getting close to the end just by the tone of the series now and name of the chapters, except there is still so much mystery!! This volume contains chapters 223 through 230 as well as a lengthy discussion room answering reader questions。 The discussion room alone was worth price of admission, but the main story is on point as well and made me tear up a little。Not much in the way of main story answers in this one, but some great character interactions and foreshadowing leading into the next volume and dang the art is beautiful in this one。(Also, the chapter titles "Saying Farewell to A。W。" has me very worried about the f This volume contains chapters 223 through 230 as well as a lengthy discussion room answering reader questions。 The discussion room alone was worth price of admission, but the main story is on point as well and made me tear up a little。Not much in the way of main story answers in this one, but some great character interactions and foreshadowing leading into the next volume and dang the art is beautiful in this one。(Also, the chapter titles "Saying Farewell to A。W。" has me very worried about the future of that character。。。) 。。。more

Man I really love this series。 When I watched the first 50 episodes of the anime a few years ago I liked it but didn't love it so I'm glad I finally decided to read the manga。 The characters: the hardships and struggles they go through, the story and the many reveals we get throughout, I love it all。 Like Allen is such a good pure soul and his mantra of "don't stop, keep walking" is so admirable and inspiring。 And watching Lavi struggle with being the next bookman and being a friend/exorcist was Man I really love this series。 When I watched the first 50 episodes of the anime a few years ago I liked it but didn't love it so I'm glad I finally decided to read the manga。 The characters: the hardships and struggles they go through, the story and the many reveals we get throughout, I love it all。 Like Allen is such a good pure soul and his mantra of "don't stop, keep walking" is so admirable and inspiring。 And watching Lavi struggle with being the next bookman and being a friend/exorcist was another fave。 (view spoiler)[I refuse to believe he's dead—pls don't be dead Lavi。 (hide spoiler)] Also finally getting an arc about Kanda and his past was great plus sickening and sad, it was heart breaking。 But it helped make me feel so much for Kanda as we didn't get much about him before that。 And his will to help Allen now because of the regret he feels is。just。so。good。 (view spoiler)[And Kanda's talk with Link about being "the one who'll kill [Allen]" doesn't deter the shipping feels at all。 Mostly because its a trait I also like, that if Allen has to be killed at some point I would want it to be Kanda (but fight on Allen you can do it)。 (hide spoiler)] And learning about Nea and Mana's past surprised me with how much I enjoyed it? I didn't think I'd care honestly but I was so wrong。 Anyways if I had to name some dislikes it would be some of the transitions between arcs, it confused me sometimes。 And characters too as we don't see much of Lavi and Lenalee after volume 16-17 which I guess is understandable as we focus more on other characters but it still felt weird without them。 Oh and I don't think I've read a manga series with such drastic changes in art style throughout as DGM but it was nice to see Hoshino's development。 。。。more
