When the first volume stood strong on it´s own。 This one was heavealy dependednt on tie-in issues from other events influating the story。

This collection isn't as rock solid as the first but still a great read。 The first arc ties into Absolute Carnage and works really well in supplementing that story。 It has some great story beats for Dylan and has some decent art from Iban Coello。 The Venom Island arc is amazing。 The great Mark Bagley turns in some tremendous pages。 I cannot stress how much I love Bagley's art。 After reading his whole run of Ultimate Spider-Man in my teenage years I just can't get enough of him。 Cates is really b This collection isn't as rock solid as the first but still a great read。 The first arc ties into Absolute Carnage and works really well in supplementing that story。 It has some great story beats for Dylan and has some decent art from Iban Coello。 The Venom Island arc is amazing。 The great Mark Bagley turns in some tremendous pages。 I cannot stress how much I love Bagley's art。 After reading his whole run of Ultimate Spider-Man in my teenage years I just can't get enough of him。 Cates is really building on Venom's character while still honoring the past。 You love to see it。 。。。more
