This is a great cookbook-- every salad I made was interesting and different。 The Mexican salad with chorizo was a family favorite as was the fruity chicken salad。 This book will easily become one I grab off of the shelf for inspiration!

LEON recipe books are excellent, and this one has a high concentration of veggie recipes or ones that can be adapted very easily to be vegetarian, which is important to me。 It's really fresh and interesting, with good photos and clear instructions, well laid out。 LEON recipe books are excellent, and this one has a high concentration of veggie recipes or ones that can be adapted very easily to be vegetarian, which is important to me。 It's really fresh and interesting, with good photos and clear instructions, well laid out。 。。。more

Happy salads, indeed! 4。5 stars。 Although a few of the ingredients aren't easily found in the US, I've tried half a dozen of the recipes, and the results have been great! Lovely flavor combinations-- this recipe book is a keeper。 Happy salads, indeed! 4。5 stars。 Although a few of the ingredients aren't easily found in the US, I've tried half a dozen of the recipes, and the results have been great! A lovely vibrant volume all about salads。 I've copied several recipes to try, and I'm betting they'll be tasty。 Leon is based in the UK, so there's also a few UKisms, including mooli, which is what folks in the states call daikon radish。 Also: there's a mistake in early additions, where the recipe for French vinaigrette has a sweet potato in it。 It doesn't, and they know about the mistake。 A lovely vibrant volume all about salads。 I've copied several recipes to try, and I'm betting they'll be tasty。 Leon is based in the UK, so there's also a few UKisms, including mooli, which is what folks in the states call daikon radish。 Also: there's a mistake in early additions, where the recipe for French vinaigrette has a sweet potato in it。 It doesn't, and they know about the mistake。 。。。more
